Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

Service was friendly and quick enough, nothing over the top but they checked in at the right times. Ambience is casual and pretty much what you expect from an oyster bar on a Tuesday evening. Slice of fake cheese and oil soaked bread. Took 2 bites and covered it up like it was dead. It was gross. Fries were cold. Beer was cold but only got four drinks out of the cup! Paid 27 bucks for a sandwich and small drat beer. I don't mind paying for quality food and service. Bartenders were all huddled together talking about who knows what. Not attentive. I refuse to pay 11 bucks for a small cup of draft beer. But I did, I drank it. Place was cool looking. Must have spent a fortune on the building out and left no budget for quality food. I see these new places open up and not last too long. In today's current situation, be fair. Build your customer base.
