I got the Bayside platter with spicy seasoning and my partner got the krab platter with lemon pepper seasoning. The spicy seasoning with the shrimp and crab was amazing. Not overly fake butter tasting with a comfort spice level for me and plenty of good flavor besides the spice. The corn, egg, and potatoes were a little overcooked but they were still superbly seasoned. My partner's krab platter was a little less impressive, only because the lemon pepper seasoning was weaker than we would like. If it had come with some lemon wedges, we would have been over the moon. My second seafood boil ever was here. I got a Krab Boil and my bf got one that was a mix of crab and shrimp. I got Lemon Pepper sauce and bf got Cajun. This may just be me, but my sauce didn't taste like much other than pepper. I was expecting more lemon taste, even more butter taste, and the sauce I got did not deliver. The sausage was also meh. However, I enjoyed the corn, potatoes, and the crab was so well cooked that it came out in big chunks almost every time. I also felt like I got good value. The atmosphere felt just a tad dingy and we did wait a LONG time for our food, nearly an hour. So while I enjoyed my meal to an okay degree, I don't feel the largest inkling to return. I'm finally getting around to do this review. I have been there twice in the last two weeks. First time I got the Kastaway Platter, this was great....now of course you get pieces instead of the clusters but you get 2 pounds!! And I added a lobster tail. Flavor was great! The first time I ordered I got the K-Style butter. Very good...slightly spicy but not bad at all. This was a great deal even though you didn't get crab clusters! The second time I ordered I got the Krab platter and an extra cluster. This time I tried the garlic parmesan and lemon pepper. While they were both good, I would prefer the K-Style butter. The staff there is very nice and helpful when I went the first time. I was shown my order before I left so I know I got the right thing. And let me tell you, hold the containers with two hands because they stuff the container FULL!!!!! This will probably be my go to place in the future as I thorougly enjoyed the food. Two things....my lobster tail was a little tough but the flavor was still there. And the potatoes while very tasty I wasn't sure if if it was a baker potato mashed, or it was actual potato pieces. Stopped in on a Tuesday around 2 PM and the place was completely empty, which made me a little nervous--but thankfully, Paris, the bartender/order taker, made the experience better. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered from the lunch menu, which had generous portions and better pricing than the regular options. We got two seafood plates--crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and egg. One plate included sausage, the other didn't. We also tried the Cajun fries, which were the highlight of the meal--crispy, hot, and seasoned just right. Unfortunately, the seafood itself lacked the Cajun punch we were hoping for. I asked for the spiciest butter they had, but it still felt underwhelming--either the seasoning was off, or it just wasn't bold enough. Also, be aware: you only get one butter flavor with your boil--additional flavors come at an extra charge. Interestingly, there were Po'Boy lunch specials available that weren't listed on the menu, so make sure to ask. Paris made some great suggestions and was definitely the standout of our visit. I really wanted to like this place. They are close to home and I've seen good things online about them. Based on reviews it seems they can be crowded with long wait times. So I decided to order online so I could grab my food and enjoy it at home. I ordered online, very smooth process. I arrived a little early to the restaurant and was promptly greeted by the friendly waitstaff. My food was not ready so I sat and waited. Small but clean place but I noted that there were only 2 people eating in the restaurant, maybe because it was a Thursday? Anyway I get my order, they opened the box and from what I could see it appeared to be correct and left the restaurant. I got home and sadly learned that my order was in fact not correct. I was missing my sausage which is one of my favorite items! I still decided to try it out, and realized it was partially on me as they showed me the food before leaving (I assumed sausage was under other food). Here's where I unfortunately continued to be disappointed. The crab legs presented were small, not fresh, and overcooked. The potatoes were hard and underdone. I went to Krustaceans Saturday afternoon. It's a really nice black owned restaurant. They had a decent crowd in the afternoon but we didn't need a reservation. The decor was casual and fun. Now let's talk about the food. We got the small shrimp platter with the garlic Parmesan sauce. It was tasty but I think the Cajun or Spicy may be better. I will try that next time. We also had the fried lobster tail and fried fish. I really liked the fried lobster. It was not over cooked and also affordable. The fish and lobster were both delicious. It included an egg, sausage, corn and potatoes. I would guess that it was 1-2 potatoes that were cut up. The lobster was huge. As far as the amount of food, it was worth the price. I wanted a fried lobster tail but was told that they were out of all fried foods. I regret not choosing a different flavor. A friend and I decided to check this place out because we were craving seafood. We don't live in this area so we made the drive out to Lewisville to check it out after seeing and hearing great things about it on social media. The service was AWESOME!! The staff was very attentive and had great attitudes. They really made it a positive experience for us. The drink suggestions were on point. They let us sample their famous punch and it did not disappoint! Ultimately we went with their Kandy Bowl. It was strong, super sweet and fruity and super cute! If you like fun fruity drinks but still strong. I would recommend the Kandy Bowl. I will say, we were a bit disappointed in the food. I had the regular fried fish (Sway) with fries and my friend had the fried lobster tail and waffle. Both lacked a bit of flavor. We used a tiny bit of salt and some hot sauce to add some flavor. We also had the Mac and cheese which was really bland and didn't have great consistency. If I lived closer I'd give them another try. Sometimes, places have an off day and the quality of service was so great it's worth giving another shot. I switched chairs and I think this is just how they are made. I am still praying (as I type that I don't break it ). No sudden movements, Garry! They have plenty of TVs if you are into that kinda thing and had music playing. My food was delivered and I got the lunch Fish, Shrimp & Chips Combo along with a la cart Lobster Tail. Disappointed Experience I brought my family here from Dallas after seeing some great reviews on Instagram. We were genuinely excited to try several things on the menu after church, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. I originally came for the Seafood Baked Potato, not a particularly complex item to prepare, but was told they weren't serving it because "it takes too long to make." That was frustrating, especially since it's featured on their menu and socials. I pivoted to the Seafood Mac, only to be told that wasn't available either due to shipment arrivals, which apparently don't come in until Monday. It would've been helpful to know in advance that certain items aren't available over the weekend. On a positive note, the crab & shrimp boil was flavorful and well done, butter sauce was , I'd definitely recommend that to someone who chooses to visit. And I'll say the staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating. Still, between the lack of menu availability and the overall letdown, I personally wouldn't return.
