VEGGIE PAKORA (8) house made, fried potato + onion pieces.
    Jennifer B.

Tonight my friend and I tried another Indian restaurant in the area. This time we tried The Mango Tree - Spokane Valley. Now I can say I have been to every Indian restaurant (by name) in the area. We started with some drinks, Indian Margarita (didn't know it was a thing) and a Prickly Flower Martini. Both were great and something I haven't had anywhere else. I didn't even know there was such a thing as an Indian Margarita.... But it's definitely worth a try! My friend also got to try a Mango Lasse. It was her first time trying it, and it was yummy. Next course was Veggie Pakoras, they were great and (surprisingly) also came with a house salad. In the restaurant we went with grilled entrees. I ordered their fish and my friend the shrimp. These entrees came with basmati rice, and a really fresh tasting house salad. Not sure what dressing they used, but it was light and wonderful. As for the grilled entrees, the amount of protein was great, the seasoning that was sprinkled over the protein was (in our opinion) a little on the salty side. We loaded up on to-go food though. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (two different spice levels) and after asking another friend what her favorite was, I ordered the Mango Curry (with chicken) to go as well. With the curry bowls we were also able to get an order of garlic naan for each bowl. That's a great savings!! We had a great visit, great food, and our server was fantastic! The restaurant was clean, and fairly empty. I did stop at Top of India on the way home for some extra hot Rogan Josh (it's not on the menu at the Mango Tree) and Raita. We have plenty of food for several days.

The sauces that come with the samosas. A sweet chutney and green sauce I forgot their names.

This place was delicious! The ambiance is a little off. Still very "bar" like with a ton of high tables and chairs. The service was great! The server was so helpful and answered all my million questions with pleasure! The food is on point! The SAMOSA (2) savory fried pastries stuffed with veggies + spice, they are delicious and come with two sauces. One is more a sweet chutney sauce and one is green with more spice. The butter chicken is phenomenal! The TIKKA MASALA is amazing as well. All the flavors are on point and you can pick your spice level from 0-5! The Naan is warm and soft and tasty! The garlic naan pairs super well with the butter chicken! Definitely recommend!

I have been to this location a couple of times and the service has been hit or miss. But this time, the service and food were excellent. We ordered the chicken tikka masala to share with a side of garlic naan and an extra side of rice as we were sharing. The chicken tikka had a perfect portion of meat and the sauce was so luscious and I love the addition of the ginger. It added a nice freshness to the dish. The garlic naan was so incredibly tasty and light and the rice was perfectly seasoned and flavorful.

We would not go back to this place. We went there when it was not busy at all. The server told us to sit wherever. It took 10 minutes for her to bring menu to us afterwards. It was weird because other customers were brought to their table with menu. They got drinks right away. After ordering food, she never came to check on us. She was busy chatting with other customers. The beef kebab was very dry and hard to chew.

Great food, feels healthy and lighter than some Indian food but still flavorful. Fast and reasonable prices

I got butter chicken to go. I've eaten at 3 Mango Tree locations and this one was the best tasting food. Soo good!

Cocktails: Great! Very strong, fairly unique menu Food: Mango enchiladas: I tried some of my friend's and I really enjoyed, I think if I went back I would order that! Pollo Asado: the rice was perfect, I wanted the chicken to maybe have a little more seasoning or a dash of salt but it was really really good! Cooked well. Corn was good. Curry rip and dip: dare I say just okay? I wanted to love, and I do love the concept but something didn't work for me personally. I think I was envisioning a much more smoother curry, and it's more chunkier. I ate it all but probably wouldn't order again. I loved the paratha! Three amigos: the queso stole the show! I especially enjoyed the pico and the guac personally and found the guac to be exactly what I was expecting and the pico to be a tasty twist on a favorite of mine. Overall: great! Really cool restaurant menu concept, some of the dishes I really loved and I left full and very pleased with my experience

This teeters between a 4 and 5 for me, but didn't get to try enough to truly decide. We stopped in for happy hour while eating our way through Spokane and ordered three dishes: the Three Amigos, crispy cauliflower, and potato taquitos. The taquitos were our favorite -- crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned -- though the cauliflower was a close second. The tamarind pico from the Three Amigos added such a nice sweet-tart twist. The guac was my least favorite, a bit one-note compared to the punchy flavors elsewhere, but still fresh. I love that everything is clearly labeled for dietary restrictions, and though I skipped cocktails this visit (a bit alcoholed out!), the rotating margarita flavors definitely caught my eye... I'll be back for one.

The flavors were well balanced and tasty. My partner also got a side of the coconut daal (had a spice level of 1/5). We both tried that, and came to the conclusion that the lentils may have been overcooked because they were mainly mush, and the flavor was lacking. He also got a mango lassi, which and he stated it was quite delicious. The staff was so friendly and enthusiastic about their dishes. The chef even popped out to see how everyone was doing. We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. The trout was fully rare when I got it...I had to ask for it to be re-fired to medium (I can handle fish at medium rare but not rare, unless it's sashimi). They were quick and accommodating about that request and the trout was delicious. The mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side were great. Overall, the experience was really good but not quite excellent.
