It is fantastic to have a new dining option in Post Falls. We tried it today and had a great experience. The curry, Vindalloo and Tiki Masala were excellent as was the specially baked garlic cheese bread. The staff and manager were very attentive and the facility was well maintained and clean. I've loved coming here until they hired a new server. I'm assuming it's a family member of the owner. He was rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. That description is honestly an understatement. So happy to finally try this new Indian restaurant. You know just from walking in how great the food will be by the amazing aromas. We ordered the palak paneer, vegetable korma, butter chicken and garlic naan. Everything was great. Actually beyond great! Huge portions, great price for the amount of food and left overs for 3 more meals (only two of us eating.). Their food is fresh, sauces were seasoned as requested (no to mild level spice/heat.). I'd give 10 stars if I could! Oh my goodness! The food here is exceptional! The service is also extraordinary. What I can only assume is the chef/owner came directly to our table after the first few bites to see what we thought or if we needed anything. Our favorite Indian restaurant in the Panhandle area. We especially enjoy their curries which are full of flavor and spices. We also like to complement our meal with some naan and mango lassis which are also delicious. The prices are reasonable for the decent portion sizes and authenticity of the food (Indian food in general tends to be on the pricier side). Ordered takeout from them the other night and did NOT regret it! Got some butter chicken, ginger chicken, Vegetable Korma, and some rice. All of it was good and they had the spices down. Service was very friendly and, while I didn't get a super good look inside, it looked like it would be a cool place to sit down and eat. Wow! Mango Tree CDA watch out! This place is going to give you a very stiff competition. The food was excellent. Service was good too. When you walk in the smells of fine Indian food was intoxicating. We tried the Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, Tandoori chicken and a very colorful and flavorful rice that was exquisite. No frills inside seating that accommodates for stinking COVID. The place was hoping with many waiting for tables to open up and the hustle of doordash drivers in and out traffic. The garlic Naan bread was delicious. The spicy levels were perfect for my wife but of course I could use them higher. Now they have been opened 3 weeks and what a gem to find and eat out. This dinner was ok. Ordered two appetizers, which were the best part of the meal. The dipping sauces were flavorful as were the cheese and veggie pakoras. Our party of four ordered three entrees which came with three dishes of spice scented rice. All was prepared and delivered in a timely manner, staff was polite and attentive. But the dinner...was meh. We ordered Butter chicken, a goat curry dish and palak paneer. The servings were small. The goat dish had four pieces of meat that were attached to large chunks of bone. Each dish comprised of more sauce than anything else. I've been to many Indian restaurant around the country. I've seen this type of serving style before, but the prices were usually reflective of the same. Let me be clear. When we go to dine at a fine restaurant, we expect this. Not here. Our dinner for four with three Indian beers, two small appetizers and three main entrees was over $100. None of us are big eaters, but we left disappointed. The dinner wasn't terrible, and I'm glad restaurants such as this are still open through this pandemic, but places like this will have a significant struggle to keep their doors open if they continue to serve small, overpriced dishes. read more

As a Persian gal visiting from Houston, TX it's so nice to see authentic Indian food up here. My boyfriend took me to get some after I got out of the airport yesterday and to be honest, I didn't expect much, given that I've had trouble finding great Indian or Middle Eastern food in the greater CDA/Spokane area. Like come on people, where's the seasoning?! But boy was I impressed. It's up there with anything you can get in a huge, diverse urban setting like HTX. I had the Masala Chai (spiced tea with condensed milk) and channa masala (chickpea curry with a bit of a kick) with rice and naan and it was so good--it was prepared fresh and was rich with flavor. You HAVE to try it. Eating here really curbs the homesickness. I've been thinking about this food all day today and will likely go tomorrow to get more. Especially the masala chai... if you're interested in having the real thing rather than the "chai tea" they sell at Starbucks or whatever, this is the real deal. It came out piping hot and I was struggling between wanting to drink it and trying not to burn my GI tract. This place is a gem, don't skip it! read more

When they opened it was great and was my go to for take out Indian food even though Mango tree was a block away. Now I will go back to the other option. The raita was soup and there was chunks in one. 2 of the 3 breads were burnt. The entree dishes were good, but seemed much different than before. We were given salsa of some sort. Mediocre portions of protein with an abundance of sauce amounting to about one cup total is what you get for $15 or more. Compared to other Indian restaurants in places like Renton or Seattle, this place comes in dead last for price vs. quality. I was really hoping for much better given there is only one other Indian restaurant in all of Kootenai and Bonner counties. I may return only if they ever get their buffet up and running. Well I received horrible service here at India House. This place went from being one of my favorite to being 86ed from there! I called over the phone to order our food quicker in hopes it would be ready for us by the time we got there the gentleman that answered the phone was extremely short with us over the phone. So when we got there he did repeat our order but since we were so used to just saying chicken ticka, like I've done dozen's of times before they seemed to always know what we wanted NOT THIS time! meaning (the Chicken Ticka Marsala) I think a lot of it had to be said or spelled out to the guy. Because he was being a real DICK in the eloquent words from my wife. We found this out only after coming home and opening the sealed bag. We spent 70+ dollars on this visit between food and tip and the guy wasn't apologetic or regretted the mistake he instead blamed us and said it was our fault! So we hung the phone up then another guy called my number unsolicited saying we would no longer be allowed at his business because my wife called his rude ass server a DICK like he was being. I re-explained what had happened to this second guy and he was already on the defensive so I was not getting anywhere with him as well! All I can say is if you want to pay heafty prices for bad services then deal with these idiots, I personally won't spend another penny at this restaurant and will make sure all my friends know the crappy service I received there so they don't spend their money as well. read more

I was so happy to see an Indian restaurant move in to our our city, and wanted to try it for some time, because every once in a while I have a hankering for ethnic food. The atmosphere is casual with tables and booths, and Indian music in the background. The staff were busy, but courtious. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I ordered the chicken jalfrezi, being in the mood for vegetables and something different than my usual butter chicken. It was delicious, quick, and reasonably priced for the area, about $14-16 per plate. I plan to make this my regular Indian go to restaurant. read more
