I showed up here on a weekday for a solo lunch after having tried their Longmont location. The street parking was plentiful, and the bright exterior made it hard to miss! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was sat immediately and was the only person in the restaurant the entire time (it was 11am on a weekday, so understandable), so I chose a seat by the window to enjoy the view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Water was immediately brought to me along with the extensive menu, and I ordered three dishes, plus garlic and cheese naan, and was offered a complimentary chai. After a few pages of my book, the food starting rolling out. The Chicken Tikka Masala was so tender with the yogurt-marinated chicken having a little tang, the Chicken Saag was creamy with the perfect spice, and the Baingan Bharta was made perfectly, studded with fresh peas that burst in every bite. The garlic and cheese naan was a perfect compliment, with a beautiful glaze of ghee on every piece. I ordered medium, but would likely up my spice preference next time. This was a ton of food, as planned, so I packed up my mass amounts of leftover to take home to share with the rest of the family where it was consumed immediately. All of our food was delicious! We got the samosas for an app, and they were light and flaky. The garlic naan was superb. I had never had Chicken Korma, but the ingredients were intriguing so I ordered it and was so glad I did. It ended up being my favorite item of the night. I moved to Lyons 3 years ago and was highly disappointed in the food scene. I found myself driving crazy distances to get good Indian. Luckily this place is excellent. It's standard Indian restaurant food, no dosa or things like that but the flavors are full and well rounded and they do have good variety. They aren't afraid of spice like some places but you should order a level higher than what you want if you enjoy spice...they do offer a 5 out of 4 spice level that is like a true extra spicy. (Or maybe just spicy depending on what you're used to) Every dish I have tried here was excellent except for the mild butter chicken that my friend ordered once but she thought it was amazing so that may have just been me and my own bias against mild dishes. Three stars because the first time, I went the butter chicken was delicious and with nice chunks of white meat, a five star dish . The Dahl was ordinary , the chai lacking .
