When I first walked in there was a long line but it moved very fast. I was greeted by the nicest team member (I wish I could remember his name). Not only did he help me find windshield wipers at a reasonable cost but he also taught me how to change them just in case I was ever in a bind again. Once everything was done the ENTIRE staff made sure that I was all set to go. If you're looking for a staff that's friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful this is the place to go!

I was at Gold's Gym in Gunston Plaza this morning and when I came out, I found that one of my tires…read morewas flat. I drove it over to Auto Zone in the same parking lot. Fixing flat tires is not something they do but they offered to help me! The man in charge was so kind. He told me they were super busy and understaffed but that he would send someone to out as soon as possible. While I was waiting, I watched how they all worked together so beautifully to help each and every customer. I wish I knew the name of the man who came out to help me. He had just finished a heavy job and had helped a few more customers, but he made sure to take care of me! When he looked at my tire, he knew right away that there was a hole. He patched the hole and filled my tire with air making it perfect again! I asked to go inside and pay for it and he refused payment. I can't tell you what this little moment meant to me! The people who work at Auto Zone in Lorton Plaza are professional, experienced, expedient, and KIND! I'm emphasizing "kind" because to me that is the greatest trait of all of these! When I purchased the new battery the gentleman who helped me signed me up for an autozone thing where I provided my phone number and If I had any issues they would be able to pull my account up and see the warranty on the battery. They were not able to install the battery so I went to another location to have it installed and told the gentleman who helped me purchase the battery that I would return the battery after the holiday. He said fine. When I went in on 1/2/21 the young lady at the counter was unable to look up my account. I even showed her the original receipt. She said there was nothing she could do because my information was not in the system. I asked her if she could add my information the receipt I showed her had all the information. She said no. I asked to speak to a manager because she kept going behind the shelves to speak to someone. The man she was speaking to said he didn't have the time to help me because he was the commercial manager. I asked what were my other options. She suggested with an attitude she could do a return and charge me again. That didn't make sense because i would be charged again and wouldn't get the money returned to my account for 5-7 business days. All I wanted to do was make sure my warranty was noted and deliver the old battery and receive my $18 return. Finally the young lady handed me a receipt and said the $18 would be refunded but it wasn't. And it's been several weeks. I went back to look at the receipt she gave me and noticed it says "Return Voucher". This autozone is not helpful or customer service oriented. I will never go back to this location no matter how close it is to me. And I will be telling others how the "Commercial Manager" and his staff were not helpful at all. If I could've given zero stars I would have.

I had my car towed here and batteries changed. The person who installed it said that he was the…read moreonly one who could install batteries and asked for a tip to do it. I said OK because places had refused to install the battery although it's not that difficult. They're both under the not under the seat, like some other jeeps. After he installed it when I turned the car on, there were a lot of warning lights on the dashboard which I mentioned to him and he said that that was normal and they would turn off eventually so I drove away and 2 miles up the road the car gave a warning that it was going to shut off and it didn't even allow me to put it in park before it stopped in the middle of a busy road I called AutoZone back and spoke to the person who installed my battery. He said that it had nothing to do with him and it was an underlying issue, I said I didn't have any before this battery issue so I doubt that that's the case. I asked him to come up 2 miles up the road to check it and he said no so I was just stranded in the middle of a road. I finally tow truck and when they looked under the hood, they saw that none of the wires were actually attached and everything was loose inside, so I'm not sure why he thought this was but he put me in a lot of danger that day.

I recently went to a service center at a gas station for an oil change and a maintenance check, all at a scheduled time. Was told it should take about an hour when I made the appointment. They started on my car 1//2 hour late and I waited a total of 2 1/2 hours for it to be done. A battery test indicated that it needed to be replaced soon. They didn't have one in the right size at the time and told me to check back to find out when one was available and then make another appointment to bring my car back in. A few days later I decided to go to Auto Zone for a free battery test that Javon conducted and that showed the same results. When I bought my battery there I was offered a 10% discount.Then Gavon installed the new battery for free in 10 minutes. This is what good customer service is all about!

One of the employees in a grey shirt was extremely helpful and professional--great customer service and really tried to assist us with the return, even though the packaging was slightly damaged. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by another employee (whose photo I've attached). While she was helping another customer, she loudly made disrespectful and uncalled-for comments about us, saying things like, "They prolly tryna return the wrong parts," and, "That's some snake sh*t." Totally unprofessional and unnecessary. My wife proved her wrong by pulling the exact same part off the shelf and showing that it was indeed the right item--just missing a piece of the packaging. Even after being proven wrong, this employee didn't apologize or acknowledge her behavior. She continued yelling across the store and cursing behind the register while kids were around. Completely unacceptable. This location has lost my business. Unless that employee is disciplined and taught how to act professionally, I won't be back

I went back to return these with the receipt and the cashier would not accept my return. She brazenly brushed me off by looking at the cables and told me I had already used them. I told her I had not used them and had just bought them when I found my own pair. She refused to listen and just seemed to be looking for an excuse not to allow the return. The cables were in the original packaging with the receipt but she could have cared less. I told her that Advanced Auto takes returns of tools and other items like jump cables even if the customer used them. I explained that Advanced Auto looks at it as lending tools and are happy to make the return refund, she still didn't issue the return. The fact is I had not even used these jump cables. I told her I will be submiting a review of my experience and she said, "Go right ahead". She has absolutely no sense of customer satisfaction and encourages bad reviews. This Auto Zone is just across the street from where I live but I will never go there again.

I brought my car to Lorton Auto after KIA Woodbridge said I needed back brakes to the tune of $509…read moreon 7/18. My brother said that was pricey & to check with another place or bring it to his shop. I emailed Lorton Auto and they said my brake pads were good when they did my saftey inspection in December. i should not need brakes. I brought my car in 8/3. Lorton Auto brought me out to my car and showed me my brakes pads. They showed me with the measuring tool. I had more pad in the back than the front but both were good. They did a 50 point inspection that contradicted multiple things i paid KIA to do on 7/18 that KiA did not do. This is a trust worthy shop. Again they showed me. My car was where I could see it. They explained in detail & showed me the reading & meter that my brake fluid had 4% moisture. I paid KIA $200 + on 7/18 to do my brake fluid change. Lorton Auto is place from now on. Here I know my car will get good honest care. Here they show me what my car needs and don't try to scam me to make money.
