This is the place of my dreams... unique, delicious, and healthy. I love cake but I always feel sick after eating it but when I eat the cake at ingrained, I feel ENERGIZED and SATISFIED... imagine that! Sydney masterfully creates yummy treats with both taste and your health in mind. You can really tell she cares and is extremely passionate about creating REAL nourishing food. The raw bars are the brands staple and they are INSANELY delicious and they are constantly coming out with new flavors, which is incredible... you're supposed to eat them frozen but I personally love to let one sit out for an hour and eat it like a cheesecake Her husband, Andrew, is also great- very kind and personable, so I always feel welcomed when I come here!! I originally came here last summer and fell in love.. it was actually at the top of my "pros" list for moving to Chicago lol seriously not kidding- I even road-tripped out here in November purely to come here. Coming from LA, I'm used to seeing all sorts of health food places but honestly they tend to either be unnecessarily overpriced (I'm talking to you erewhon) or just claiming to be healthy but then you ask what products or oils they use and they actually just use the cheapest items they can, but ingrained is different! They don't skimp on the brands/products they use and wish to maximize their items nutritional punch!! Also, it's important to note that this is definitely a take-out type of place... not a bad thing!! but I would recommend placing a pick up order online (the menu is always up to date!) as they tend to be busy preparing orders inside. This was my first time trying ingrained and I AM SO HAPPY THAT I DID! One of my friends consistently talked about trying this place so I finally decided to. The staff was so friendly and gave me all the information on different raw bars, breads, soup etc that I may like. The ingredients are excellent and do not give any of the treats a weird "healthy" taste. Everything tasted amazing! I decided on the cacao sourdough and a cinnamon roll. I can definitely say that I could eat the raw bars all day everyday. It is an addiction I would love to have. I do wish more calorie information was given but nevertheless I will definitely be coming back to try the different raw bars. read more

Ok, this place is FREAKING AMAZING! All of the raw bars, truffles, granola are absolutely FANTASTIC. I haven't tried the tonics yet, but it's on my list for next time. I must admit, I've been here twice in 5 days...what can I say, when something's this good, im going to be there. Vegan, organic desserts that taste like heaven. Yes, it's pricey...but whatever, it's freaking amazing! And probably a shit ton better for me than three fourths of the garbage I put into my body. Update: Owner's response had to be removed from Yelp because they violated the terms of service in their response. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Their response was extremely condescending without taking responsibility for their actions. They act rudely as if they are so much better than their customer, reprimanded my freedom to express my true experience, and completely gaslighted the situation to make themselves look in a good light when it is 100% not true. I literally have never said this, but I genuinely wish that these owners go out of business because their business practices are horrible and not a great representation of Chicago's hospitality. If you want to support small businesses, which I genuinely do, please go and spend your money elsewhere because there are many other great businesses out here. We ordered from Ingrained twice while in Chicago for 2 days while passing through. The first was for 2 flatbreads and a cheesecake bar. The flatbreads were great but I was shocked at how small they were. I was expecting a large flatbread and instead received a small square. The cheesecake bar was just ok. The next order was for a cinnamon bun, cosmic brownie cup, and puppy chow. The prices are incredibly high but that's to be expected with quality ingredients. I have a major sweet tooth so I'm always on the hunt for treats that are both gluten and diary free. When I found ingrained it not only satisfied my sweet tooth it completely blew me away!!! The best part is after you eat their amazing treats you don't feel sluggish like you do after you eat typical sugary desserts, you feel amazing! My friend brought ingrained over for dessert for a dinner party, she had always been talking and raving about it, posting about it. Finally her and I went. Mind blown. If you have not tried because you'd think vegan or non dairy desserts will have zero taste and be boring and bland, you're completely wrong! I've gotten some desserts delivered from Ingrained and finally had a chance to stop by the store and love the vibe there! Not much seating available, but all the staff were super friendly and they offered free samples and gave me a free treat. I love their raw bars, which is basically a healthy version of an ice cream bar with fun flavors and layers. The flatbread is also delicious and chewy, and they rotate the toppings based on seasonal ingredients. My only complaint is that it's pretty pricey for small portions, but that's basically what I'd expect from a health food spot. As someone who has tried many healthier options in other cities like LA, they truly have done a great job here. The ingredients are 10/10 -- honestly they did an amazing job with making desserts look and taste "guilty", but actually aren't because of the quality of ingredients, and lower amount of sugar. Also - curbside was super easy. We ordered online and it was ready in 10 minutes, we called and they brought it out right away. Really nice people. My family had such a wonderful experience at Ingrained! We were so warmly welcomed & the owners took such genuine personal interest in us. All of the desserts were delicious. I've never been so obsessed with something that I've never experienced. About a week ago I had a friend send me this Instagram account. I started following and was immediately addicted to the media posted of these unbelievably photogenic sweet treats. I haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I've added the treats to my cart more than once and with my severe ADD; have ended up continuing with my day without checking out... I have just been WAITING for a reason that holds my attention long enough to execute this transaction. Low and behold, my best friend was cheated on over the weekend and dumped her boyfriend. WHAT A PERFECT EXCUSE!!!!! Not only would these sweet treats inevitably cheer up my friend, but they're GF and Vegan so she can kick start her revenge bod without the Ben and Jerry's 15! Ingrained texted me because they ran out of one of the s'mores bar I purchased and I ended up sharing the reason for my order... they wrote this sweet note and threw in a nice extra breakup treat. I truly can't recommend this place enough. I CANT WAIT to try it myself. But until then I will live through their Instagram stories and recommend it to everyone I know. I'm just putting in a review so that other vegans don't make the same mistake. Check the label and make sure what you are purchasing doesn't have honey in it. This company marks their products as vegan but they use honey in some of their products. When you try to contact them they claim that honey is healthy and "most vegans consider it vegan". Then they will block you for contacting them. Veganism isn't about health, it's about ethics. They should not be marking foods as vegan when they contain bee honey. read more

Really appreciate that it's vegan and gluten free. The pumpkin cookie dough cake with vanilla swerve was very good. The chocolate chip cookies tasted very good too as long as you're ok with the texture being a little different and with the cookies kind of falling apart. I'd skip the s'mores butter cup, didn't taste very good and expensive for the quantity you get compared to the cake and cookies. They list all the ingredients for the desserts which is really awesome and it's a minimal amount of ingredients too and all natural mostly. read more
