Great Japanese food that you really encounter in Stockholm otherwise, unique. Many options + vegan friendly. Nice variety of drinks. Affordable! Minus for small place and small portions.

Great service! Cozy atmosphere and tasty food. A perfect pit stop while shopping all day. Try the okonomiyaki patty stuffed with pork and mushroom if available.

The place is cute, and the menu is simple but good; if only the food were good! I've lived in Japan for six years and this is NOT what okonomiyaki is supposed to taste like - it was so dry and bland, I can only guess that they're making them weeks or even months beforehand and freezing them; it's just sad that they have the good fortune to have their own little restaurant in Stockholm, but they don't even take pride in what they're making.

Very delicious and authentic food. A little heavy but a great value for the price. And the lunch special is a really good deal. Visited this place twice during our short trip. Good service too.

Unfortunately I can't give a better review on this for numerous reasons & I still keep that in mind that this is supposed to be a street food kind of place so not higher expectations than a food truck almost! The okonomiyaki was good but nothing exciting & far from extraordinary or exotic! It was basically a thicker hash brown with extra filling. Usually when I hear Japanese food, I expect some taste far from what I know but they even served edamame right out of the bag ( just like it says on the menu boiled & salted). The salad & fries (side dish) were also very boring & simple! The place is very small & the kitchen & cashier & tables & everything is so compact that they didn't even have space for a restroom! The restaurant can also get very smelly from the kitchen & I didn't particularly enjoyed it. The service wasn't the best either, first of all the girl in cashier forgot to ask what topping we wanted, then they said their terminal is out of order & they only accept cash. They also failed to clear the tables & make sure there is chopstick & tissue available.

This is Stockholms first, and so far the only, place to get Okonimiyaki, which is a Japanese, thick, pancake.

This hip ramen restaurant was a welcome meal on a cold Stockholm day! Coming from the SF Bay Area,…read morewe get a fair amount of quality fresh ramen. Our relatives recommended this spot during our holiday visit, and the ramen here hit the mark. I had the Red Hot ramen, which was rich and flavorful, with layers of flavor, tender and meaty pork belly, and a perfectly jammy shoyu marinated egg. Lots of flavor, and not too hot for my spice-loving palate. They use thin straight style ramen noodles here, which tasted fresh and had perfect spring. Our local relatives opted for their favorite, the Stockholm Shoyu - which also looked excellent. This spot is small and cozy, and they were able to seat us quickly even though they seemed quite popular for lunch.

I highly recommend not ordering the spicy miso because it was expensive and inedible. Instead of chashu, there was ground meat. I only ate a few bites and the reason why I took more than one bite was because I was curious and wanted to understand which part of the dish tasted bad. I figure out that the flavor was coming from the noodles. The spice came from a numbing pepper that I did not like. Spicy miso is usually my go-to when I order ramen but the flavor was not what I was expecting. When I normally order spicy miso, the broth is like tonkatsu with a spicy miso paste. At Ai Ramen, they serve hardly any broth and the broth they do serve does not taste good.
