Their masala dosa is flavorful and large, and their regular "US Indian" menu is full of flavorful renditions of the limited menu Americans insist on eating from India. I don't eat out or eat takeout often in daily life but Tiffins is on the short list of restaurants to frequent. I've been unemployed recently and look forward to having spending money again that I can spend on a lovely dinner at or from Tiffins! Table service has been variable the several times I've eaten in - sometimes prompt, sometimes very delayed. The servers are also the people talking and organizing to go orders, so at mealtimes it can be quite delayed for restaurant service as they spend a good amount of time at the terminal taking orders and handing off DoorDash and pick ups. The restaurant is comfortable and not too brightly lit - great ambience for eating in. The tables near the payment terminal will get heavy traffic from pickup and to go orders, sometimes with people lined up waiting, so choose a different area if you're eating dinner in and looking for a quieter spot to chat and enjoy.

We got the lamb and feta samosas which were hot and crisp but lacking in feta. The mint chutney and sweet chili sauce complemented the meat and made it less dry. I ordered the Karahi chicken because I've never heard of it. It was sweet and spicy with large chunks of tender chicken thighs as well as bell peppers and red onions. My spouse ordered the Saag chicken and right away, it looked different than saag at other Indian restaurants. It looked smoky and tasted smoky as well. Recently, at the Yelp Camp Colorado event, I spotted the mango lassi drink samples at one end of the food truck display and the food (bites) were at the other end. Since the table of cups was monitored but easy to grab, with no line like the food bites, I enjoyed a sample. Best flavor Mango lassi I had ever had. Wanting another such drink today, I looked online for that food truck and it was noted that they were associated with Taj Indian Cuisine here in Boulder and in a shopping center quite close to my house. So my husband and I took off to get some to have with some items at home, for lunch. The sign for the Food Truck Tuk Took Bites was still in their window but has some sections crossed off in marker. Not knowing the full story we went in to get our drinks. The place is still beautifully decorated, clean and with lunch diners already eating well before noon. We were approached immediately and made our order. I asked about the Tuk Took Bites connection and was told it had been cancelled 2 years ago. When he delivered our drinks they were darker than the ones at the event and asked if they both used the same recipe. He said no. We took them anyway and drank them, but though they were perfectly adequate, they were quite different. They were a deeper, sharper taste of Mango and I had preferred the lighter, sweeter version I had last weekend. You may prefer either one and I am hoping that Tuk Took Bites Truck will find themselves in Boulder again some time soon. Thanks to Taj for your drinks (well priced and fresh) today.
