We are so happy with the way our closets turned out. Leanne did an amazing job designing our closets with the weird ceiling heights. She utilized every inch. Jeremy and the guys did a fantastic job installing everything. I was really appreciative of how they protected my floors and constantly cleaned throughout the process. read more

Nothing short of amazing! I had 5 full closets as well as a messy laundry room. LeAnne came over last Tuesday and came up with a design for each space. She recommended a painter, Brian, and he came over on Monday and did a beautiful job painting all of the closets and the laundry room. The shelf/cabinet installer/magicians came on Wednesday morning and by 5 pm, everything was FINISHED! And it is the best quality wood. My house is from the 50s and I have a vintage style and I wasn't sure if everything would match, but it's so classy. (I chose wood painted white). I seriously feel like I'm living in a new house. I feel more calm. Everything has a place! Thank you LeAnne and Inspired Closets! I'm so happy! I even told one of the installers that I wanted to marry him, that's how happy I am :) read more

We couldn't be happier with our entire experience with Maxwell's closet. From when we initially expressed interest to install day, everything and everyone we worked with was a top notch professional. LeAnne was our designer and proposed several awesome designs and the install guys (sorry, cannot remember their names!) were just awesome too. Super clean and quick install - they treated our home like their own. We are loving our new master closet and custom pantry install, and wholeheartedly recommend them! We might be in touch soon for another closet or two as well. Thanks again to the team over at Maxwell's! read more

Everyone at Inspired Closets is amazing. Beth helped answer all of our questions during the drain process. Jeremy helped us during the installation and came back several times to make sure everything was done right. I can't say enough good things about the whole process! read more

Jeremy and Jesus did a great job installing in an efficient manner my lovely new closets

Inspired Closets has just finished my Master area project. It was a pleasure working with Maxwell's professional designers & knowledgeable installers. Not to mention the Great Price I received from Inspired Closets; it was 20% less than the quote I received from another Closet Company. I Can't wait for my next project! I'm looking forward to working with this company again and suggest you try them out. You will not be disappointed. Truly, Lindsey Guillory read more

So, I pulled the classic, "Mom turns Son's bedroom into a HUGE closet" move. I do NOT regret it and he will get over it...eventually. Or not. I don't care. It's amazing! LeAnne with Maxwell's was my designer and she instantly became a friend. We had a couple of revisions and it was done with a smile every single time. She went above and beyond to get to my project, even when she had a full day before me. I am extremely thankful for THAT. CJ and Jesus installed my closet to perfection. I have a 1949 farmhouse with stucco walls and some old paneling and the closets look perfect to the eye, even though I KNOW my house is kind of wonky and tilted. :) It's beautiful. Don't hesitate. Call them now. Customer Service is BEYOND 5 stars. Feel free to message me if you want to hear me drone on and on about how much I love them and their work!!! Dream BIG. Go for it! read more

Wow Wow Wow!!! I worked with Lee Anne who designed my beautiful closets. She is amazing at what she does. She knows her business and is able to take your vision and make it a reality. I found her to be so professional, courteous, friendly, and she goes above and beyond to please her customers. She showed me various designs for my closets ranging in price. I appreciated that she showed me the least expensive options first before I fell in love with my final design. She worked within my budget and explained every step of the way when I changed options. I felt I knew what I was getting. Installation day was finally here. A team led by CJ came in to install my closets. CJ was professional, courteous, and very forthcoming about my "wavy walls". The team did the best they could to place the closets and make them look custom made. (I will make a suggestion that they need to make sure the customer is satisfied with the final process before they leave.) I still feel overall the company deserves a very positive review because everything I asked for, they did. There were minor hiccups to be fixed but immediately, CJ came with his team and took care of this leaving me overly satisfied with the finished product. Personal Comments and Suggestions: I always believe if you give a comment whether positive or negative, give a suggestion of how to make it better so here it goes: 1.Make sure the customer understands that a major part of this process is the hours of design it takes to fit the closet not only to your needs but to the dimensions of your room. 2. Customers do need to also understand that there will be issues here and there that can be easily fixed just by asking the crew to work with you. If it is possible, they will do it - they want you completely satisfied. 3.Be prepared when you are making your decisions on your design that you ask the right questions. What type of materials are being used? Do you have pictures of other closets you have done? If my walls are not completely straight, how will you still make my closets look custom made? 4. Customers need to remember that these are prefabricated to your measurements. If you want custom built - then find a carpenter. Maxwell Closets did overall everything I expected AND the fact that these closets are guaranteed for the life of my closet - can't get better than that! Great Job Lee Anne and CJ for making this such an easy experience. Looking forward to working with them in the near future. read more

I used Maxwell's Closet Classics 15 years ago for our master bedroom closet. Craig designed the perfect closet for our needs. Since that closet stood the test of time--it is still in PERFECT condition--there was no doubt that I would use Maxwell's for some spaces in our new home. In addition to our master closet, Craig also designed cabinets for our laundry room that turned a tiny space into a space with TONS of storage. I can't say enough about the quality of the materials, the professionalism of his staff, or the absolutely gorgeous end product. Don't look any further for your custom closet project--you won't be disappointed with Maxwell's Closet Classics. read more

During a renovation, it is rare to be able to count on such timely and excellent work. Not only does Maxwells respond promptly, but they double-check all measurements and contribute excellent ideas to the design. They offer personal service, and you get the sense that they actually CARE. The quality is excellent. We have transformed a tiny space to useful and organized closets. Our office is functional and attractive. Very well done! I highly recommend their work. read more

We were buying a house and wanted a "big boy" custom closet, as we had been doing the Ikea thing forever... Anyway, we wanted to keep all our money local, as far as the renovations were concerned. We researched some companies, and Maxwell's had great reviews, so we went to see them. We made an appointment with Sherry Halley, who actually met us after hours (the only time we could come). They do all their work in the same building that they sell from. When Sherry needed a sample to give us, she walked back to the carpenters and came back with the sample! She showed the various types of closets and all the options, right down to the drawer pulls. We liked her immediately...she is a real spitfire! Sherry came to our empty house and took very detailed measurements of our existing closet, then asked what we wanted in a new closet. She then designed one for us. We went back to a second meeting, picked out the options, and in 3 weeks, we had an amazing custom closet! We highly recommend working with Sherry, and we would recommend Maxwell's Closet Classics to anyone! read more

These photos are considered a completed job. It looks like someone went to ikea and put white shelves in my closets (not the custom design look I was seeking at all). Communication with sales person and design process was lacking and I wish I called competitors. I was stood up by sales person at their studio. They rip out your old closets and they don't fix the damaged parts so you are supposed to paint/refinish closets yourself (which I did not realize and it looks terrible). Closets that were installed don't fit right. They were supposed to hold back 10% of cost in case they needed to come back to fix something - they did not do that. Also the contractors that came told me how stupid of a design my closet was (that he just built!!) and also made 2 comments about other things he disliked about my home (which is brand new). I spoke to CJ about my experience and ***he could not care less*** and made me feel like I made a very bad decision by hiring this company. read more

Craig Maxwell delivers service and quality product in a way that is impressive from initial contact to design to install. I have used this company for at least five separate residences now. I keep going back because the end result is always impressive and just as promised. His products allow me to have a space that is organized, neat and aesthetically great. There is a reason why his company has staying power in Austin - quality and great implementation. read more

Sherry has designed closet solutions for me at my last two homes. She helped identify our needs, and listened to our wants. We actually had three different shops propose design and finish outs. Sherry's designs were definitely the best of all! The cherry on top?: the gentlemen installing the closets were polite and kind, and respectful of our home. We had such a good experience the first time around that we had Sherry design all of the closets in our new home, and I ended up with the closet of my dreams! Call Sherry. You won't be disappointed! read more

Too bad no icon for "negative" stars.... horrible experience with this company. I'd offer the designer a job if I could get her out of there, owner is a jackass! Techs did a horrible install, over priced for cheap materials, asked a few times to make it right and they declined. I wouldn't use them again or recommend them to another builder. Stay away from this company. Photos you see online is not the product you will get. read more

Wow, all I can say is what a relief to have stumbled upon such a great jewel of a company!! After getting a couple of designs and bids from national franchise closet companies I called Inspired closets by Maxwells( local and family operated)Craig the owner came out and did a design for us with a price we could afford. I m so glad I didn't fall for a high pressure company that was offering 40% off and wanted me to sign off before getting another bid. Two weeks later and presto my closet is in!! My entire experience with Maxwells was stellar from start to finish. Cj Maxwell Craig's son even did our install. Hats off to old style service!! read more

Maxwell's Closet Classics was one of the closet design companies I approached to update our bedroom closet spaces that sorely needed more organization. Prior to going to them I approached one of their competitors who were very professional and helpful, but they were not enthusiastic about coming to my area if I did not have ALL of our bedroom closets done, it seems they were really eyeing that we include the Master Closet in our project but at that time we decided to focus on other areas in the house. Since this competitor would not come out to do a final and definitive measurement of the closet spaces I wanted to update, I looked for another vendor for a wall mounted high quality MDF closet system and decided to go to Maxwell's. Leanne was our Maxwell's closet consultant and she was excellent at patiently explaining the reasons behind her design choices. When I had a concern about top shelf height, and with every other changes I proposed, Leanne always returned my messages and calls and she made sure that we came up with a design that was functional and which would appropriately contain what we wanted to store, with room to grow. Installation was a breeze except for a basket that was forgotten, but the installer came back on another day to complete the job. We had the closet space in three bedrooms and two hall closets done, and it is extremely helpful to be able to finally store our items now that there is well-designed functional space. Overlapping with our design consultation with Maxwell's was a consultation we had with another competitor (different from the one I mentioned above) for floor mounted closet system of our master closet. We did decide to go to that competitor for our master closet, because the offer was very good, and honestly it did beat the quote from Maxwell's which was a wall-mount design. Maxwell's quotes are still quite competitive, and they do both floor-mount and wall-mount closet systems; and in working with them you get the added benefit of working with a local non-franchise company who does most of its work in-house. When we are ready to update our garage , we will reach out to Maxwell's Closets again! They are the only vendor so far that i know of in the Austin area who will use 1-inch thick MDF for garage closet systems which we do like. We only wish they also offered services to update garage floors! read more

Local, dependable, knowledgeable, excellent product. Sherry came to our home to measure, and then we went to see specifics at their showroom to finalize selections. She guided us in our design and was patient with all our questions. Jeremiah was such a pleasant and professional installer. Afterward they cheerfully and quickly returned to fix a mixup. Ours was not a million-dollar closet, but they treated us as if it was. Positive experience all around. read more

I couldn't be happier with our new custom closet from Maxwell. Working with LeeAnn was such a pleasure. She was able to maximize every inch and give me a beautifully designed quality closet. Exactly what I wanted at a price considerably less than another big name closet company. Plus, I love supporting our locally owned and operated family businesses. Thank you Maxwell Closet Classics and your wonderful team! read more

Simply Stunning! I can't tell you how happy I am with my new garage and office closet. I contacted Maxwell's Closet Classics about my garage overhaul and the wonderfully talented and friendly LeAnne Young came out for details within a few days. LeAnne viewed what I had in my garage and listened attentively to all that I had to say and after spending about an hour taking measurements and making suggestions she left and a day later sent me the first beautiful design and estimate. Amazingly, the price was well within my budget so I asked if we could make a few changes and they were quickly made and the new design looked perfect. I was so impressed with LeAnne and the reasonable prices offered by Maxwell's Closet Classics that even before I had finished the design for the garage I asked LeAnne back to design my office closet too. The talented and dedicated crew have just finished my garage and to say that both my garage and office are perfect would be an understatement. They look awesome. I have so much space and I can feel the stress just slipping away. My wife has even noticed that I am actually happier and she has caught me whistling and singing songs - something I'm not prone to do. The crews that worked on both of my projects were amazing too. They were respectful, hauled off all the old shelves, cabinets and all the trash, and made sure that the finished product looked perfect. We already have another project scheduled with Maxwell's Closet Classics and I can't recommend them or our designer LeAnne Young more highly. What a wonderful experience. Thank-you so much. read more

Awesome customer service!!!! I had a problem over 3 years after install & they fixed it the same day!!!!

We recently had our master closet re-designed and done by Maxwell's Closet Classics. Our designer, LeAnne Young, did a fantastic job of maximizing space and designing the perfect closet for us, and our needs. The crew who came out to install the closet were great. When we decided we needed a few more shelves, they were ready in a day. We now have the PERFECT Closet, thanks to LeAnne and Maxwell's. I highly recommend them. read more

We recently used Maxwell's Closet Classics for our son's bedroom and playroom closets. We are very pleased, and will definitely use them again for other closets that need to be reconfigured in our home, which we bought less than a year ago. After a brief meeting with Beth to discuss my needs for these two closets on 9/23, I received some designs within a few days, and Javier installed the closets on 10/7. Everything went very smoothly. The closets both look great, and we now have substantially increased storage space. I did look at a few other options for upgrading our closets, and wasn't able to get exactly the design I wanted (particularly for my son's closet). My son's closet previously had a closet system installed that was much lower quality than the one that Maxwell's installed for us. Maxwell's pricing was also very reasonable compared with other options I considered. read more

We moved into our new house last year and couldn't wait to remodel our master closet. The closet footprint is odd, so we wanted the help of a professional designer. We first contacted a large, national closet company and, while we used them for our laundry and mudroom, couldn't stomach the cost for our closet. After finding Maxwell's Closet Classics on the Internet, I called and made an appointment for a free design consultation. Beth created the most incredible, custom design for our closet and kept the cost WELL below that of the other company. She listened to all our needs and wants and tweaked the design to give us a better space than I could have ever dreamed. Installation was on time and completely professional. We are blown away with the final product and absolutely Maxwells to anyone. read more

Beth was great in helping us design a new walk-in master bedroom closet. She pointed out numerous opportunities to maximize the design which we had not considered. Maxwell's built beautiful closets. The installers were great! The closet is beautiful and perfectly functional. Most important you are dealing with the nicest people, which makes the experience all the more pleasing. Great, pleasant people! Great, beautiful result! Reasonable prices, especially compared to the competition! Recommend them highly! read more

Ten years ago Maxwell's did our master closet and storage cabinets in our garage. Over time and, in our Central Texas heat and humidity, there was some deterioration of the shelving. When we contacted Maxwell to replace the shelves at our cost they simply replaced the shelving with new product (and secured the shelves) at no cost to us. That, my friends, is customer service at its finest. If you are considering new closets or cabinets go talk to this business. They will treat you right and you won't be disappointed. Thanks to Craig and everyone at Maxwell's. read more

Just had my garage done - most excellent job. Fit and finish are great and Jeremiah / Eric did a fantastic job - above and beyond as usual. Maxwell also did a handful of my closets post home build. This again, was a fantastic job, great pricing and smiles all the way. Thanks guys! read more

EXCELLENT service from start to finish. Designer Sherry made multiple visits to make sure everything was right, emailed a CAD diagram with pricing promptly for review, provided alternate materials with different pricing and easily accommodated a last minute change which, to my surprise, did not delay the project. Then installation took place two days later (after Sherry's last visit to discuss the last minute changes). I was so impressed by their efficient 3-man crew and their ability to customize the closet while on the job site. We ended up having about 6" extra space on one wall and they asked us if we would like to add it to the current plan, which we did. This is no cookie cutter job. They also asked us for our input a few times during construction (re: location of belt/tie racks & valets), which we appreciated. Now I have a gorgeous closet that not only looks good but maximizes every bit of closet space. Having built three houses, I know a good company when I see one...and Maxwell Closets is one of the best I've dealt with. read more

I have been needing to write this review since the spring of 2013 when I first met Sherry Halley of Maxwell's Closet Designs at the Austin Home Show, now Inspired Closets by Maxwell. Sherry was the designer for my closets in 2013 and I was thrilled with the quality of materials, the installation, and the outstanding customer service. So when we downsized recently I called her to work her magic in my new home. Sherry came to my house to measure and created space vertically to accommodate the smaller closets in this home. Within a day she emailed me detailed specs of the closets which made it easy to envision her design. Sherry made sure I was informed about progress and patiently calmed me down when the installation was delayed by weather. However the entire team at Maxwell's came together to make installation a breeze. I have gotten bids from other companies but Inspired Closets by Maxwell has come through for me in value and excellence, and I highly recommend this great Austin establishment. read more

Maxwells was AMAZING! Our home was new when we bought it but the closets were not utilized to their full potential. Craig came in, gave advice, created detailed sketches, revised them and came in at 1/2 the price of the competitor. The construction crew was neat, conscientious and efficient. I could not even tell they were in my house! Oh, and they were on time AND on budget!!! No hidden costs or upcharges. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to make their house you are in more livable and adding future resell value. read more

I love my closet! I love that I have a place for everything. Beth was great. She came out and looked at everything I had and where it was all crammed and made a beautiful, functional design that was much more affordable than some of the other closet companies. I know where everything is. I can find everything. The process was also quick and clean. I've had my new closet for 6 months now and I still walk in and think, I love my new closet! And it is still tidy because there literally is a PLACE for everything. When there is not, it just ends up kind of a mess! read more

I saw Sherry from Maxwell's Closet at a home show and got her card. Liked what I saw but was a least 9 months out from doing our master closet. After moving in our new home, I forgot the name of the closet company I saw at the home show. I called California Closet & Closets by Design thinking they might have been the one I saw. Then I ran across Sherry card and gave her a call. Sherry was very helpful. My closet was a difficult shape since I have 2 doors. I felt Sherry made the best design for me. Maxwell's Closet was definitely the best price! You can check out the others but be sure to let Maxwell's Closet give you a quote...you'll be glad you did! read more
