This is my favorite restaurant in town, I've been here a few times. The filet is always delicious. I think it's definitely the best in the area. The steamed clams are good. The salad was good. The service is great. Everyone is very nice and attentive. The outside is magical, and the inside is cozy and cute. Would obviously recommend and will be back very soon! read more

A lot matters when you eat out. The food, the ambience, the value, the service. And the restaurant business is tough in any economy, so I'm reluctantly giving this review. I like to try a food establishment a couple of times before crossing it off my list, so maybe I'll try a lunch sometime, if they open for lunch. Food is most important and we were disappointed. The quality of the ingredients were superior but the "sauces" were bland, absolutely no flavor. I chose the entree; duck with a blackberry sauce, the color was right but the taste didn't have any flavor. My husband chose the scallops with a lime sauce. The scallops were salty and the sauce? Again no taste. Both of our entrees were plated with a rice dish & vegetables (broccoli). The broccoli was the best thing on the plate. Our waitress, while Sweet was oppressively cheery and said "Cheers" a half dozen times at least. We wondered if we were being infantilized because we're seniors. A very disappointing evening. It's a beautiful little place, with perfect lighting and pleasing music. Hopefully the owners can check in with the cooks & servers. read more

Dined here for the first time the other night and was impressed with how pretty the place was and how friendly the staff was. I had the crab appetizer and my friend had the lobster bisque. I liked mine and she did not like hers because it tasted more like tomato soup. However, the fish and chips dish we split was fantastic! So was the Albarino wine we had with dinner. Our server Dakota was informative about the dishes and attentive. The creme brûlée's with vanilla ice cream was a perfect ending to our meal. I look forward to going there again when I make it back to Cambria. read more

This was a return visit for us and the food, service and ambience was outstanding as usual. Definitely a must try if you were in the area.

Indigo Moon is cute inside and is much bigger inside than it appears. Our server was helpful, and the bread and butter were good. I had the fish special, which was a large portion, but the sauce wasn't great. read more

This is one of our go-tos in Cambria. There's a wide variety of options on the menu: salmon tacos, great burger, fish n chips, good pastas, plus seafood, steaks (flat iron is killer!), lamb, even duck. Good salad and app options too. Pleasant servers, reasonable prices, beer and wine (no bar.) once in a while, things come out of the kitchen a little spicier than you might expect, so worth asking about. My main criticism is that it takes a long time for the food to come out. This seems to be really common in the post,-pandemic, world still, unfortunately. Just be prepared for that. read more

We had an amazing meal here. We were able to bring our dogs and sat in the garden, which was absolutely charming. Such a lovely ambiance. The service was impeccable. Bella was helping us and she was super sweet with a great energy. The food was to die for; have to say the mashed potatoes were amazing and so smooth. We would've loved to have had dessert, but we were so full. Gives us a great excuse to come back to this little gem. read more

Divine experience. From service to food! I had a soup and salad, my only complaint was I wish the soup was a bigger serving!!! Scrumptious!! The service was all star, and I felt like was totally taken care of...definitely coming back! read more

This was my second visit to Indigo Moon. The food was delicious and the portions were great. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The service was spot on. We celebrated our Anniversary here. Service and food is excellent. Great ambiance too. My husband and I are not heavy eaters so we requested that we will split meals. I am also thankful that they accommodated us. We would definitely go back and recommend this place. read more

Surprisingly uneven. The seafood entrees, salmon and scallops, were good but the pasta was disappointing- especially the fettuccine (shrimp with tails left on and broth-thin sauce). For dessert, the chocolate tower was excellent but the apple and cherry crisp was terrible- dry and overcooked. Our server was friendly, but when asked about raisins in the bread pudding because of a food allergy came back with the wrong answer. (It has raisins.) read more

The food here is fantastic. We came for dinner with our two young kids. Everything that came to our table was delicious, we were so impressed (minus one exception noted below). Kid dishes are huge! Great mac n cheese, and grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli were excellent. My son even said, "this is the best broccoli Ive ever had!" I ordered the pecan crusted halibut with a lemon cream sauce and wild rice - I haven't had something that tasty in a very long time. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The only ding to our experience was the fettuccine with shrimp. The white wine in the sauce was not cooked off and extremely strong. My husband has been sober for nine years and it actually made us a bit nervous. But the shrimp and pasta were cooked well. We mentioned the alcohol flavor to our server who shared that many customers make the same comment and she has expressed this to the chef. I hope in the near future, a simple adjustment can be made so this dish is just as superb as the rest of the food coming out of the kitchen. Would have given 5 stars if this dish was a bit better. Overall, highly recommend!! And our server (didn't get her name but she wears a knotted bandana) was so lovely :) read more

4.5 stars. Beautiful atmosphere and great staff. We had dinner in the garden. Although it was cold outside, they had several heaters which dispelled the cold. It was a lovely setting. We ordered fish and chips, rack of lamb, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato fries and a burger. The macaroni and cheese was delicious. We ordered the kids version, but we were delighted with a full-size portion, fresh noodles, and a real cheese sauce. The waitress told us the only different between the adult version is the type of cheese - I think the adult has a creamy manchego cheese sauce and the kids has a creamy Parmesan sauce. I think of these cheeses as dry, but they've created delicious, creamy sauces. The burger was so good too. It came with white cheese, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. It was well-crafted so that the flavors complimented each other. My husband loved the rack of lamb - a rare occasion!! I can't believe it passed with his raving review! The sweet potato fries were amazing. The kids even loved the fish and chips! The fish was haddock rather than the standard cod. Sadly, I was not a fan of their desserts. Come here when you want to slow down and enjoy a good meal with family and friends. read more

Cambria has many fine places to eat. This is my favorite. Indigo Moon is on Cambria Village's main street. It is in a comfortable small building with quiet, separated dining areas inside and a nice interior courtyard for summer dining. Service is quick, friendly and efficient . The menu has a variety of items, with a focus on locally sourced and sustainable items. My wife had the Squash and Quinoa special bowl. $18. She loved it. I had the grilled flank steak with fire roasted fingerling potatoes. $28. Delicious! The wine selection was mostly local and reasonably priced. I will definitely plan my next trip to Cambria around a meal at Indigo Moon! read more

I had the best meal I have ever had on New Years Eve night. Service was great. Food was unbelievable. I can't wait to go back the next time we are in town. I enjoyed the rack of lamb and my husband had the filet. We couldn't stop eating. Do not miss out on this gem. read more

The most cutest and delicious food in town! The service is amazing, the food is delicious! We sat outside in the patio, super sweet and quaint. My favorite part of our meal was the dessert... the chocolate tower was DELICIOUS!!! My fettuccine dish was not good, the broth was full of wine and not reduced , the waitress was sweet enough to take it back, she offered me a new dish but I kindly passed. I was looking forward to the chocolate tower dessert! This place is still amazing even with the tiny hiccup. read more

Food, service, ambiance !!! We had an amazing dinner there for our 38th anniversary. Isabella was a delight serving us our amazing dinners! We definitely will come back next time we visit Cambria. Best meal we had. A must if you come to Cambria read more

Indigo Moon was recommended to us by many of our friends who frequent Cambria. It was pitched as an intimate restaurant with tasty food and immaculate customer service. While we didn't necessarily get all of that, we were still kinda (3 stars worth) satisfied with our meal and our experience. The issues we did have were mostly rectified. We ordered the cheese plate, which was a great start...the cheese choices were excellent and we quite enjoyed the variety. Next, I had the very much talked about and recommended lobster bisque...I cannot put into words my disappointment. The bisque was heavy and tomato-y, not creamy and sweet...it was filled with meatballs and mushrooms. Meatballs and mushrooms...in lobster bisque? There was no lobster that I could detect (and no, Mr. Chef, those were NOT lobster meatballs, they tasted like spaghettio meatballs). AND WHO PUTS MUSHROOMS IN SEAFOOD??? The waitress took the soup off the bill. When we asked the super nice server to inquire about the soup, we were told that the meatballs were lobster and that's how they make bisque. As a native New Englander/Northeaster, I can tell you that that is NOT how you make lobster bisque. Meatballs and mushrooms...SMH. My wife had the pear salad and found it to be delicious. We split the ribeye, asked for medium and got medium well...on a very gristly cut of meat. The meat we got was very good. The mash was good and helped fill the hole of losing half the meat to gristle. Dessert was killer good...chocolate orange pot de creme...I could have eaten 3 of those. We'd go back, out of respect for the people who recommended it...we'd just try something different. PS - that night, I called the restaurant to speak to a manager and was told there was none there...I asked for the owner and was told they were not there and to call back during the day. I chose not to... read more

After taking our tour at the Hearst Castle, we headed back to the small town Cambria to have lunch at the Indigo Moon. We made reservations prior to coming, so once we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. The following was ordered. Trio of Artisan Cheeses: All three cheeses were delicious. (NOTE: Indigo has an artisan cheese shop next door to the restaurant) Tomato Basil Soup: Delicious and fresh tasting tomato basil. Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad: Very good salad. Those huge fresh shrimps were perfectly grilled. Angus Burger w/ Sauteed Mushrooms and White Cheddar: Excellent juicy burger. The patty was cooked perfectly to my requested ( medium rare ). The staff were pleasant and friendly. Good service all around. Overall a good place to stop in for lunch if you're driving up the coast or just looking for a place to eat. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Cambria. The menu is varied with amazing sounding meals. Everything I have ordered has been excellent, but my favorite is the risotto with wild mushrooms and butternut squash. The staff on each of my many trips has been helpful, attentive and kind. Phenomenal. They accommodated our larger party with no issues. The food and service were excellent. There were also portable heaters for what seemed like an enclosed patio we were seated in. Ambiance is great, wine selection is great, our tart appetizer was great, but the pasta was really disappointing. We got the fettuccine and penne. Both were really off in their pasta to veggie/meat ratios. The penne had a good amount of chicken apple sausage, but very little spinach, a ton of penne, and a ton of sauce. The fettuccine again tons of pasta, decent amount of shrimp, but nothing else. Dialing the quantity back to maximize quality would do wonders for both of these dishes. That said I'm sure there are some pasta lovers who would like the large quantity! We would still eat here again, but would avoid the pastas. Until next time! read more

One of the best restaurants in Cambria. Amazing food, friendly and good service and a good value as well. We eat here every time we come to Cambria. Tonight I had the calamari steak and it was almost a pound of fish and very tasty! Others had the salmon, fish and chips and sweet potato fries: all were excellent. Their burger is also excellent and we like the chimichuri steak. Dakota is our favorite waitress. We will be back! read more

Unfortunate to see the level of rudeness at this restaurant. My finance and I had reservations to this place and showed up to be told not table was available and had to wait until they call us via text or wait at the lobby. The uncomfortable experience of the looks we got made us step out. We were never got called back and after 40 minutes we went back just to cancel. They seemed to not care. Will definitely not return and will warn folks about this service. Thank you but no thank you Indigo moon. read more

Located right in town; great service, quiet casual feel, and decent food! We'd seen this spot and was also recommended by a local, so gave it a try. Started with sesame Ahi; a seared dish with delicious purees to accompany. Their lobster bisque was also very good! As for entrees, the Pork osso buco had okay flavor, but the mashed together presentation in a bowl really turned to dish into a single-noted stew which didn't quite withstand more than a few bites. We also tried the calamari piccata which was surprisingly satisfying and unique. Star of the night, for me, was the creme brule. Perfect temp, crisp and taste! read more

The food was good not outstanding. The ambiance so so. We booth had a beef dish and we would not order that again even though it was OK.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Indigo Moon. We sat in their beautiful and spacious patio that had plenty of space heaters to keep us comfortable on a cold cloudy evening. I wife had the scallops and I had the duck breast and both were excellent! The menu had a good variety of offerings. We finished with a hot apple and cherry crumble topped with a scoop ice cream that was perfect on a cold evening. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!. read more

Food was decent. I would say the calamari steak was great and the highlight of our night. We also got the crab cakes, steamed clams and the fettuccini. Crab cakes were good also. We also had the shrimp fettuccini but did not like it at all. The sauce was a tomato base with white whine. The sauce was somewhat bitter and sour from the lemons. I believe the wine wasn't fully cooked through as you can still taste the alcohol and bitterness. I let the staff know that our fettuccini wasn't good and they acknowledged it; no follow up or anything from them. Ambience was nice though. We had the heaters on us which kept us nice and cozy. Service was good, they were pretty busy but did come by yo check on us. read more

We'd reserved a table in a quiet corner. It sure was that. And dark. I stood on a chair to redirect a spot light, and a crew member brought us a candle. Now we had us a date in this cute restaurant. Service was swift, portions were large. We ordered too much. Crab cakes very good. Sweet potato Fries aioli filling. Flank steak nicely done. Artic char superb. Sides tasty. Chocolate tower split. The Seal pinot noir really smooth. All well done after a murky beginning. read more

Walked in around 6:30 from the back to check out the restaurant .. host gave me a rude glare and told me that the restaurant was by reservation only and the next available is at 8:00pm. Found that to be a little strange when half the restaurant was empty. At the end of the day I was not satisfied with him or his stuffy ambience. Go to the Mexican restaurant down the street. Food is great and the ambience is not stuffy. read more
