The bartender was extremely friendly and made some tasty drinks for my friend and me. I've always felt safe when I'm there and would recommend this bar to anyone (even if you're solo for the night). The food did not blow me away. The smash burger wasn't a true smash burger and it wasn't crispy on the edges and couldn't really taste the onions or cheese. It was stronger on the Dijon mustard taste which I assume is in their secret sauce. The kale Caesar salad was interesting too, not what I expected and the chicken didn't have that grilled taste that I was hoping for. The fries were excellent though and I'd highly recommend those! There are other things I'd like to try on the menu so I would give Camp west another shot.

I ended up ordering the Evenstar which had gin and elderflower in it (i love elderflower) and it was so refreshing and delicious! Our bartender was friendly and awesome and the bar is dog-friendly (check out all the polaroids of past doggo guests - it's the cutest!). As a Goblin I have eaten many old soups out of a dirty cauldron, but Mid-Gumbo tastes like how Jack Harlow must feel waking up and telling himself he got blacker.
