    Punjabi vegetable
    Melissa R.

I ordered the Punjabi vegetable curry (with a side of rice) and their vegetarian momos. The food tasted good but the masala was less. The food didn't have a kick. It was very mild. (So if you want spice, make sure to let them know) The portions were very filling. This was enough food for two meals. I ordered for takeout and food was ready quickly.

Chicken momos, Nepal naan, and chicken korma

This spot satisfied my dumpling fix when I was staying in Estes Park! I got the steamed chicken momos and they were perfectly steamed to the right texture. The dumpling skin was very good quality - the right thickness where it lends to a chewy texture. The filling was really moist and rich with aromatics from the green onion and garlic, and also from the turmeric spice. Loved the chutney sauce on the side for the spice kick it added to the momos. The only reason I'm rating this place as 4 stars is because the naan wasn't the best. It was rather thin, and not fluffy compared to other naan bread I've had before. It didn't seem as fresh since it's wasn't hot out of the oven. We also got the chicken korma. The chicken was cooked really tender and the curry was really creamy. It wasn't the best in terms of flavor compared to other chicken korma I've had, but it was still a good meal. They didn't ask how spicy we wanted it, which I thought was a little weird because I've always been asked about spice preference at other Indian restaurants. Service was very speedy and the staff was very friendly. Loved their energy.

    Lamb vindaloo (extra spicy)

I googled random restaurants that were open at the time and found this and Himalayan restaurant. We decided to come here since it was closer of a walk as it was cold out. We ordered the lamb vindaloo (extra spicy upon request) and vegetable curry (nepals curry) with added okra as I was craving for it. The food and garlic naan was delicious. I can't speak for the authenticity of it since this is was my first time trying Nepalese food. Nevertheless, good food is good food! The service was good, the waitress was passionate and we loved her cadence. It felt like an auntie, warm and friendly.

This is a really cute Nepalese and Indian establishment located in Estes Park. The owners and staff were really nice and seated us quickly. After browsing the menu, I went with the chicken noodles and my friends got the muttar paneer and baigan bhatta. I absolutely loved the noodles in terms of how light and filling it was! The chicken was cooked to perfection, and it wasn't as greasy and had tons of veggies. I tried a bit of the mattar paneer which was also delicious and creamy without being too heavy. The baigan bhatta also was great and could taste the smokiness of the eggplants. Overall, we got our food pretty quickly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here!

Food was pretty tasty. Missing some spices in my opinion. Didn't mean to order a chai latte but it wasn't good at all. Dumplings were pretty good. They had a little bit of spice in them. Green tea was warm but it was good. Service was good, servers were all very kind.

We returned here after several years and were glad to se the restaurant is still in business. The restaurant's ambiance is modest although there are many Nepal- themed photos and pictures on the walls. The samosas were hit and the filling had a slight curry flavor. I loved them. We had the chicken momo and they were outstanding. The sauce it comes with is not spicy although it looks like it may be. Service was a bit slow but worth the wait. We definitely will eat here again next time we are in Estes.

A real find in Estes Pk - super friendly service and cool personal notes left under tabletop cover. Now the food - great. Just really good freshly prepared Nepalese dishes that pop with flavors. A really cool place to sample Nepal's cuisine.

Chicken pakora appetizers, beers, and rose lassi

Casual place to eat. Good portions and friendly staff. Really liked the fish coconut curry and rose lassi. The chicken biriyani was bland. Other dishes we saw people ordering looked very tasty. Dishes here are not spicy/ very mild (modified to fit more western palate). We did noticed an Indian family complaining that the spice level was not to their liking.

Sorry this is a couple weeks behind but feel like it was worth writing…read more.. I always judge an Indian restaurant by the lamb vindaloo, and this one was incredible. Perfect balance of flavor and heat, and they even made it extra hot for me without me asking this time. We came in for our second visit and the guy working recognized us from before and remembered I like it spicy, so he told the kitchen to kick it up a notch. That kind of attention is awesome and the result was easily the best vindaloo I've had in Colorado. My wife had the saag paneer, which was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the kids ordered butter chicken, which she absolutely devoured. Always a good sign when the kids' plates come back empty. The food is fantastic, the spice levels are legit if you ask for them, and the staff clearly care about their customers. We'll definitely keep coming back. If you like real flavor and real heat, this place is a must.

We recently dined in for the first time and it was a fantastic experience. The owner knows my spouse from us getting take-out and he was so excited that we were dining in. He was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and special. I got my usual vegetarian korma and my spouse tried their chicken biryani. We also got some chai and the owner insisted on giving us a small order of naan. It was DELICIOUS! I tried a bite of my spouse's and it was delicious. My korma was amazing, as usual. And the naan! It's good regardless but I highly recommend getting it if you dine-in because it's crispy in a way that getting it as take-out diminishes. The chai was so delicious and I wish I knew how they make it so good, it's never that good at home. I hope we can dine-in again soon. It was such a great experience.

After a few pages of my book, the food starting rolling out. The Chicken Tikka Masala was so tender with the yogurt-marinated chicken having a little tang, the Chicken Saag was creamy with the perfect spice, and the Baingan Bharta was made perfectly, studded with fresh peas that burst in every bite. The garlic and cheese naan was a perfect compliment, with a beautiful glaze of ghee on every piece. I ordered medium, but would likely up my spice preference next time. My lunch buddy and I both decided to get curry combos, where you get to choose an appetizer, a dal, your curry, naan, and dessert. Oh, and it comes with papadum and rice. It was so much food! We could have shared one combo and both been very satisfied, but at least this way we were able to taste more things. In my combo I had: chicken momos, desi dal, a chicken curry (I forget which one - it was the one the server recommended when I said I preferred mild/medium spice), rosemary naan, and gulab jamun. My friend started and ended with the same appetizer and dessert, but otherwise chose the dal makhani, chicken vindaloo, and garlic naan. We both had chai to drink. Everything was so good! I have to say that I was glad to have asked for mild/medium spice - it was right at the edge but not over my tolerance level. If there was a reason not to share combos it would be because we'd fight over the momos - it was a good thing we had 2 orders. Both dals were tasty, but I think I will stick with dal makhani in the future. I wish I could remember which curry I had because it was unlike anything I've tried before and delicious. I had a taste of the vindaloo, too - I enjoyed the bite I had, but with the spice level I couldn't have eaten a whole serving. The gulab jamun was the best I've ever had - completely soaked through with the syrup giving it the most delightful texture. My lunch buddy likened it to homemade. The service was helpful but not overbearing - offering opinions on the menu when asked, checking in to make sure we were happy, explaining a little bit about regional Indian food (eg the inclusion of Indo-Chinese on the menu), etc. It was nice that the owner stopped by to thank us for coming in, and that our server kept the chai flowing. I could have happily sat there drinking chai and enjoying the calming ambiance (on point with beautiful blue walls and light fixtures) all afternoon if there weren't the small matter of having to go back to work.

She ate the butter chicken, rice and mango lassi. And has been ill all night. As a celiac it's clear when food contamination makes her sick rather than simply not feeling well.
