Had the Chicken Biryani and garlic naan - Garlic Naan - Really great flavor. drier and flaky/crispier than I'm used to. Would eat again but not one of those "you have to get three orders" like at other places Biryani - Again good flavor but extra spicy (I'm definitely a high spice person - 5's at Thai, lots of Jalapeno, High end Vindaloo - but this was stomach churning spice as a default) - will humble myself and ask for less next time. Also was pretty dry but again, it was take-out so I'll give it another chance. During one of the coldest days so far this year, I met a friend at Tiffins in Longmont last Thursday for lunch. I had been here once before and really enjoyed it, so was eager to try it again. I had the Paneer Saag and my friend had Biryani and we shared some naan. It was as good as I remembered and my friend enjoyed his, also. for starters the decor inside is both upscale but not so upscale that it becomes flashy or it looks like one of those expensive and tasteless fusion places. service was AMAZING! even though it was packed (full of indian people great sign) the folks that run the place put their whole heart into everything they cook and it shows. we got the chicken momos, pakora, samosa chaat, garlic naan, dal makhani, butter chicken, and chicken korma. i HIGHLY recommend pretty much everything we got but i especially recommend the chicken korma, dal makhani, and butter chicken. rich flavor and spice. honestly i can not say enough good things about this place. truly THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN COLORADO! also highly recommend the cocktails we got one with ginger beer and cranberry but i am not certain of the name. can't wait to come back and taste their weekend specials!! read more

Tiffins is an absolute GEM in Longmont. We came in for dinner without a reservation and we're seated immediately. The restaurant was busy and there was an event in the outdoor area so the whole area was vining. The food was amazing - we thoroughly enjoyed our curries, naan and the momos. The curry was so good that my friends had it 2 days in a row and was ready for a third. Service is great - they have super solid communication, they're kind, attentive and even despite how busy they are - they continuously check in to let you know where your food is at, etc. They also have a full bar for those looking to have a drink with their meal. I can guarantee that the next time in the area, I will be going to Tiffins again. Highly recommended and the best restaurant in the area in my opinion :) read more

Tiffins! Ahhhh, SO good! I've been a few times now and it's been our consistent go-to for Indian food in the Longmont/Boulder area. You truly can't go wrong with any of the options (truly I mean that), but I do recommend a spicy butter chicken for your first time! I know, very "beginner" Indian food, but it's BOMB. I usually dine in for Indian food but This time I decided to do takeout and I was very much pleased with that. I ordered the chicken kebab with a side of vegetable samosa. Incredibly fresh and delicious ingredients. As I walked in to pick up the food, I also noticed the place was very clean. The lady who helped in handing me the order also was very nice. Found this yummy place on Yelp. The service was top notch, if I even so much as looked at them or around the room, they were back to my table. Lovely setting with pretty decor and a clean modern vibe. I had envy when I saw the food delivered to the next door table. Seems I need to go back and try that dish too! Clean, affordable, delicious! Plentiful table-service menu, we enjoyed the (huge!) masala dosa and lamb vindaloo, with a side of naan. For the lamb I ordered spicy level 4 (out of five) and it was just-right for me; a respectful KICK. Servers were attentive and cheer-FULL, and meal was delivered quickly even though it was busy. I stopped in here for dinner on a cold night. I bring this up because this is a small restaurant, and any time anyone opens the door, you get hit with a wave of cold air. It's not their fault, but something to be aware of if you dine in. The servers are very polite and food came out promptly. I had shrimp masala and garlic naan. The garlic naan was delicious and nicely spiced. The shrimp masala was tasty, but I ordered medium, and at other restaurants in town it would be mild. It had a nice flavor but not much heat, and everyone who ordered medium or spicy thought theirs could be hotter. Everyone liked the flavor of their food, and my friend highly recommended the goat curry. They did forget my chai, but when they realized they charged me, they gave it to me to go, and added some free gulab jamun as an apology. What a hidden jewel! From the moment you enter the lovely aroma of spices hit your nose and make your mouth water. Very nice selection of choices, from drinks, appetizers to entrees. They just opened up in Longmont but have an original location in Boulder. Let me tell you, my community did not disappoint. Food was flavorful, and spicy (if that's what you like). I just returned from a trip to India and was craving dosa. So I took the family to Tiffin's. The food here is fantastic and authentic. We had pani puri, dosa, biryani, paneer korma, naan, and an okra dish that I'd never had before. It was all magnificent. We were in a bit of a rush, but the service was so fast that we didn't even have to worry. The server took time to answer our questions and was very friendly. The restaurant is also beautiful inside, from the tiled floor to the ornate ceiling. This will be a regular date night spot for us, for sure. read more

Great Indian food, the dosa is very good and the Sam bar is quite nice. My wife had the okra subjugated and she really like it, very flavorful. Ordered carry out today, mutter paneer, vegetable korma, and naan. The korma and naan were delicious, but the paneer in the mutter paneer dish tasted scorched and was inedible. The sauce was great but the paneer is a big part of the dish. When I called to let them know, the staff hung up on me! I wasn't going to ask for a refund, I just thought they would want to know. I had high hopes as my friend highly recommended this place. But unfortunately, I had terrible service, almost no service. Really. We were not giving menus. We are not checked on near the end of our meal and had to get up to a request a box. My meal was a chef's special goat curry. It seemed extremely salty to me and contained lots of fat and bones. It's clean and well run by partner owner puja ..she adds her Punjabi flare to the menu , which would otherwise be your typical Nepalese interpretation of sub continent indian food, watered down for predominantly white westerners , who haven't a clue about masalas . I very much like her subzi and vegetarian options..since I'm ahimsa ..but their other non vegetarian options aren't to bad either.. They typically spice it up for us ..knowing full well we're not Coloradans who would otherwise be eating elk or bison burgers. We are from NYC, Manila and beyond. Well traveled epicurean who have been in India and SE Asia for the past 20 yrs .. We are used to very spiced food . The best part of this urban resto is the staff. Super friendly. And once you get to know them as we have ....having been here over 10x , it becomes more like family.. They know our taste and often share off menu items.. Tiffin is a play on the word Tiffing ,a British word meaning, snack or tea time ( a tiffin) I guarantee you'll be getting more than a snack at this Tiffin Did I mention their chai is also good...? Tiffin's Longmont is a wonderful new restaurant on the local Indian food scene! I went there with my son today; he ordered lamb korma and I had Bhindi sabji, which is okra sauteed with garlic ginger onions and spices. We both ordered medium Heat, and given the fact that the chef tends to ramp up the heat, the owner ramped it back down for us! Normally I would not appreciate that gesture, but in this case it was the right thing to do: although I had ordered what I considered a heat level I could handle, if she had not decreased it it would have been too hot for me to eat! They just opened two months ago and are still working out the kinks. We also ordered Roti bread, Idli Chutney appetizer and chai. Spices: I love a meal that includes explosions of flavor from the spices used, and this meal did not disappoint. The Bhindi sabji especially had wonderful coriander spices that came through, and I loved the sweetness of the chai, which also had a little afterburn! read more
