A sushi place located by the quay in the area of Sjöstaden in Stockholm. Very popular with the residents in the area and quite busy around dinner time 17:00-19:00. They have a great selection of sushi dishes on their menu and also a wide selection of side dishes and hot dishes. The fish and seafood ingredients feels very fresh both visually and in taste. The sushi pieces are presented in a beautiful way on the plate and the taste of the ingredients usually deliver. But lately the sushi have been varying in quality, depending of what staff that is working. I think this comes down to the fact that the restaurant have new owners that need to tighten their ship... The four stars is for the sushi, not the staff. I have heard of them making fun of English speaking customers, and personally experiences this. I do not speak Swedish fluently, but I understand enough to know when they are making fun of us. They wrote things on take away boxes, for 'Justin Timberlake' and 'The American with blonde hair'. That aside, the sushi is worth being the butt of a few jokes! Quality rolls with fresh ingredients. Pretty presentation and great quantity! Very, very busy in the evening! This is my favorite sushi spot in Stockholm. It's really fantastic. The spicy tuna roll actually fills me up along with the miso and the tea which are included. I think it's around 100-120kr for a roll and it's absolutely worth it. The only drag is that this place is SO far off the beaten path for most of us, especially without a car. Like other reviewers have said the sushi is good but the staff are very rude. They really don't make you feel welcome at all. I don't think I've ever seen any of them smile..what sucks so bad there guys? I seriously only come back for the sushi which is good for 'western sushi', it's not an authentic Japanese experience but that isn't what I'm looking for so with that being said...the best option would probably be to order a 10 piece sushi and get it to-go! read more

This is not close to authentic Japanese cuisine, but was reasonably tasty. The miso soup was miserable and the yakiniku was way too salty. The gyoza is deep fried and the sauce put with it is also not Japanese. Maybe this is standard Swedish-Japanese food, but it is NOT authentic Japanese. read more

Tezukuru is amazing for the price. This place has also other delicious japanese food. The sushi is made with care and is presented very nicely- it is some of the best sushi in Stockholm- made with original japanese methodology with small rice clumps like you are supposed to and lots of fish. One should also try a starter like tempura which is made very very well- the best tempura I have tried for this price. The dumplings are also amazing. Even their yakiniku beef is really good. Waited over two hours without food before finally leaving. Never had to do that anywhere before. After asking where our food was, the owner said "this is not McDonald's". Incredibly rude. I feel sorry for the staff. I don't doubt the food is good. The owner accepts too many takeout orders on top of all the customers dining in. read more

Possibly some of the best Japanese food that we've ever experienced. Nothing about our food was second class- except maybe the free hot green tea. Outstanding food and atmosphere. I had yakitori grilled chicken with rice and it was scrumptious. Our starter was gyoza with an irresistible sauce. My dining partners had udon soup with tempura on the side. The other man in our party ate every bite of his tempura dish along with an order of California sushi. We also had free miso soup before our meal. A few drops of upon soup was the only thing left on our table. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was also just fine. I recommend Tezukuri sushi restaurant. read more

Still the best - location food and service - save there are a couple of wait staff who should look for another jobber- but apart from that the food rocks - servings are very generous and the location is awesome- locals love this Resturant so book if around peak time and make sure if you are getting takeaway you order well ahead of time. My favourite sushi-place in Stockholm. I'm no expert in what is real, authentic, japanese sushi since I've never been to Japan, but comparing it to the other sushi-places I've visited this one definitely makes it to top-five on my list! Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Even the take-away packaging feels fresh and it looks tasty when you open it up at home. The Miso has varied in quality from time to time but the sushi is so delicious that it doesn't really bother me. A place I keep coming back to for more! read more

I have been here quite a few times as my cousins are obsessed with this place. I don't know if I am being too harsh with my rating or not but my rating is strictly based on the sushi. The inside decor is pretty nice, a little on the modern side. I feel like they should definitely get bigger tables. Every time I go, we have about six people to a table and we always feel crammed. Miso soup is always complementary which you get up and get yourself as well as the water. Presentation of the sushi was nice. The selection was not too overwhelming. I do wish they would have had more options for actual sushi rolls. They didn't have a lot of roll options that contained uncooked fish. The majority either were cooked or did not contain fish what so ever. Now I'm giving this place a solid two stars because their sushi tastes fresh each and every time I have been there. I would have rated this place a total of four stars but I just couldn't. The thing that irks me the most about this place is how big the roll pieces are as well as the taste of the rice. The size of each roll piece is huge and it's pretty much unladylike to stuff a huge piece of sushi roll into your mouth. Now the rice was pretty under seasoned. When it comes to good sushi, your fish needs to be fresh and the rice needs to be well seasoned. That's why I gave it two stars. I do recommend trying this place out because honestly it's not too bad. Maybe I'm just used to the sushi in the US and maybe it's a Swedish way to make Sushi. I would probably return but remind you, if you're from the US, it won't be your average sushi restaurant. read more

Be careful of this place if you are planning to eat here and actually want to be served. The owner plays favorites and serves some customers before others regardless of how long they have been seated. I can't comment on the quality of the food because I had to leave after two hours and had only received some seaweed salad. To their credit they did not charge us but our last evening in the city ended on a very bad note. read more
