I think this is my favorite restaurant in Utah . I don't get to eat Indian food very often so whenever I come here it's like I'm trying it for the first time. First time here I ordered the lamb curry and it was awesome but then I switched to chicken curry and haven't gone back. I like the chicken better because it's more tender. I love the curry sauce that the chicken is marinated in. I wish i could make it at home but it's IMPOSSIBLE! Dont forget the garlic naan and then dip it in the sauce JESUS CHRIST it's delicious! I've also been to the Bombay house near by which is also good but I feel more comfortable here. The owner is really nice and he always comes to the table to greet you with a smile. Absolutely the best Indian food in Utah Valley - hands down over Bombay House. The food is incredible, especially their coconut korma and tikka masala. Their rice is light and fluffy, but very flavorful all on its own. The waiters are always extremely friendly and willing to do pretty much anything to ensure you enjoy your meal. First time here. We usually go to Bombay house but wanted to give India palace a try. The food was wonderful. I Would have given at least four stars had it not been for the horrible attitude of the staff member who helped us the first half of the meal. Having had Bombay House I can't help but compare IP to them, this spot has good Indian food my favorite being the Chicken Makhani and Masala. IP is a nice space and the service is courteous but, I prefer Bombay because the food is more flavorful. read more

I'm rating based on the lunch buffet. We came a year or two ago and were two of only four people in the place, and we weren't impressed at all. Coming back two years later, the place was packed, and I this helped to ensure that the food was cycling often and always fresh out of the pan. There was a new batch of piping hot naan each time we went back for another plate. The dishes aren't as complex, interesting, or flavorful as the equivalents you'd get at Bombay House. Of course, the tradeoff is that you can eat as much as you'd like of a greater variety of dishes. Considering this, the food is quite good for a buffet, and the price is very reasonable ($10/person for the lunch buffet). Our drinks were always topped off, and our used plates were always taken away in the minutes we were gone getting more food. If I were eating the same quality of food served at the buffet for the prices they charge when ordering from the menu, I'd probably rate the place two stars. There are simply better alternatives. If you're going for dinner, or will be ordering entrees individually, go to Bombay House or Kohinoor. Otherwise, the lunch buffet is one-of-a-kind in the valley, and is worth trying. read more

Never has my family ever been to such a terrible service restaurant. I'm Indian myself to offer some perspective. The owner of the restaurant put us in the darkest corner of the restaurant when there was plenty of nicer tables. Then when we told him we wanted a better place to sit, he gave us an attitude and was rude to us for the rest of the night. Was this because we're Indian like him and he thought of us as lesser beings than the Caucasian customers? I can't say, but that's really how it feels. WORST SERVICE EVER, WE FEEL INSULTED. It's so much worse because we were trying our best to be polite to our countryman and he just ignored our friendly attitude.. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. Another experience that my aunt is telling me she had here was when she came last time and the owner gave us stale and rotten Indian sweets "on the house". How is a service restaurant going to give sweets that are rotten and stale "on the house" with such a giving attitude? Unacceptable. read more

The food is galaxies away from Authentic Indian.It can only suit non Indian palettes.I ordered paneer masala which despite being medium spicy was way too bland and sweet.Tadka dal was the same with no flavor and no spices whatsoever and smelled of uncooked turmeric. I've probably been here a half-dozen times now--both for dinner and for the lunch buffet. For the price, the lunch buffet can't be beat in terms of value. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food itself is excellent. I crave this place all the time. Going for dinner is much more expensive, but the variety of dishes is greatly expanded at that time. All the dishes I've had here have been excellent. My favorites are the chicken tikka masala, mango chicken, any of the coconut kormas and their lassis (try the rose water lassi--really good). For the lunch buffet, the naans and tandoori chicken can be inconsistent in their quality and freshness--but, I've never had any issue with either for dinner. I highly recommend this place. I've been to Bombay House a couple times, too--but it's just too expensive and crowded to be worth it over India Palace. India Palace definitely wins out over Bombay House for service, price and the food is just as good. read more
