My appointment with Biz was amazing. I loved all the little details to relaxation. Best shampoo I have ever received. Was so relaxing almost fell asleep at the shampoo bowl. Which for curly hair girlies getting your hair washed usually means knots and tangles and fingers stuck in all your hair. There was none of this. And they give a nice little scalp massage. Then when you return to your seat they give you a neck and shoulder massage with essentials to fit your mood. All complimentary! Biz, herself, was easy to communicate my desired look with and she understood it to a "T" and delivered great results. I absolutely loved my transformation. Going from long hair to short hair can be scary and Biz made sure we were both on the same page for expectations. I also loved how she didn't push product or add ons. She gladly told me what products she used when I asked (because my hair looked the most fabulous it ever has, no frizz) but never gave me a sales pitch or pressure to buy or spend money I wasn't wanting to. In the end I got a fabulous new look and exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning to Biz at Industry for more hair needs. read more

So, I tried to highlight my own hair and it definitely did not go as planned. I came to see Sophia to see what we could do to fix my hair. As soon as she saw me all I felt was judgement even though I tried my best to keep the conversation lighthearted about my hair situation. She then took a test strand of my hair but rushed me out the door and wouldn't let me stay for the results. Even the front desk receptionist was confused when Sophia said she was sending me out and just going to text me. I was charged 30 dollars for the consult which I was fine with until Sophia wanted to charge me 400$ for full foils and refused to help me find a solution within my 250$ budget. (mind you I noted that I was okay with any solution as long as it fit in my budget and made my hair look better than it did). Definitely don't recommend. read more

They did an amazing just with my hair coloring and it was an amazing place that I just couldn't believe that I had received the best service that I had ever gotten for a hair coloring and a cut! The stylist made me feel like a million dollars. I've never been in such an eclectic place before and I can't wait to go back. read more

I went here recently and got a haircut with Sarah. It was an amazing experience! She did a great job of explaining how she styled my cut, and discussing my vision and doing what she needed to make sure it met my reference pics whilst also being flattering for my features. read more

I cannot believe how awesome and amazing this place is. Emma goes above and beyond. My first time there and she made me feel as if I was family. I literally just went in for a trim and left feeling as if I was part of a family. The whole entire staff is friendly, polite and friendly. I will definitely continue to go here. Thank you Emma! You have definitely provided an outstanding lasting impression. read more

I really loved going to Industry and want to support the individual stylists, but had two interactions with management/policy that were so unpleasant and made me feel so unwelcome. I am a physician and mother of 3, so getting personal care is challenging, at best. Over Thanksgiving weekend (on a deserted day at the salon), I had a cancellation of my childcare and, rather than incur the fee for same-day cancellation, I brought my children, who happily watched a screen in the waiting area. I sought approval for this prior to coming in and it was given because there were only two stylists working that day. The management sent me an anonymous email three days later that was both targeted, hostile, and unnecessary about policy violation. I honestly could not believe they went out of their way to make a loyal patron feel so unwelcome and should have not returned at that point. Today, I had to reschedule my appointment to provide emergency surgical care for a patient. I wanted to reschedule for the following day, but they charged 50% service fee. I have gotten my hair done at different salons in LA, San Francisco, New Orleans, NYC, over many years and had never felt so uncared for. I will not support a business so unfriendly to mothers/working professionals. Penny wise and pound foolish is never a good look. read more

If you need a haircut, this place is fine for that. The ambience is nice and they offer tea and water with your service. If you need a color and have dark hair do not go to Carmen. The dye will come out uneven and it will not be what you wanted. I initially came hoping for a pastel purple color with virgin black hair. We had a consultation and she said it was possible in one session. After the first session it was red, blond and one strand of purple. I had to come back for a customer service appt which was another 5 hours and she still couldn't get to the pastel. Instead of admitting that she could not do what she was promising she could do she kept pressing forward. She admitted that she watched a video on light colors and had to ask the stylist next to her how light she should approach my hair because she had more experience with Indian hair. Indian hair is not textured different than blond or brunette hair it's just a darker color. She should not list vivid or fashion colors in her bio if she can't obtain it. The second session resulted in purple, but a top layer of brown all over again. I trusted someone with my hair to dye it for the first time. I'm disappointed that they did not know the limit of their skills to do what I asked for. It is a whole different discussion if they said this is going to take multiple sessions or we can't get you to pastel. I'm glad I didn't dye all of it because at least I can grow it out and cut it off. I haven't been to other stylists and other customers seemed to like their colors but be wary if they can handle dying dark hair unless you are aiming for an uneven brown. read more

I started going to Industry simply because it was up the street. But now I couldn't imagine leaving. I have seen a few stylists and they are all amazing. They do amazing work on blondes (which can be hard) and they are so easy to work with. They are always listening to me and trying to get exactly what I want! I'm usually not a huge Aveda product fan, but I'm willing to overlook that for the talent at industry. Highly suggest seeing Brooke or Khloe! read more

My experience was tremendous and couldn't recommend this place more! Very clean and welcoming environment. You won't regret coming here!

I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't ever really someone that cared too much about my hair, so going anywhere but a Great Clips was definitely a new thing for me... but OH MY GOSH I can't stop coming back to Industry. I've been seeing Jessica every few months for a year now and words cannot describe how great I feel about myself when I leave her chair. She is the absolute sweetest and is so much fun, but above all she truly listens to what you want and makes you not only look great, but feel great. I'm definitely someone who prefers more "edgy" styles and cuts, and a lot of other stylists at other salons don't really get that, and I end up with a less than satisfying result- Jessica totally understands it though and brings your visualization to reality. The salon overall is so amazing and the atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing- I brought a friend for emotional support for a big chop and now she's wanting to book an appointment! You're always greeted with a smile and offered something to drink, and the products smell amazing and fill the entire salon- my favorite part. The prices are MORE than fair and honestly I'm surprised they don't charge more. I just got my hair cut today by Jessica and it was such a huge chop for me, so I was definitely a little anxious, but as always she listened to what I wanted and gave me tips on how to take care of it at home. Coming to see her has definitely changed my view of my hair, and I trust no one else to touch it now! read more

I love Industry. All of the staff is so wonderful and kind and I feel like I am giving my hair the best treatment possible by coming here. Short story: Don't go here for a spa experience- the staff is unprofessional and try to bully you into tipping. The worse experience ever!!! I arrived on time for my first appointment. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. No explanation, no apology. No one seemed to care at all. I left. Very unprofessional. read more

Don't go here unless you want to be cheated out of your money. My sister stopped by with my nephew and asked them how much a haircut would be. They told her $28.00. One week later my nephew showed up for his haircut ad was charged $45.00. I called to question this and was first told that their prices had been increased during the intervening week. I was then told that my nephew was charged $45.00 because his hair was longer. Funny that is not the price they quoted him when he stopped in a week earlier with my sister. If you are not going to honor your word, you should not be in business. read more

This place is amazing! The customer service is outstanding, everyone is so genuine. Sam, works the front desk she is so sweet and accomodating. Wonderful salon in Cincinnati!! I've been looking for a men's hair salon since last October I came to Cincinnati. Industry salon was luckily found at yelp with nice reviews, so I booked an online reservation for a hair cut by Jordan to see if it's worth trying there (we can choose date/time and a hair stylist online, which I like). As seen in the picture, their interior is very nice (many green plants relax and calm me a lot). Also, of course, the hair cut by Jordan was perfect. The price for haircuts is reasonable. The price range is between $25 and $40. Yea here is worth visiting and now became my hair salon in Cincinnati! read more

Industry Salon - Lovely and cozy spaces with lots of green plants - Waxing Near Me - Newport, Kentucky

My kinda salon. Open, spacious, earthy and lots of plants. And coffee or tea to sip on while you wait. I decided to make a switch in stylist and asked to schedule an appointment with someone "who is good at cutting layers, texture and shattering ends." They set me up with Jordan. Jordan = color specialist, lead stylist and mentor. Yeah, I can dig it. After sitting in her chair for 5 minutes and explaining my dilemma and desired doo, she gave me the hook up. Complete with a hot towel during the visit to the shampoo bowl and a nice little shoulder massage. I left a good amount of hair weight behind and now have a hair cut as sassy as I am. Perfect! Jordan knows her stuff. She's f-ing phenomenal. The front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. All around great customer service experience. read more

Industry definitely deserves 5+ stars! I walked in, and was greeted ever so kindly. This hair cut was semi spontaneous, so when I asked if they had anything available that day with an apprentice they were more than willing to help and get me scheduled! Even though I was late to my appointment (blame it on the traffic...) Natalie was still super sweet and a great hair dresser! She trimmed me up and gave me an undercut, and I LOVE it! It's so nice having professional people and a beautiful salon to go and relax while they take care of you. Coffee, tea, water, they are more than willing to grab one for you. I think one of my favorite aspects is the quality of their product. They have Aveda products, which are plant based shampoos/conditioners/dyes, and it's definitely quality! I think I've found my go-to salon... read more

I was nervous to try this salon, but so glad I did! Carmen is so talented ! I showed her a picture of the cut I I wanted & she made it happen. Love it! I will booking again with her soon for color & am sure that will turn out just as great! read more

I went to this salon about 5 weeks ago for a root touch up. I have black hair and left with brown roots. New stylist, first time so I decided to give her another try. Tonight I went back to get a full color and bang trim. They booked me a root touch up and a full cut. That was the first problem. Then she left my bangs in such bad shape I will be wearing a headband for weeks... She offered to give me a number to call....I don't have time to call but that is the ONLY way I would be compensated, best she could do is not charge for the bangs she said... So now I have bad bangs and roots that still don't match with a salon asking for more of my time when I already wasted an evening on bad hair and an inaccurate booking from the start. I will not be returning to this salon. The review is a 2 vs 1 because my Kids cuts and color turned out nice! read more

my husband & i are r.v.'ing it across the country and i was in desperate need of having my grays covered! choosing a salon on the go is always a crap shoot! sometimes you win, sometimes you lose! this time i won big! i lucked out on getting biz (elizabeth).. not only is she super sweet & friendly but she nailed matching my color! not all stylists are great with color but she was!! THEN she gave me THE BEST cut of my life!! shoulder length choppy! absolutely adorable! i was ecstatic when i left there.. still am actually! my only sadness is that she can't be my regular stylist since we don't live in kentucky!! cute aveda salon too! read more

I went in to get a trip, I told the woman not to cut to short, my hair is naturally curly and will shrink up! So I said a half inch, she cut it dry, not wet and chopped it off! I mean when someone tells you exactly what to do, then to be ignored completely!! read more

I had the best hair color experience at Industry! I needed to get some highlights & a cut (my balayage was growing out, it looked dull and brassy, plus I hadn't had a cut in months). I talked with my stylist about my dream color/tone and what I would need to do to get there. The stylist went above and beyond, and my hair came out absolutely gorgeous. I'm seriously thrilled with my color. I am getting non-stop compliments, and it's exactly what I hoped for. Honestly, I have paid much more for coloring services at other Cincy area salons, and was way less satisfied. The price point is worth it at Industry. Not to mention the vibe is very cool and the decor is super relaxing - I felt like I had a luxury experience. I will definitely be back again, soon! read more

Better late than never! While I had been to Industry before for a consultation and to buy products, I had my first cut there this past September. What an amazing experience! I went here really nervous about getting my hair cut. I've always been one that has had long hair and freaked out about just getting a trim. Thus, she did amazing I left feeling super confident after cutting serval inches off my hair. Which I haven't done that since I could remember. She was amazing and did a good job at matching my hair with the photos I had showed her which was awesome. I would highly recommend this place especially if you are one nervous about trying something new!!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Went and saw KB today and she turned my beautiful blonde hair GREY. Going to be extremely expensive and timely to fix. Avoid this salon at all costs. Please. read more

Went to see Brooke and when I got home I had a ton of build up in my hair. I assume it wasn't washed properly and shampoo wasn't rinsed or she used too much product. I had to wash my hair twice before it all came out. I had no styling such as straightening like the girl before me did so I looked like I had just woken up. I had to wait until the next day to style my hair and see if I really liked it. It was okay, but I didn't have time to go back to the salon because I moved out of state the next day. Cute little place on the corner, super friendly, just disappointed that I left with my hair dirty and unfinished. read more

I am so glad I went to the salon. Even more thankful to the yelp reviews and photos that pushed me to g here. I went here for a haircut and boy did I like the ambience and service. It's amazing from the reception to the time you checkout. My hair was done by Meagan. She came across as very knowledgeable on my hair texture which I loved because I feel not lot of hairstylists get that. She listened to all my requests. And I am happier with what she did to my hair than the first time I got my short haircut. They also give free cleanup to clients with shorter hair like mine when you just need a little 15 min trim. Very impressed, definitely going back. Highly recommend for traditional or edgier haircuts. read more

***HOT BIZ ALERT**** There is nothing I love more than coming to this salon. From the staff [all so cute] to decor [earthy and airy at the same time?!] to ambiance [this place at Xmas is a dream!]- this place is amazing. Topher [who works front desk] is a stand up guy who always has a smile on his face. He is one of those people you just want to be around! Those are the type of people you want in your store every day. I always look forward to saying hi to him. My stylist, Jordan, is not only a kick ass colorist but she is a true gem of a person. She always does an amazing job and truly enjoys what she does. My color is the best it's ever been. Her love for her job shows in her work [her clients duh!] Industry has the coziest feel. Twinkle lights, exposed brick, greenery, yummy smells, and great music. I legit want the owner Kate to design my house LOL I have referred several friends to Industry and they are all now repeat customers, even my husband! Every stylist is so down to earth and kind. I love when a business makes you feel like a rock star when you walk in the door and Industry does just that [cue music!] This place is a true blessing to Newport. I always feel welcomed and catered to when I am at Industry and continually look forward to my time there. read more

I could not be happier with this place!! The salon is so beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable. I really needed a change, and Biz did an AMAZING job on my hair cut. I absolutely love it! I would said from the moment you walk in you have an amazing experience but it actually begins before you walk through the door. The lantern lights and the wooden front door start the cool, welcoming decor that continues inside - I love the exposed bricks and wooden beams! That is just the beginning...you are then warmly greeted, offered coffee, tea or water and treated to an amazing scalp massage and hot towel treatment. Now let's talk about the hair cut. Jessica is my stylist and she is wonderful! She offers a neck massage which I ALWAYS accept and she takes her time to understand what cut/style I want. She also shows me how I can style on my own at home which I really appreciate. I highly recommend Industry Salon...and they are within walking distance of Carabello Coffee which is a bonus! read more

Here's the thing. I loved Industry. I never left with a bad hair cut or color and I always had a great experience. I'd been a customer for over two years and I missed an appointment in June due to a death in my family. I came in to industry today with hopes of getting a bit of a transformation. I originally was quoted $110 when I scheduled a partial highlight and cut for medium hair. When I came to the register, I was given a balance of $150... plus tip. I'm a little thrown off as my hair looks the same as when I arrived today. While The stylist and I discussed that this could be a process to get back to blonde... we also discussed several cuts. I think maybe an inch was taken off? I am beyond upset as I was looking for a forever salon after returning from a two year stint abroad. My husband isn't convinced I even went to the salon today. read more
