This is an UPDATED comment after learning that the business had a communication glitch (thanks, technology!). INNOVATIVE STREET LIGHTS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO GO FOR VEHICLE LIGHTING. I took my new-to-me car to the shop yesterday for brighter headlights. My 2015 Nissan had amber headlights which only offered diffuse lighting for Monterey's oft foggy and unlit roadways. I wanted the opportunity to see and to be seen when I drive at night. The owner emailed me last month to let me know that his shop could install the lights for my budget & the process would take 30 minutes max - no appointment needed. I stopped by yesterday morning & was welcomed into the cleanest mechanic's shop I've ever seen. Not a speck of dust or drop of oil anywhere. Everything was spotless and freshly painted. The vehicle lighting displays were numerous & offered something for every customer. Of course, I'm sensible. The owner suggested that I add fog lights for additional safety while I'm driving and found a set that matched my budget. Done! Lights look great and will ensure that I see everything while I'm driving. After a while of being a "returning customer" a loyal customer that trust someone to work on their pride and joy. It takes trust and being able to rely on that person to get the job done right. Eddie at Innovative Street Lights has done that. When my girlfriend got her new 2017 Grand Cherokee, I already know what I wanted to get done on it. A new black grill, HID headlights and fog lights. Eddie treats his returning customers good, all it took was a phone call and he order my HID headlights and fog lights told me to bring in my after market grill inserts no deposit required. Shaoow!! So the day of the appointment we came through dropped off the car and before we knew it Eddie called us and told it the job was done. Went in to get an estimate on some lighting work on my 2022 Tundra 1794. Spoke with Eddie and he was able to get me in that afternoon. Eddie took the time to hear my needs and made sure I was highly satisfied. I had the OPT7 Running Board Lights with sequential turn signal install and had him fix my OPT7 Redline Triple LED Tailgate light bar. Eddie knows his electrical. He was able to fix the issue on my OPT7 tailgate lights as well. He's awesome and his mom and dad are very nice. A family owned business. 5 stars to Eddie and more. TL;DR - fantastic service - lots of lighting options - Saturday by appointment only I think HID kits are a one-way street. You install it on one car and you never can do without it after. I remember driving with it on CA46 (way before the improvements and when it was absolutely pitch black when you drove alone) and it was a major visibility difference. So now with each new car, I make sure to have it installed the moment I have a chance. I found Innovative Street Lights on Yelp but have actually come across them at SEMA in Vegas a few years ago. They are definitely good people and owner Eddie and his right hand man Jaime are those guys that genuinely care about their customers. They both share their knowledge freely to help you make the best decision possible out of the various options they have available. It really doesn't get any better than that. One thing I've come to really appreciate now having two cars done here is their willingness to fix issues that arise after installation. One of my cars had an installation done more than a year ago and one of the lights went out. I drove it in and mentioned it and they checked it out immediately. Figured it as a connection issue, redid and reinforced it, and did it for FREE. Isn't that just plain awesome? Oh, they also change your interior lights to bright LEDs as part of your service for no additional cost. If you need to get your lights done, this is definitely the place to go. read more

I took my 29-year-old Crown Victoria here because of three non-working lights in the instrument cluster. Eddie and Jaime spent what must have been several hours taking apart the cluster, checking bulbs, circuit traces, wiring, etc. In the end, they weren't able to solve the quirky problem, but as a result they adamantly refused to take any payment at all despite the time they put in. While I was there, I saw samples of the high-end work they do on newer cars, and I would also add that Eddie and Jaime are a pleasure to talk to. Living in Hollister I took my 2016 Chevrolet Silverado to three different mechanics including the Chevrolet Dealership to fix my HID headlight that went out because of a short. No one wanted to touch it due to that if they messed it up it would cost alot more to repair. I went online and Innovative Street Lights popped up on Google. I gave them a call and Eddie picked up the phone and I told him my problem. He told me to bring it in so he could check it out. I showed up an hour later and was greeted by Eddie. Great place. I took my mitsu eclipse to have my headlights restored and they came out great, very clear. And also had my bulbs replaced for brighter vision and came out looking mean and clean. My only complain would be the car wrap. I had my hood, roof, and trunk wraped in their carbon fiber vinyl in april and now it has began to peel on all three parts. To be honest, my trunk is very complicated to wrap and i was informed by the technician that it was gonna be uneven and i understand. But the hood was what bugged me since it was the one that peeled the most and began first. They guarantee all their work, most up to a year. The ones I ordered wouldn't fit with my bumper.. I can't say enough about the great service and prices that this family business offers. I met Eddie and his dad at the Santa Cruz flea market. He told me that HID lights would really make a difference and sold me a set, installed, for $85, half what you would pay anywhere else. He was right. I was sold. No more dark streets. No more skateboarders popping out of nowhere. So I went back to his store for more. I'll never drive a car without a great LED system again and why not pay half? They installed interior and exterior LEDs...the price was ridiculously low. They also buffed out the plastic on the lights, something I see other places charge more than $100 to do for each. He did all for $50 total. To top it off, he offers a lifetime guarantee on the lights, the ballasts and the work. In some places, that might be unbelievable. But having followed him for a year now, I know that his word is gold. So, is it worth the drive from Santa Cruz or San Jose to Salinas? I have to say yes.
