This was my first visit and I want to say, the first of many as I do plan to return! The decor is colourful and bright to elevate your mood! When in Estes Park, Nepal's Cafe is a must visit location! We had spent the day at Rocky Mtn National Park and needed a meal that would refuel our energy! We stopped by based on the good reviews and the reasonably priced menu. I do know we had the best food, service and were more than pleased with the food, as this is a tourist town and expectations aren't usually met in a place where tours travel. Locals came in and you could tell they knew the owners and this was their go to restaurant! That is always a good sign! The food was served quickly and all fresh and delicious! The naan was the best I have ever eaten. Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Panneer were plenty for the 3 of us in our group and we all savoured the flavors! We also loved the vegetable samosas! Sorry no pics, they were immediately inhaled when placed on the table! I enjoyed a mango lemonade that was really sweet and I would order it again! One of my table mates had a beer and the other enjoyed the chai tea, that came with free refills! It's a small restaurant, but the staff is really nice and accommodating. Came here after doing a long hike in the Rocky Mountains. Went here based on recs and got some pakoras, momos, and samosa chaat. The food came out pretty fast and was really good. The food was so delicious here. I'm so happy we found this restaurant while on a short vacation. The service was awesome, the owners are super friendly and curious. Love how the place was decorated and the tables were the most fun. So many people have left thing such as business card to ID cards, and money for their countries. I love Indian food and have been to India many times as well as living there as a kid... I ordered the samosas, they were a big disappointment. The pastry was puff pastry, not what I was expecting. Samosas are my favorite thing and I usually judge a restaurant on how they are prepared and more importantly the taste. The aloo filling had hard peas... I also ordered the plain naan. The plain naan has never seen the inside of a tandoori oven and it was thick round wheat pita... naan is white and tear drop shaped... The saag paneer was very good.. This spot satisfied my dumpling fix when I was staying in Estes Park! I got the steamed chicken momos and they were perfectly steamed to the right texture. The dumpling skin was very good quality - the right thickness where it lends to a chewy texture. The filling was really moist and rich with aromatics from the green onion and garlic, and also from the turmeric spice. Loved the chutney sauce on the side for the spice kick it added to the momos. The only reason I'm rating this place as 4 stars is because the naan wasn't the best. It was rather thin, and not fluffy compared to other naan bread I've had before. It didn't seem as fresh since it's wasn't hot out of the oven. We also got the chicken korma. The chicken was cooked really tender and the curry was really creamy. It wasn't the best in terms of flavor compared to other chicken korma I've had, but it was still a good meal. They didn't ask how spicy we wanted it, which I thought was a little weird because I've always been asked about spice preference at other Indian restaurants. I googled random restaurants that were open at the time and found this and Himalayan restaurant. We decided to come here since it was closer of a walk as it was cold out. We ordered the lamb vindaloo (extra spicy upon request) and vegetable curry (nepals curry) with added okra as I was craving for it. The food and garlic naan was delicious. I came here with my sister and my puppy and they treated us so well! They brought out a water bowl and chicken for the pup and refills of their delicious chai for us. We returned here after several years and were glad to se the restaurant is still in business. The restaurant's ambiance is modest although there are many Nepal- themed photos and pictures on the walls. The samosas were hit and the filling had a slight curry flavor. I loved them. We had the chicken momo and they were outstanding. The sauce it comes with is not spicy although it looks like it may be. Service was a bit slow but worth the wait. This is a really cute Nepalese and Indian establishment located in Estes Park. The owners and staff were really nice and seated us quickly. After browsing the menu, I went with the chicken noodles and my friends got the muttar paneer and baigan bhatta. I absolutely loved the noodles in terms of how light and filling it was! The chicken was cooked to perfection, and it wasn't as greasy and had tons of veggies. I tried a bit of the mattar paneer which was also delicious and creamy without being too heavy. The baigan bhatta also was great and could taste the smokiness of the eggplants. Overall, we got our food pretty quickly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here! read more

Some of the best Indian food I've ever had (the items I ordered were Indian, not Nepalese). My go to-s are the matar paneer and lamb korma with some garlic naan. I've tried their buffet and their matar mushroom as well. Inside is super cute and the staff is friendly, service is quick and our food always comes out fresh and delicious. Unfortunately this is not the place for people that enjoy the complexity of Indian Food or enjoy spice. I'm local and have tried this 6 times now. This is the best Nepali food we've ever had and the best place to eat in Estes Park! The restaurant is cozy and casual. The staff here is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Our server was the kindest person and really made us feel welcome! We started with vegetable samosas and they were hearty and delicious. There are no words to describe the butter chicken and the vindaloo with chicken! Best we've ever had and not a drop remained - LOL! We got medium spice and it was perfect. Wow, this is a hidden gem if I ever saw one! Among all the tourist traps and overpriced bars in Estes Park is this Nepalese restaurant hidden on a side street. Prices are reasonable, service was kind, and food was wonderful and authentic. It's weird that this is the best chicken korma I've ever had in Estes of all places. I ate here a couple years ago and knew I wanted to return during my return to Estes this year. You never know if it was just the day or something when you return, but it delivered again! The korma is really creamy and has a deep and complex spice to it I've not had anywhere else. The naan was also very good. Do yourself a favor and eat here while in town. The back patio area near the river is lovely. read more
