After…read morecalling all surrounding dealerships, I realized that I needed an alternative that would be reasonable vs their crazy prices. My friend recommended Wolf Autopower and I am really glad he did. Tihomir was very honest and up front with all costs. Not only did he come in $1000 less than the dealership and he also met the quoted price that he sent me prior to the maintenance. Additionally he was able to highlight that the water pump was more than likely leaking for a longer period of time because the timing belt was actually melted from the coolant. We were on borrowed time with it and this could have turned badly if we did not get this repaired promptly. Lastly, after taking to Tihomir, it's clear that he has a lot of experience with VW/ Audi (especially TDI). I highly recommend anyone with a VW or Audi to call him up for any service. P.S.: I also chose to follow his recommendation on a Unitronic Stage 1 flash, and it gave the car a noticeable difference in acceleration.

There have been times that I have taken my car in to them swearing that work needs to be done (used to work on my cars a lot when I was in my teens) and they would check it out and tell me,"Nope, everything looks good." About a year ago my alternator started to go so I took it in and had them replace it. Pick it up a day or two later and go on about my business. About a week later some warmer weather hit and I noticed the A/C wasn't working. Called Tim up, and he assured me that even though he was really busy he would get to it. Sure enough, he checked it out and the A/C not working was due to a connection on the new alternator. He fixed it, no charge. I also had a wheel bearing replaced there back when I first got my car. They replaced it and it started acting up again 15 months later. Even though I was three months out of their "shop warranty" they still fixed it, free of charge. I have more stories like that about these guys so I won't keep going on. I won't go to another mechanic for 50 miles.

Highly Recommend Dynamic Auto in chantilly, VA…read more We have been using Dynamic Auto, Leon and Phillip for over 10 years for services for a Lexus, Acura, and Toyota. Our Lexus SUV needed work and we had a quote from one of the big automotive repair chains. We used the chain for oil changes and minor items as they are closer to where we live. The quote from the chain for 4 items that they recommended was $917 and we then went to Dynamic Auto to see if the replacements were necessary. They were and we paid Dynamic Auto $491 for the same work quoted by the chain. Over the years, we really have been able to trust Dynamic Auto for assessing whether any repair is needed and then to do good work at a reasonable price. We have always trusted Leon and team. In fact, in the past Leon has told me that a repair that another shop wanted to do was not needed, so they always put the customer first rather than more income for their shop. I fully trust their assessment and know they will give us an honest estimate that reflects their costs.

I was so happy when I found Merv's. I thought they did good work and were honest. I was wrong. I brought my car to Merv's for service. I provided my own materials. My bill should have been around $30-$40. I was shocked when I looked at my bill. It was more than double what it should have been. I asked why it was so much. Merv, who was sitting in the front office began to squirm and told me it was because a wheel balance and tire rotation was performed. I immediately asked if it had actually been performed. I did not request that to be done. Rather than correct the invoice, Merv asked me if I wanted a credit. Really? You overcharge a customer and then ask if they want a credit. I was told that I had already received a discount because I provided my own materials. So, to recap, buying my own parts and not allowing a shop to overcharge me for materials is considered a discount. That's interesting....what Merv calls a discount is called fraud under Virginia state law. Buyer beware. The attempted gouge was far more expensive to Merv than he imagined. You have been warned.
