Let me start by saying we went on their third day open! We experienced everything you may expect from a brand new restaurant ironing out the kinks. The server was great and enthusiastic, however, the food and drinks were quite slow. The drinks themselves were super unique and delicious. The favorite dishes were the chicken saltimbocca and focaccia. The white beans were good, but not what we expected. It had a chili vibe. The tagliatelle was also pretty good, but slightly overcooked. All in all, excited to come back in a couple months once they have settled in! I plan to try the pizza and a couple other pasta dishes.

The standouts of the night were the chicken saltimbocca and the three hours we spent there. We had a 6:45 reservation but weren't seated until about 7:10, even though groups who arrived after us were seated first. When I mentioned it to the manager, the explanation was that they were still working through things since they had just opened. Service felt disorganized and below the level I expected. My portion of the bill was about $100 with tip for bread, an entrée, and half a bottle of wine.

Great spot -- Joe P was our server and he was great. The focaccia bread was awesome -- cheesy and soft. For entrees we tried the mushroom pizza and the lasagna. Both had a different flare and were really good. Drinks were good as well -- espresso martini and the suit & tie.

Went for a birthday brunch. Space is beautiful and comfortable. Server Sevin was so friendly and attentive. Food and cocktail menus have something for everyone (get tbe Blonde Spritz) and at a great price point. Birthday gelato was a cute touch at the end of our meal. Brunch food is generally good but doesn't usually blow me away, so I will have to come back to try pasta and pizza for dinner! No complaints, food was cooked well! Indaco is a great new spot in Germantown.

Excellent service! Food was good enough that did come back! Waitress also let me sample 2 wines to decide which I'd like.

I love the location in Charleston so was excited when I heard they were opening up one in Nashville! I think it'll be a great addition to the Germantown area with a cute vibe inside or on their patio. The food was all delicious and service was impeccable!

Indaco is an exciting new addition to Germantown that already feels like it's been part of the neighborhood for years. The space is warm and inviting, especially around the bar, with a lively energy that still lets you relax and enjoy your night. I started with a couple of cocktails that were both unique and refreshing--balanced, creative, and easy to sip with food. The Polpette were comforting and full of flavor, and the sausage pizza had a great crisp crust and just enough spice to keep things interesting. For dessert, we shared three gelato flavors--olive oil, pistachio, and salted caramel--and all of them were excellent, especially the olive oil, which was creamy and surprisingly addictive. Salted caramel is still probably my favorite though. Service was outstanding across the board, but Jess really stood out. She offered thoughtful, personalized recommendations, checked in at the right times, and you could see her coaching and supporting the team all night--impressive for a grand opening. Indaco is absolutely a spot I'll be returning to, whether for cocktails at the bar or a full dinner with friends.

Great atmosphere and service! Pizza was so yummy and the cocktails were delicious. Great spritz selection for summer. Would definitely come back!

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

The ambience is still nice, but we were seated so close to other tables it was a bit uncomfortable. The server was great (super sweet waitress) but the food was inconsistent. Even she seemed to be aware of this. Here's what we tried: Steak Tartare: 1/10 - Hated it. Worst steak tartare I've had. It tasted literally ONLY of capers and mustard. We couldn't even see the color of the meat. Even our waitress said it was so inconsistent and sometimes bad. Keep in mind they did comp this which was very nice of them. Whipped Ricotta: 9/10 - Okay this was AWESOME. The pita bread was soft, the ricotta was smooth and sweet, and all the toppings on it were just perfect pairings. Chefs kiss. White Bolognese: 5/10 - Pretty mid/bland. Just kind of tasted like pasta with Alfredo sauce and some meat. Eh. Truffle Fries: 5/10 - Standard fries. There is parmesan and truffle at the top but none on any of the middle or bottom fries, so you don't really want to keep eating them. Brussels: 8/10 - Lovely fry on these. They tasted very rich, but could've had more depth to them in my opinion. More crunch perhaps, or even a zingier sauce. Beef tenderloin: 7/10 - I mean it was good beef, but nothing special. The steak just kind of tasted like an average cut of beef. The au jus was good, though, along with the mashed potatoes. Chocolate cherry cake : 4/10 - They offered this to us for free for our anniversary, but I didn't love it. The chocolate flavor was super mild, and the cherry was kind of sickeningly artificial. Not for me. See what I mean now, by inconsistent?

The Authentique truly feels like a little piece of France tucked into East Nashville. The décor, the vibe, hearing so many different languages around us, it honestly felt like being back in Europe. They have one of the most impressive wine lists I've seen in the city, and if you're indecisive like me, the wine flights are the way to go. We did the Tour de France flight, my husband went with the whites, I did the reds, and everything was incredible. The Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Chards (yes, because we of course shared haha)... just wow. We paired it all with steak tartare (yes, they have French bites too!), plus they offer charcuterie boards, crepes, and more. Definitely coming back for those. Bonus: every Tuesday they host wine tastings at the bar led by their sommelier, each week with a different theme, mostly French and other European wines. tickets can be purchased in their website Huge thank you to Alexander for walking us through the whole concept. With the amazing early spring weather, we opted to sit outside in their patio garden area, which was such a cute and relaxed spot. For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes. The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.
