Vegetarian ceviche and custom avocado cucumber roll. Rather small compared to American sushi, but that's to be expected
    Olivia S.

Went here with some colleagues who absolutely loved their food. They had ceviche and sushi, and raved about it. As for me, your resident pain in the a** vegan, I had the vegetarian ceviche made of (very crunchy) beets, lime, and cilantro, and a plain avocado cucumber roll. The latter wasn't on the menu but they were super accommodating and made it anyway. I really appreciated that. This wasn't really my style of restaurant - I was just looking for regular vegetarian sushi - but that's more of a result of my personal preference rather than a reflection of the restaurant (hence still 4 stars). The food is pretty fancy and a little bit expensive, but if you check out the menu and like what you see, you'll definitely enjoy your time here.

23 piece sushi sampler with sashimi

Indio Kitchen was my favorite meal in Sweden. This should be a little disconcerting since the restaurant is Japanese / Peruvian fusion in Scandinavia, but it's also now on my "top sushi dinners of all time" list. I also had sushi 3 times while in Sweden for a week. So there's that. In any case, their sushi was incredible. We came in small appetites, but I wish we had room for more. Between two people, we split a seaweed salad with hijiki, a small set of sashimi, and their 23 piece mixed sushi set. The seaweed salad was really delicious, but their innovative sushi stole the show. The freshness of the fish was outstanding, but each sushi came paired with different flavor combinations and toppings that blended Peruvian and Japanese tastes perfectly. There was a mix of textures, from crispy to melt-in-your-mouth tender; every bite was a surprise and a delight. I can't remember 90% of what we tried, but some standouts included a lightly seared salmon, something with a light pesto, and a super fresh scallop. Don't get basic rolls or sashimi here - head straight for their innovative offerings. If I ever come back, I'm definitely trying their chef's tasting menu!

Half a sushi Nikkei Quince (15 pcs) + 2 extras, 243 SEK in total

Quite disappointed with the take out lunch we paid 243 SEK for (15 + 2 pcs of mixed sushi, vegetarian and salmon). Such a rip off - even though friendly staff compensated us with two cokes when we complained about it. The vegetarian rolls were small, and so were the avocado nigris. Thick pieces of salmon, but not very much rice. The sushi was good but not amazing and certainly not worth the price.

    Mid-dinner!

The miso might be the best I e ever had, with its hint of lemon.

A sushi place located by the quay in the area of Sjöstaden in Stockholm…read more Very popular with the residents in the area and quite busy around dinner time 17:00-19:00. They have a great selection of sushi dishes on their menu and also a wide selection of side dishes and hot dishes. The fish and seafood ingredients feels very fresh both visually and in taste. The sushi pieces are presented in a beautiful way on the plate and the taste of the ingredients usually deliver. But lately the sushi have been varying in quality, depending of what staff that is working. I think this comes down to the fact that the restaurant have new owners that need to tighten their ship... Hopefully they will adress this problem quickly so that the restaurant once more becomes the place that serve the best sushi in Stockholm - always.

I do not speak Swedish fluently, but I understand enough to know when they are making fun of us. They wrote things on take away boxes, for 'Justin Timberlake' and 'The American with blonde hair'. That aside, the sushi is worth being the butt of a few jokes! Quality rolls with fresh ingredients. Pretty presentation and great quantity! Very, very busy in the evening! Order your food ahead of time for take away, or else you will be there a long time!
