We've worked with Inspired Closets on multiple projects throughout our home over the last 4 years, and the overall impact has been significant. Our house is a fairly typical Austin new build with limited built-in storage, so we were left solving for organization ourselves. Over time, they've helped transform several areas, including an under-the-stairs pantry, living room built-ins, a wall bed for a small office, and a large storage cabinet near our entryway. The standout project is probably our pantry. It used to be a dark, awkward squeeze under the stairs that was hard to navigate and even harder to keep organized. They completely reimagined the space with lighting, floor-to-ceiling shelving, drawers, and a small countertop area that now houses appliances we used to keep on the kitchen counters. They managed to make an under-the-stairs pantry feel like a feature, not a compromise. It's a tiny footprint that works incredibly hard and has honestly become one of my favorite spaces in the house. The design process has always been highly collaborative for us. Kelly Toye, our consultant and designer, has been a steady and thoughtful partner across every project. She takes what we ask for and makes it better, consistently bringing multiple concepts and helping us think beyond the immediate moment. One example is the living room storage. We currently use cubbies with baskets for toys, but the system was intentionally designed so those can evolve into drawers or cabinetry as our kids grow. That future-thinking approach shows up throughout the work, including small details like curved open shelving on the wall bed installation, which keeps a tight room from feeling visually heavy and more integrated into the home. Communication and installation were smooth across several phases. Scheduling was transparent, timelines were clear, and the team stayed responsive during multi-room projects. Lead times can run six to eight weeks depending on availability, but expectations were always clearly set. In terms of craftsmanship, the quality has held up well with everyday use. It may not sit at the ultra-high-end price tier, but the functionality and durability have been strong for our family. We've had a couple of minor hardware issues over time, and the lifetime warranty has made those easy to resolve. Service calls have been straightforward, and fixes were handled quickly. One of the biggest changes has been how much calmer our daily routines feel. Spaces that were previously chaotic or underutilized now work with us. Toys have a place, workspaces can flex, and storage evolves as our needs change. It feels less like adding furniture and more like adding infrastructure to the house. Overall, Inspired Closets has been collaborative, thoughtful, and highly functional in how they approach storage design. The spaces they created are not only hardworking but genuinely beautiful, and the value feels strong compared to some higher-end alternatives. If you're looking for solutions that balance aesthetics, flexibility, and real-world usability, they've been a great fit for us. read more

So incredibly satisfied with my new closet. From the design process to the install, I really cannot say enough. The finishes are beautiful and it's amazing how much more space I have. I know this will not only add to the ease of our daily routine but believe it will add value if and when we decide to move. LeAnne Young did a phenomenal job helping us design the closet, helping us choose what would work best for our needs. Danny, David, Mario and Jose communicated throughout the install and it doesn't even look like we had construction here today. Thank you all! read more

I am so happy that I spent the money to get our closets redone. This whole process was smooth and better than expected. Every single person that works here from the designer (LeAnne) to the installer (Taylor) to the customer service side (Emma) were on top of their game and super friendly which makes a huge difference to me when getting any kind of service. My closets turned out so beautiful. When I am laying in bed sometimes I just gaze at them with love. lol. Sounds silly but totally true. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience felt important to share for anyone considering Inspired Closets. I chose Inspired Closets Austin over vendors quoting less than half their price, sold on the idea of a high-end, family-owned business with premium quality and a lifetime warranty. To be fair, our designer Kathy was great -- professional, responsive, and understood our needs well. But the rest of the experience didn't live up to the pitch. We scheduled our install more than six weeks out and planned everything around it -- including clearing the space and coordinating new flooring -- only to get a call *the day before* saying they'd ordered the wrong cabinets. No prior warning, and the install was delayed nearly a month. They eventually waived the final 10%, but I had to follow up to make that happen. Then after install, I noticed one cabinet overhangs a step by nearly 2 inches. It wasn't flagged by the install team at any point, and I only noticed it later myself -- disappointing and surprising for what I was told was an "extremely custom" design. Inspired Closets talks like a premium service, charges like one, but doesn't deliver like one. I would not recommend them. read more

We decided to update our closets and the first thing I thought of was the company advertised everywhere. But the first thing I did was read reviews. Hands down Inspired Closets had the best reviews. I called them and had a response from the area design representative, Rae Ann within a few hours. We met that week, she listened to my concerns, measured and took photos. Within 3 days she called to schedule an appointment at the showroom. My husband wasn't as willing as I was but he went with me and it only took about 10 minutes before he was sold. The product stands up to the sale! It's beautiful, thoughtfully designed and is capable of multiple configurations. The whole team, from the office team to the delivery to the tear out to the install - was friendly, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. Could not have been a better transaction. And it's locally made! We are thrilled with the end result. I waited a month to write my review to be certain it was as good as I felt it was and here I am! Keep Texas businesses thriving! Call Inspired Closets if you want a seamless transaction with positive results! read more

I had such a great experience with Inspired Closets from start to finish. CJ came to take a look at my primary closet and immediately got me so excited about the design, process and impact to my life that the change would make. When I was first quoted a time frame of 2 weeks, I thought that sounded very reasonable for a closet re-design. What I didn't realize was that the appointment would be in 2 weeks but the job time was only 2 days! When the gentlemen came to do the tear down on the first day, one of them noticed a spot where my puppy had chewed a spot on the wall. The first thing he said after introducing himself was he could patch that up for me if I wanted. Completely unexpected and I was already delighted! Once the build was completed, I couldn't help but just want to hang out in my new closet. I couldn't be more pleased with the total Inspired Closets team, of course CJ for taking care of me throughout the whole process, and the result is really a dream. Highly recommend! read more

We are the people who never leave reviews but we had such a positive experience we wanted to be sure to rate Inspired Closets. From beginning to end the experience was professional. IC came to our home to take a look at our space and was able to create a drawing for our primary closet that fit our needs. We went into their show room and worked to refine it to our exact needs. The install happened a few weeks later and was less than a day. We had ample notice to demo our closet and prepare for the renovation. When completed we noticed the area for our shoe rack was too narrow and was not going to work. I will admit panic had set in thinking we just paid to have our closet redone and it was not to completely to our liking. We called Rae Ann and explained the situation and that we really wanted something wider to fit more shoes and make better use of the space. Without hesitation they got to work solving the problem and came to our house a few days later to fix it at no charge. We thought they were coming to re measure and give us a new quote but the team had already re-measured, cut and prepped the new shelves and reinstalled that area quickly. It was such a relief to have an end product we're so happy with. That kind of customer service is what brings you back (and we definitely have other areas in our home we'd like to have built ins done by IC) . Overall, quality, price, responsiveness and timeliness were top notch and its a no brainer to use Inspired Closets. read more

My wife and I love Inspired Closets! This is an incredible company. We whole-heartedly recommend Inspired. We hired Inspired to design and build every closet in our home: four bedrooms, a coat closet, a pantry, and our entire garage. It was a big job. Kathy Bergstrasser was our designer and main point of contact. Kathy is amazing: professional, detail-oriented, and pleasant. Kathy listened. She offered her insights. We were the grateful beneficiaries of Kathy's extensive design experience. Bravo Kathy. The build quality of the closets was first-rate, even better than advertised. The install crew was fast, courteous, and quick to offer tweaks where necessary. We'd like to specifically mention Ross and Brandon. Both men thoroughly understood Inspired's installation guidelines and practiced considerable care in building our closets. Ross and Brandon were phenomenal. Thank you Inspired Closets, Jeff and Jennifer Bowden read more

I am in total shock. This company does not keep the warranty promise. I spent over $5000 for am murphy bed and a wooden bracket broke. The broken bracket cost probably less than a dollar. For 2 years I have tried to get them to fix my murphy bed, but to no avail. The part was a defect and we have only used the murphy bed 3 or 4 time the most. Maxwell's son and another guy came to our home to install my Murphy bed. He reassured me everything was warrantied, and I even bought him and his coworker lunch. Now when I call to get it repaired, I get the same girl at Inspired Closets who has done nothing to help get to a resolution to repair it. She says she cannot do anything about it. She says she will get back with me and never does. Mr. Maxwell, I have been trying to get hold of you to fix this simple problem, but I always get diverted. Please fix my murphy bed. I have always been respectful to you, your employees and your son. Now I feel very disrespect that your employees are doing nothing to resolve a simple fix to my murphy bed. When you told me everything was warrentied, I trusted you. Well, that trust has been broken. Please resolve this and I will remove this negative post. read more

I have worked with Sherry on numerous occasions for custom closet solutions for my homes and I have always been very satisfied with her and the installation = repeat customer... for life! Recently I wanted to add some additional shelves to my closet and I went into the show room and spoke with Taylor about ordering them. She got me a quote and once approved and paid, the shelves were made and ready for pickup. A couple of the shelves had to be remade, but Taylor was on top of it to make sure I got what I ordered. Gold star! Friendly and great customer service! P.S. The money spent on Inspired Closets is worth every dime$, everything in one place, organized, easy to find and keep tidy...and you can adjust your shelves and clothes rods to meet your needs as your wardrobe changes. We worked with Lee Anne for closets for a new place in Austin. Design -- she did an outstanding job taking our input on what we wanted and incorporating that together with a lot of excellent ideas of her own for our designs. The quality of the update and the system they use to present the designs was better than any other vendor we met with. Finish options -- we appreciated the range of options including design choices, and especially finish options that Lee Anne pulled did. It ranged for quite basic to keep costs minimal, to top of the line finishes and options. It was exactly the kind of options that we were wanting to evaluate. Installation -- Lee Anne, Craig and team worked with us as we had a fairly short time frame due to our scheduled move in. They were able to get the installation scheduled fairly quickly, which we greatly appreciated. We had a lot of work ongoing in our unit (window shades, in ceiling speakers, network, etc.) that I'm sure slowed things down for the closet install. Our installation that was only expected to take one day, took about a day and a half. To Craig's credit, they adjusted their schedule and continued on our project to get it finished. Thank you Lee Anne, Craig, and team! read more

We have worked with inspired closets twice. Kelly designed our primary bedroom walk-in closet in 2020. She was amazing and transformed our closet beyond what we could imagine. She made it functional and beautiful. Fast forward, one child later and another on the way, we knew we wanted Kelly to work her magic again, but this time on our pantry and guest room. She delivered. We love our new pantry- it's beautiful and functional and our guest room feels so spacious with our queen size Murphy bed. Thank you, Kelly. We enjoyed working with Inspired Closets so much that we have recommended them multiple times to our neighbors who also loved their work. Thank you for transforming our spaces! read more

My wife and I can't say enough good things about designer Catherine Meyer and her crack installation team (Brandon and Charlie) at Inspired Closets! Last year, this great bunch of pros designed and installed beautiful custom "wine room" cabinetry in a prominent room near our home's foyer, complete with elegant, remote controlled LED lighting, as well custom, built-in bookshelves in our library. We liked the outcome of those projects so much that we invited this crew to come back this year to install custom cabinetry designed by Catherine for our primary bedroom's walk-in closet and for an adjoining laundry room where we are adding a new sink. Yesterday, Brandon and Charlie completed those installations and the results are fabulous! Highly recommend! read more

Wow! Simply amazing! We recently moved to the Austin area and bought a home that has absolutely NO storage or built-ins! Kathy with Inspired Closets designed a gorgeous cabinet for me to hold all my sewing machines, table, knitting yarn, & notions. I am so pleased with the way it turned out and how it fit perfectly into its intended niche! It is exactly what I wanted! Kathy also researched the "right" sewing table for me that hides away inside the cabinet. I'm very excited to start sewing again. She is now designing a cabinet to house all AV receivers in our media room. Can't wait to have it installed in a few weeks! read more

I would not recommend using this company. The representative for this company was terrible. Very poor communication. Never stuck to any dates that were set. I've looked at other companies for almost a year and was a bit overwhelmed by all of it. At one point I thought that I could even do it myself, lol. I contacted Alyssa and she could not have been nicer more professional or easy to talk to. she listened to me and designed my closet and re-designed it until it was right. The installers Branden Troy and Christian were efficient and made it look absolutely beautiful. No, I could've never done anything like this on my own! Inspired Closets customer service is great! Alyssa did an amazing job working with us to create a closet that met our needs and budget. I've been really happy with Inspired Closets. They have great quality materials and they have transformed several poorly-utilized spaces in my home into storage havens. I worked with Beth on the design of my entryway coat closet, my daughter's oddly-shaped step-in closet, and on my laundry room, which is going to be one of my favorite rooms in the house. The installers have been super easy to have in my home! They have been quiet, polite, tidy, considerate. They really want to make sure you like the whole experience in addition to the outcome. I've also been really happy with their customer service and scheduling. I've had a bunch of delays on my project and they've been awesome, reaching out every few weeks to get me back on the calendar. read more

Incomplete Job I wouldn't recommend the company based on their followup on an order they didn't complete. I ordered a custom closet to be installed, and I noticed one of my drawers wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a 24" sunglass tray and it was never sent. When I emailed them Shawn said it's a custom order that is 6-8 weeks and do I still want it? Yes, I want what I paid for. There was no apology, or explanation on why it wasn't ordered in the first place. They came by to "pick up my drawer" and do a custom job. It was just black velvet with 2 plastic separators on the side. Not a sunglass tray and definitely not what I paid money for as the price points are not the same with this. I would go with another company. read more
