Had a super bad experience with the "grooming manager" this morning. First, she looked like she hated her job from the minute she walked out the door to greet us. Frown and all. My dog got excited and tried to jump to greet her and this person was not happy and proceeded to tighten my dog's leash to subdue him. I should have left right then and there. I gave her a chance even though I was skeptical after seeing her demeanor and reaction to my dog's excitement. Two hours later she calls me and tells me my dog (mentioned his name) is ready and I can pick him up. I show up a few minutes later and after being kept on hold forever, I am told that my dog isn't ready yet. I asked what do they mean? I was called and told he was, hence I am there to pick him up. Another 10 minutes on hold and the receptionist tells me that "Dana says she never called me." Whoa! I have the call registered on my phone at 10:40. I mention this to the person on the phone. More minutes on hold. She comes back and tells me that "Dana says that she's almost done with my dog." I ask "how much longer?" I need to decide whether I should stay or leave and come back later. Another hold. No one seems to know what's going on with my dog. Turns out Dana was barely starting to wash him. Nowhere near being "almost done." I asked why am I being told lies. First saying she never called me, then telling me she's almost done. Dana proceeds to tell me that "ok, she's not perfect, she messed up, called the wrong person and that it is going to take a minute to get done with the grooming." By this point I am done and I don't want this person touching my dog. I understand mistakes happen and no one is perfect but the fact that she blatantly lied and said she never called me, and then continued to lie saying she's almost done when in fact she hadn't even started, and to add insult to injury, the receptionist going along with the fiasco. The decent thing would have been to come outside, tell me she made a mistake by calling, and allow me to decide whether to stay or come back. Instead she chose to lie. I took my dog, and it was obvious that nothing had been done. His coat was matted. Her attitude from the beginning was on point. She should seriously consider changing jobs. Obviously she is not a dog person. read more
