Indian Bites turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag, but the main courses genuinely impressed. Compared to another Indian restaurant in the Estes Valley area that I rated 5/5 for authentic flavor across the board, Indian Bites actually took the lead when it came to the sheer taste of the entrees. The garlic naan, yellow dal, rice with yogurt, and paneer karahi were all exceptionally delicious and full of flavor. On the flip side, the starters were a massive disappointment--ironic for a place with "Bites" in the name. Both the vegetable samosa and the pani puri were completely unpalatable to the point where we couldn't even take a second bite. Bottom line: Definitely come here for an outstanding main course, but skip the starters entirely. In fact if I'm planning to only eat main course, I would rather come here in the future. read more

Food is amazing! Chicken momo comes with a spicy sauce on the side that perked up the dish. Butter chicken was delicious and the garlic naan was just garlicky enough. We happened upon the parking lot and my husband smelled the food. Happy circumstances! read more

Ambiance: Simple and clean, with quick service. The owner was kind and spent time with my 1yr old. Food: Chicken Chowmein was delicious, I highly recommend. Great portion sizes for the price & good food. They can adjust the spice level according to your tastes. Definitely get the garlic naan & chai. The garlic naan was served warm and fluffy. It went well with our main dishes. The chai was creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. We tried two chicken dishes. Both dishes came with a good amount of chicken. The sauce in the mango chicken was creamy, sweet, and had a hint of spice (I requested mild). The chicken in the tandoori dish was roasted nicely. However, I felt the chicken in both dishes were a bit dry. The sauces definitely helped to make both dishes shine. Overall, it's a good choice for a quick and filling dinner in Estes. We did not have to wait for a table and the staff was very nice. The restaurant is clean and is good for solo dining or group dining. read more

Newer addition to Estes Park. Not-so-memorable first experience. My friend and I dropped by on a weekend morning right after our hike and right after the restaurant opened for the day, there was one other Indian family and the whole place was empty. The owner seated us right next to this family which was such a turn off as there was literally every other table free. When we requested to be moved, the owner's husband readily agreed but it made the owner angry. Ordered chicken saag and chicken korma, the saag had two small chicken prices in it and paneer even though I hated paneer. Will not return to this place. This is a deeply personal experience and I'm sure others might have had a much better experience, but there are many other nicer restaurants in Estes park. read more

Found this place while walking around downtown. The food was aromatic and tasty. Loved the ability to custom your spicy, heat level. Medium was just right and a few bites in it had my nose running which was fine with me. Service was excellent. Food choices were many. We had samosas, mango chicken, lamb marsala, butter naan, and a chi tea for extra warmth. Everything was very fresh and tasted good. We enjoyed our dinner and appreciated a little walk back through downtown to help digest. If you want a little Indian adventure, try it ... you will probably like it. read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Estes Park. The variety of Indian and Nepali dishes offered something for everyone in our group, specializing in traditional comfort food. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The service was warm and friendly and they were extremely nice to adjust the spice level to our liking. We enjoyed the dal makhani, Mattar aloo, kadhai paneer, samosa chaat and chowmein. After an afternoon of hiking, my wife and I wanted a fairly quick dinner in a casual restaurant. Indian Bites filled the bill perfectly with friendly and prompt service in an unpretentious setting. We ordered shrimp curry and aloo matar mild. Both dishes were flavorful and well presented. The shrimp was tender, not overcooked at all. We also enjoyed samosas with a light crust. We got in and got a table and in no time, we had delicious Indian food. It was a popular spot and the survive was great. They were very attentive and helpful! It's a pretty simple set up. We sat and ate there but a lot of people did take out and it seemed seamless. Something to note: there is NO PUBLIC BATHROOM yes, even if you are eating there. We ordered for pick up three main dishes, Chicken Tika Masala, Saag Paneer, and Navratan Korma as well as Lamb Biryani, onion pakora, vegetable and vegetable pakora. They charge us for all of it but completely forgot to include the Navratan Korma. We pick up the order, get home, look in the bag and see it missing. Drive back and they tell us they will make it. They bag it, we drive back home and it's chicken korma. Not vegetable. It wasn't worth driving back again. The food was okay, not great, just okay. We should have made our own and saved the hassle. read more

(Local review) it doesn't look like much from the outside but this place isn't afraid of flavor unlike another super popular location in town. This place (they also have one in Lyons) has some excellent dishes to choose from. It doesn't feel like a watered down tourist menu. They have 4 point spice tier. I've tried hot, extra hot and 5 out of 4. Take into consideration where you are and maybe order a level higher than you want extra hot=hot and 5 out of 4 = extra hot... you get the idea. That said the flavors here are great regardless of the spice level. If you are choosing Indian food based on food quality and not the outside of the building this is the spot to try. read more

After stopping by three other restaurants that were either closed or take-out only(even though Apple Maps said they were open), we stopped by Indian Bites. What an EXPERIENCE! Before we even entered into the restaurant we could smell the brilliant spices from the parking lot which ultimately drew us in. We were greeted by the sweetest hostess, Kabita, as soon as we opened the door. After viewing the menu, we all ordered something different to try it all. Food came out so fast and everything was absolutely delicious. From the Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken(WOW), Chicken Chow Mein, and more, we couldn't stop eating! As someone who is normally a wimp to spice, I loved the fact that we could choose our spiciness level!
