Not impressed. I've wanted to try this place, so got a delivery order. The papads were burnt, not edible. We ordered cheese naan, and got regular naan (with no cheese). The saag paneer was gritty; I get spinach is a gritty vegetable, but it needs to be blanched for saag - disappointed. The buttered chicken was okay - not great, but passable. Also, the next day, shall I say, um, digestion issues. I get that Indian spices can wake up the insides the next morning, and I'm used to that. But this was not that. Something was off. IF someone at this restaurant actually READS this and offers something, I may try it again, as one experience may not have been enough to judge. If not, buh bye. This place is definitely a little hole in the wall - located in a strip mall by a Thai restaurant and laundromat, and next to an urgent care and pet dental facility. I was in Loveland for the start of the week and craving some Indian food, so after a quick Yelp peruse to see close-ish spots that were open on a Monday, I made the 20 minute drive south to check this place out. I was greeted by (what appears to be the owner on other reviews) the lovely Laxmi and seated immediately in a cracked booth by the window. Their menu was expansive and I ordered three dishes with the plan of taking some home for leftovers - Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Saag and Baigan Bharta, all medium spice. They do NOT mess around with spice here! My medium was SPICY in all of the best ways. My nose was running after the first two bites. Everything was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I don't know why the chicken tikka masala is bright neon pink (a little disconcerting, honestly), but it was absolutely delicious with chunks of tender chicken that had obviously been seared perfectly before going into the sauce. Laxmi was prompt and made sure I never was in need of water refills, and was quick to get my to go boxes when I was finished. I have been to the Everest restaurant several times now for lunch so it makes sense for me to finally write about their food. My favorites so far are the Butter chicken and the Everest mixed grill. One of my go to Indian meals is Butter chicken which I have had all over the states and in India. The Everest makes a tasty Butter chicken. Their mixed grill is also good to go if I am in the mood for a larger meal. It is a mix of tandoori shrimp, chicken and lamb and hits all the right spicy and tasty notes. If you want some solid Indian food and great service this coZy restaurant will make you a happy eater! read more

My husbands tikka masala was good but my food- one of the entree sample plates- came out cold and pretty bland. Also the samosas didn't come with any sauce. What a gem! This place is amazing!! We ordered the Lasooni Naan, Paneer Tikka Masala (medium plus spice) which comes with basmati rice, lamb seekh kebab, and their coconut chai drink. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Tikka was so flavorful, thick, and spicy! The paneer was perfectly cooked. The naan was so good, as was the lamb. Such rich spices and flavors. The drinks are delicious and the water tastes great. The service is wonderful as the waitress was so kind! My favorite thing to get here is the thukpa soup: tasty, soft wheat noodles in an indescribably delicious, cinnamon-rich broth, with carrots, broccoli, ginger root... so yummy! This is my favorite Nepalese/Indian restaurant in town! I love their Baingan Bharta the most, but it's our family's favorite go-to spot in town when we're just needing a comfortable lunch spot to eat quick, amazing food, as they have the lunch buffet every day of the week they're open. Their catering size portions and prices are great as well! Beyond the food, though, is the familiarity and comfortability the family that runs it fosters with its customer-base! I can't remember a time I was there when I didn't hear multiple guests come after us get greeted by name and a question about how [whatever key things are happening in their life] is going. I MUST BE AN IDIOT ! ! ! ! YES, I certainly started my Yelp review of Everest stating those words && as you can see with the 1 star I just gave them...well, fellow yelpers, you already know this ain't gonna be no love story. Yesterday was my birthday and all I wanted was something good to eat. Delivery was top priority because we just popped open an expensive bottle of champagne. I initially wanted sushi and started to place an online order @ East Moon Asian Bistro. My total was about $30 and the pop up said that it wouldn't be here until about 45-50 minutes, I just said screw it and looked elsewhere. Indian sounded exciting and different, plus I had previously mentioned to my hubs that I saw ads on a few that deliver in the area. I yelp'd, I googled, I ordered over the phone! Pretty simple, really. I even asked if they were still delivering since it was about 8:15pm and she said, "I think so." Was that a warning sign I didn't pick up on? SO, an hour and ten minutes later I finally get a call from the delivery service they use. The guy said that he was lost. Turns out they didn't even have my address right (which I repeated to the lady over the phone). I lead him to me for about ten more minutes. When I gave him my money (a hundred) he went to his car for another 5 minutes and didn't even have proper change when he came back to my door. He handed me 5 twenties and said that was all he had. MIND YOU my husband is PISSED!!! Way late, had no change, cold food.. isn't it your job to get all this right? He can get angry and I was trying my hardest to get this guy outta here before there was a crime scene. My total was about $35 or $37 (PLEASE SEE THE PICTURE I POSTED) and I should have just given him $40 and said tough shit but being AN IDIOT I gave him $60 and sent him off because my husband was seriously about to go a-wall on a fellah. Hubby was starving! The delivery guy was even trying to call back after that shit-storm of a delivery exerpeince but my husband picked up the phone and the guy hung up. Smooth! Why was he trying to call back in the first place? I tipped this guy $20+ for a whole-lotta nothin'. If I didn't say, "It's my birthday, please, let's just have a good time" to my husband he would have easily said never mind and shut the door on this guy. SO, I'm asking you all to tell me: WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Would you suck it up and cut your losses or call the restaurant and tell them what happened?? I mean, the food was okay but cold, so I can't really judge. This seems to be a delivery problem but on the other hand these are the people your establishment places their trust upon for speedy & professional service. They also didn't get my address correct which isn't the delivery guys problem either (or was it). Everything just sucked all around. I don't even think my food was worth $37, let alone $60. I was excited to try Everest in Longmont with my great experiences with the location in Co. Springs. Ialso wanted to support a local restaurant during all of this Covid business. THE WORST DELIVERY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I'm convinced that my items were old and must have been from the lunch buffet. So disappointed. I paid $38 to have 2 old soggy inedible samosa's (and that is saying a lot if my 9 year Samosa fan won't touch it!), one TINY container of rice and a tiny little blob of Saag, and a half portion of Pan fried noodles were also old and tasted rancid! I complained through delivery service requesting partial reimbursement and was denied. I do not recommend and will NEVER be going back. I will stick with Flavor of India on 5th/Main for sure!!! The buffet is not stocked with everything but if any item is out, you can ask for them to bring more. Their chai tea is very nice and unlimited refills. I've tried them before and they were ok, nothing to write a review about, but at least you could eat their meal. No such luck tonight. Disappointed to have spent $ on the delivery and food, only to find it tasted so bad (even the chai...) that it's going to waste. This is just one of two times I can remember the food being so bad I didn't stomach it. (Really don't want to let things, especially now, go to waste.) This is BY FAR our favorite Indian restaurant in Longmont after we discovered them about a year ago! They were closed for about a month this summer for their yearly trip to visit family and we were forced to explore other Indian restaurants but THOSE DID NOT FIT THE BILL. We were excited to have them back and enjoyed their food again last night. First, a disclaimer, this is a small family restaurant, it's not TGI Fridays where they hire a ton of student waiters to run around asking you how your food is every two minutes. This place feels like you're visiting them in their home, with family and friends around, bringing out yummy bowls of food. :) That said, the dozens and dozens of times we've eaten there, the service is VERY good, prompt and attentive. So much so that the waitress remembers us, chats with us awhile, and remembers all of our favorite orders, reciting them back to us. There has been a time or two when the waitress wasn't there, and the owner/cook is basically running the entire show (sweet older woman who always says hi to us), cooking the food, answering calls, and waiting on tables. When this is the case, the wait has been longer, but I'm guessing it was due to a lack of help, and it happens so infrequently that I'm only commenting on it because other reviewers have mentioned it. Good portions on the meals, plus if you want extra rice they'll bring it no extra charge. Their garlic naan is without a doubt my favorite at any restaurant. Props to their Korma, my absolute favorite item on their menu, and the Tikka Masala is a perfect blend of tomato and spices. You can absolutely request if you want spicy or mild food, tell them what you want. The chicken and lamb are the tenderest cuts, and the chai is amazing (and refills!) This "hole in the mall" restaurant is family-owned and operated; we saw several of the family members passing through. Service was attentive even though we were going to the buffet for everything but drinks. The foods on the buffet were tasty, especially the saag (spinach), chili chicken, and spicy chana chaat (chickpea salad). Pretty good chai and very good samosas. The naan (flatbread) was obviously reheated but it seemed to be recently made and so it was still pretty good. I'd give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately like a few of the other buffets in the Front Range area their buffet had "chicken-itis." This is a syndrome defined as an irritation caused by too much chicken. The only meat dishes on the buffet were chicken. Chicken, chicken, and chicken. 3 kinds of chicken. No lamb, fish, seafood, or goat. I already eat a lot of chicken and would appreciate it if there were some other protein on the buffet. read more

Everest Restaurant is an Indian and Nepali eatery that opened fairly recently in north Longmont, in the same strip mall as Thai Kitchen. I finally had the opportunity to try this place out over the weekend. There were five of us and we ordered everything to share. First off, I was impressed by the prices which seemed about a dollar or two less per entree than other Indian restaurants I've been to recently (Flavor of India, for one). We ordered four entrees, two soups, an appetizer, and a couple of (non-alcoholic) drinks. The grand total came to about $55! Not even sure how we pulled that off. Everything was really quite tasty. The chicken korma was a highlight for me. The service was very prompt and friendly. Our waitress was chatty and eager to tell us about the restaurant and how the chef is a culinary artist. (He comes from Nepal, grinds his own spices, and apparently loves to experiment with new dishes on regular basis.) At first we thought the restaurant was small when we walked in, but it was explained later that they do have another room in the back with a bar. **Note: They are still waiting for their liquor license, so they do not serve any alcohol at this time, but they will. I would recommend that if you go during the winter, try to sit away from the door. I was wind-whipped every time someone came or left. read more

We tried Everest tonight for the first time and were not very impressed. We were one of two parties and the waitress waited over 15 minutes to ask for our drink order! She was the only waitress and we would have definitely understood her inattentiveness had it been busy, however there were a total of six customers there at the time. We both got our favorite - Chicken Tikka Masala and asked for it mild (since we're major wusses). It was on fire!!! So much so we could barely taste the food. It had the potential to be good because it was obvious it was authentic Indian. If we could have tasted the chicken, it probably would have been much better.
