I normally jokingly write that I can't give a 5-star review to Indian restaurants because no restaurant can compare to my mother's cooking. But, perhaps in my old age and sentiment to restaurants needing reviews, I'm lightening up on that joke. I want to give appreciation to Indian Bites. It is a good spot in Longmont to give the people of the area accessibility to quality Indian/Nepalese food with a variety of options. The food tastes good, the staff is kind and helpful always, and it just has a nice feel. I've now gone twice with friends in Longmont and they really love the place. So I'm sure they will spread the word. As Jerry Seinfeld said to Babu, "The people are talking!" But I'm sure Indian Bites will do far better than poor Babu. Great spot in Longmont. Check it out! We have been looking for a good Indian spot in Longmont and this finally checked all of our boxes. We are basic and always order the chicken tikka masala and the chicken was tender with a sauce that was spicy to our liking and not too sweet. The cheese naan was interestingly thin, but the flavor was spot on. Prices were super reasonable as we are always used to spending almost $90 for a similar meal in Denver. This business kept popping up on Yelp for me, so when I had the chance to head to Longmont, I knew I was heading here! I ordered via their website and was quoted 25 - 35 minutes. I was right down the street already after finishing a meeting early, so I decided to stop in and see if they might be speedier than their site said. It's an unassuming place in a little strip mall across from a high school, so the parking lot was chock full of kids. I walked in and was greeted by the very friendly owners, gave them my name and they said they could have it out immediately - this is even after I requested to add garlic naan to the order. I paid for the extra naan and took a seat by the door as they offered my some complementary hot chai to sip on while I waited. We got home and opened everything up (still nice and hot) and dug in. I normally stick to medium spice when trying a new place until I know what "medium" truly means to them, but we ordered the chicken saag as hot. It was glorious! Enough to make your nose run but without covering up the wonderful flavor. The chicken tikka masala was medium and extremely tender and flavorful. Baingan Bharta was ordered at medium as well, and was full of creamy eggplant and fresh peas. I love Indian food and I really love this place. The staff here is so sweet and welcoming, and the menu here has a wider variety than other restaurants. There are lots of things here I've never tried and they are SO good. I love the navratna korma, which is paneer with vegetables and nuts. It was recommended by the staff and it was incredible. I loved the chai that came with it, too. My daughter had saag paneer, my husband had shrimp vindaloo, and we shared chicken momo and garlic naan. The garlic naan is amazing too--they are generous with the garlic, so you can really taste it. It blends well with the flavors in the dishes. What a welcome addition to Longmont! read more

The venue is tiny and very quiet, but the food is the best Indian I've ever had, and I've eaten a LOT of Indian food! This is a family-owned business, so the staff is covering a lot of jobs. The two times that I've been, they haven't been many customers, so I'm hoping they have a robust consumer base for pick up and delivery. In my humble opinion, the food and the value are superior to those of Namaste or Flavor of India. The chicken tikka masala was DELISH! I got medium and it was the perfect amount of spice. My boyfriend got the lamb curry (extra hot) and I thought he was going to pass away he still says it was his favorite Indian dish he's tried!! The naan wasn't my favorite that I've had but it still did the job. My first time trying momo's and I really liked them! Ordered a door dash pickup order. Service was very friendly on a busy night. Food was ready one or two minutes before the estimated time. Order was packaged very nice and neat. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which had awesome flavor and was stuffed with chicken. Not 90% sauce like other places. This place has recently lost my business due to their declining quality. I used to get carry out a lot. Their Biryani is also dry, requested spice levels not followed. The biggest change is their really low quality naan the last 3 times in a row. It tastes like it was frozen or microwaved, not fluffy and moist like every. other. Indian place I've ever eaten. Since Indian food is kind of a splurge with $18 entrees, I'm going back to my tried and true favorites, Flavor of India and Gurkhas Longmont. read more

Hands down some of the worst Indian food I've ever eaten. Butter chicken was absolutely flavorless. A tad mushy, and I get the impression that it was frozen. The sauce it was in was flavorless as well. A little too thick, giving me the impression that it's store bought. Papadum did not taste very well. I thought they would at least give me a dipping sauce. But they did not. Completely flavorless rice. And the bag that I picked up the food and was covered in sauce stains. Really good! Big, meaty chunks of chicken in the curry mango chicken chefs speciality entree. I was hoping for chunks of mango also, but Oh Well! Got the medium spice level and it's perfect for me!
