I got more than what I expected - and I have high expectations. I could not recommend them more strongly. No nickle and diming - the final retainer and everything else were all included in the initially agreed upon price. They did a great job and I'm happy with the results, which included Invisalign treatment for about a year and changing my bite. The staff is friendly, competent, thoughtful, and you can just tell that they enjoy working there. Many dental practices plan on people arriving late, so when you arrive on time, you end up waiting for a while - but not here, I was very impressed that they got me in and out quickly for every appointment. I love this office. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. I'm an adult and in the dental business and wouldn't trust my orthodontia with anyone else. There are many factors to consider with moving adult teeth, such as maintaining healthy bone and occlusion, that require top notch training and experience. Making sure you have a provider that is licensed as an orthodontist versus a general dentist who just has training in Invisalign is very important in determining successful treatment outcomes. It may be a bit more expensive, but is worth every penny to have it done right the first time. Please don't let a downtown Seattle office stop you from going. I have so many good things to say about this office/Dr. Doppel that it's hard to know where to begin. I am on my 4th round of orthodontia (previous 3 rounds completed by other doctors). Dr. Doppel is the only doctor to have correctly identified the skeletal issues and develop a surgical plan to resolve. My treatment continues to be on track relative to initial timeline quoted which is much appreciated. This review is WAYYY overdue! I'm not really into social media, but I want (actually need) to share my experiences with Dr. Doppel and her amazing team. I recently completed Invisalign treatment and I'm very happy with my results. I came to Dr. Doppel in 2020 after I broke my retainer. Since she had been my doctor in 2005 during the arch-wire years, I knew I wanted to work with only her on this issue, so 15 years later, I was back. As before, she and her staff did a great job. I always felt welcomed and safe due to the comfortable reception area, precautions taken because of COVID-19 and overall cleanliness of the facility. The staff was patient, professional, gentle and kind. And they made me laugh! They clearly enjoy what they do and it seems like a fun place to work. Was able to get in the next day for impressions (actually they don't even do impressions anymore - it's 3D scanning; all digital with no goopy mess, how cool is that) and the retainers were ready the following day. From Jan 2022 until July 2023, all my ortho visits were received warmly by the office consistently and I never felt out of place. I started my journey with braces to improve my smile and improvement there was! I am so happy with the results. Every visit with Dr. Doppel, I could ask questions or make small chat. About a year ago I was recommended to Dr. Doppel by my dentist. I was on a tight timeframe because I was not expecting to get news that I needed an orthodontist. Her office stayed open late to accommodate me for a consultation before my flight home and was even able to get braces on me that week to start my care early. I was originally told I would need jaw surgery to fix my smile but when I told Dr Doppel I was not entirely comfortable with that, she did everything she could to align my teeth without surgery. Today marks 10 months since I got my braces on and they are already off!! Dr Doppel was able to fix my misaligned jaw and straighten my teeth WITHOUT SURGERY. A couple months ago my permanent retainer fell out....uh oh. The thing was solid in there for so many years my old orthodontist died in the time between long long ago and now. I've been a patient of Dr Doppel's since June (or July) or 2005. I was 28 at the time. They put braces on my teeth (which was the only time I've had braces in my life.) The staff and the doctor are very friendly. They decided to take my braces off in Feb of 2008, but have continued to schedule me for more appointments to make sure that my teeth don't move back to their initial compacted state. I have a feeling that they will continue to see me until we make sure that my teeth are stable in their place, and I'm extremely grateful for their level of commitment. I've seen a couple orthodontists for retainers since my childhood orthodontist retired and I wish I'd started with Dr. Doppel. I'd gotten my teeth whitened by a dentist back in 2011 (horrid idea, don't do it) and they discovered flourosis on my teeth (it looks like white spots everywhere). My dentist was like "Oh, well there's nothing we can do about it." At my next appointment for my retainer, I mentioned the change to Dr. Doppel and she recommended a special paste for me. After a couple months, the bright white spots were practically gone. She listens to your concerns about your smile and really tries to get you the best help possible. If she refers someone to you, take her advice. I changed to Dr. Larsen at South Lake Union dentistry on her referral and have had zero problems. I've had a couple retainers and mouthguards done by her office now and they're perfect each time. She's quick and her office is very flexible with scheduling. They have in-house x-ray and even videogames in the lobby if someone is waiting for you to finish. All in all, great doctor, efficient office and wonderful bedside manner. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Doppel's for about 4 years, including 1 year of Invisalign and 3 years of occasional checkups. I met with 3 of the most experienced orthodontists in Seattle[1] (and considered many more to reduce the set to 3) before choosing Dr. Doppel. Based on my experience as a patient, I believe she's the most skilled orthodontist in the area and separately, her and her team provide the best overall care. I'm thrilled with the end result and the process. She cares about every last detail and it shows. I didn't have any pain during the treatment. Billing, scheduling, retainer replacement, and followup care was easy and exactly as described to me before I started treatment. The 3D mouth imaging they used was easier and more accurate than bite molds, and seeing a rendered version of my entire mouth with the planned teeth movements was helpful. Aside from being a fantastic orthodontist, she's an incredibly nice person and the office atmosphere is uplifting. That made a bigger difference than I expected because I actually enjoy the visits. I'd gladly sit in the office just to chat with her and the dental assistants. In about 25 visits over 4 years, I don't ever remember waiting more than 5 minutes for my treatment to start. The entire team is on the ball. I think that's at least partly because it's how Dr. Doppel herself operates, so any less from anyone else would stand out. I can't imagine a better overall treatment. About six years ago, I decided to have my teeth and bite 'fixed'. After some research, I decided to visit Dr Doppel's office. Diane discovered that I had a serious gum disease and she recommended me to see other specialists first: I had to wait over a year before she could start the orthodontic treatment. I transferred to Dr. Doppel after my previous orthodontist in Redmond went out of business. I'm now almost done (just need retainers, but will have to get them from another orthodontist as I recently moved to the east coast - right before my last appointment with Dr. Doppel, unfortunately). I have to say I'm very happy with the results overall - my teeth look almost perfect. My prior orthodontist had made some mistakes (IMO) like not placing brackets on some of my teeth, which caused them to move, but Dr. Doppel was able to correct that. Dr. Doppel is very friendly, competent and detail-oriented. She listens to your concerns and explains everything in detail. Really the whole staff (Katie, Lindsey, etc.) is amazing. They're very efficient - appointments are quick and there is never any wait. They are also often able to get you in on the same day if something breaks (like a bracket). The office is modern, bright and clean. They do everything from conventional braces to Invisalign. As others have mentioned, most of the patients are adults.
