The saag paneer was gritty; I get spinach is a gritty vegetable, but it needs to be blanched for saag - disappointed. The buttered chicken was okay - not great, but passable. Also, the next day, shall I say, um, digestion issues. I get that Indian spices can wake up the insides the next morning, and I'm used to that. But this was not that. Something was off. It is a good spot in Longmont to give the people of the area accessibility to quality Indian/Nepalese food with a variety of options. The food tastes good, the staff is kind and helpful always, and it just has a nice feel. I've now gone twice with friends in Longmont and they really love the place. So I'm sure they will spread the word. As Jerry Seinfeld said to Babu, "The people are talking!" But I'm sure Indian Bites will do far better than poor Babu. Great spot in Longmont. Check it out! Perfect balance of flavor and heat, and they even made it extra hot for me without me asking this time. We came in for our second visit and the guy working recognized us from before and remembered I like it spicy, so he told the kitchen to kick it up a notch. That kind of attention is awesome and the result was easily the best vindaloo I've had in Colorado. My wife had the saag paneer, which was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the kids ordered butter chicken, which she absolutely devoured. Always a good sign when the kids' plates come back empty. The food is fantastic, the spice levels are legit if you ask for them, and the staff clearly care about their customers. We'll definitely keep coming back. If you like real flavor and real heat, this place is a must.
