Early evening stop in Green Hill area after another long day of work. We stopped at Doughbird for some pizza and a drink. I think of myself a a bit of a pizza guru. I have to say this pizza was nothing short of amazing. Crust was crisp, yet doughy. Toppings were just enough. You can tell this pizza was well thought through. Was much better than we expected. The bacon on The Aviator was amazing. A bit of a smoky flavor added to the pepperoni. We will absolutely come to this location again. I would rate the pizza an 8.7 out of 10. Very high score for a local pizza place here in the Nashville area. It was absolutely delicious! If you are on this side of Nashville, fly on into Doughbird. You will not be disappointed.

A few friends and I chose Doughbirds for a going away meal, and we enjoyed! The restaurant is spacious and well-lit. Great place for group dining. It wasn't very crowded, giving a relaxed vibe. There's free parking in the garage. Loved: service (very helpful, recommended my pizza); Spicy Hawaiian (nice balance of spicy and sweet) Like: rotisserie chicken; crispy chicken sandwich

Very disappointed. I had 3 friends that told me that the blackberry habanero margarita was the best margarita that they've ever had in their lives. Came in just to try it! It was absolutely horrible-- so sour that my friend and I both couldn't take more than a sip or two. The bartender added club soda, which made it somewhat bearable. Training should be consistent between bartenders. My friend and I ordered the goat cheese & arugula pizza. The crust, which is usually the worst part of the pizza-- was excellent! The rest of the pizza? Extremely underwhelming. It was pretty much all arugula, and zero toppings. We had about three dime sized pieces of goat cheese on the entire pizza, and it was topped with so much arugula that it looked like a salad. There were only 4 small dates on the entire pizza. If they weren't so skimpy on everything, it would've been really good, but you can tell that this place is on a budget and taking it out on the consumer. Only reason I'm giving three stars is because the bartender was really sweet & attentive, even though she butchered our drinks. I don't plan on going back and it's not worth the prices that they charge.

Food is so good!! Their chicken is wonderful. Only critique is my family and I sat near the the kitchen and could hear the manager yelling almost the entire time. Otherwise was a great experience and will be back!

Met my wife here a while back for a date night out since we had a break from the action of work and my son was hanging out at his friend's house. We decided to hit Green Hills area since she works close by there. Here was our experience in a nutshell... Ambiance: Great corner location and dedicated parking in a covered garage with No charge (which is HUGE here). Restaurant is slightly more upscale than the rest and was clean. Service: I arrived early and asked about old fashions - to which I was told that during happy hour they were two for one...I asked what bourbon they used and she told me that it was jim beam so I asked if there was another choice l. She kindly replied that yes they had a house rye but it was a $3 up charge. I kindly accepted to get away from JB and sipped the nice flavor and taste the the rye had. and then ordered another after my bride showed up and ordered a wine and her pizza. Food: Food was average and honestly the portions we ran all considering the price...but hey it is Green Hills so there's that. Price: Heavy for a pizza and chicken place...additionally when the bill was brought out she charged 2 old fashioneds and the up charge making it a $17 Old Fashioned and didn't give me the 2-1 happy hour special - but didn't tell me when i asked about the up charge if that voided the deal..she just assumed i didn't care....not the greatest way to honor your advertising nor the customer in this regard. Summary: Skip the entrees maybe and opt for an appetizer and maybe a cocktail if you can go during happy Hour - otherwise I'd probably see myself at a more upfront establishment for the evening. Not bad but the flavor was lost on the non communication and small portions for the price - so for me value is under water here... But......Keep Munching Y'All!!!

Doughbird is a fantastic addition to the Green Hills dining scene adding a solid menu of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and course rotisserie chicken dishes! In addition to the tasty food, the interior has great vibes with lots of wood and industrial/art chic fixtures, leather seating, a beautiful bar and lots of perfectly planted and manicured greenery. Now, down to why we flew in to Doughbird, pun intended...we came for the dough, not the bird this time. A regular Spicy Hawaiian and Detroit Style Sausage and Mushroom were the choices and neither disappointed. Both were delicious, but the Detroit-style took it home, at least for me. Perfectly crispy edges, gooey cheese, and hearty toppings without being too dense and overwhelming. The Spicy Hawaiian had a great balance of sweet and heat, with just enough kick to make you raise an eyebrow. Pricing for the pies is a bit high for the size, but I chalked it up to the fresh and well mapped out toppings and cheese...at least that is what I tell myself. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails. The Bourbon and Bells was it! I had the summer sangria was great, looking forward to additional seasonal drinks as well. If you're familiar with this area, you know parking can be a pain, so the attached garage is definitely a plus. Service was friendly, though a bit slower than expected. We visited during off-peak hours and still had a wait, which was a little surprising. Overall, we really enjoyed Doughbird and are glad to have a location here in Nashville. Vibe was great, relaxed but modern and playful feel that makes it great for a casual meal or cocktail, or date spot.

Acoustics bounce a bit in this restaurant
    Hana O.

This is located at a nice, upscale outdoor mall. It's right next to Anthropologie. The restaurant is across the street from the cafe where Taylor Swift used to play as a teen. Doughbird is quite popular, especially for large groups. It took a while for us to get our menus, as well as to get our food. The fried chicken I got had the perfect crunch and not oily or heavy. I felt the service was a bit slow, even though we went for an early dinner around 5pm. The waitress only came by once to refill our water. The high ceilings, hardwood floors, large windows and wood chairs made the acoustics horrible. It was very hard to hear the conversation from the person sitting 2 chairs away from me. We were a party of 5 so it wasn't a big table. I probably would go back but wouldn't be my go-to place.

While considering the menu our server mentioned at a lot of the dishes were big enough to share. With this we split the Harissa Caesar and the Roasted Chicken Wrap. Out of the two the Caesar was definitely giving clean eats. It had a good flavor and was well dressed but was still giving side salad energy for entree price. The roasted chicken wrap I was kind of disappointed by. It was mainly the fact that the chicken was extremely extremely under-seasoned and wasn't leaned well leading to fatty/gritty pieces to bite into. In the end I picked out the chicken and the wrap tasted a lot better with everything else inside. All in all, dinner options might be better than the lunch at this point. I'm curious enough to give Santo another go on another day.

She even went out of her way to get me a drink that had fallen off the menu a few weeks prior, a delightful cucumber spritz. The ambiance is awesome. As others have said, music isn't too loud, just pleasant in the background, so it would be ideal for having a conversation. The space is open, bright, light-filled, and stylish. Parking is in a private lot behind the restaurant and they validate parking for up to two and a half hours. I wish I could rave the same way about the food. While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!

It was a really nice day out so we had marked in our reservation that we wanted patio seating with a view. We were seated at a standard height half-booth table that did not have a view over the railing so it was kind of a waste. The booth material was also cracked/peeling along the seam so it was pinching my thighs (I was wearing a dress) and was uncomfortable. The food was just okay. It's definitely on the pricier side for brunch in Nashville, albeit probably in line for 12S. My partner's French toast was little burnt. The best thing was the truffle parm fries, but mainly because of the dipping sauce. I had the Beverly Club but it wasn't anything special and a little pricy for what it is. House made pickles on the sandwich were ok. Apple slaw was a good compliment to the buffalo chicken. Looks like they used the same breaded chicken that they use on the chicken parm for the buffalo chicken sandwich. Fries were good. Some very very hard and overcooked. Chicken parm was cooked well and the pasta was cooked well. One of my biggest pet peeves when out to dinner anywhere is keeping the drinks filled. We were told to stand in the back. After a few minutes it was evident we were "in the way." What appeared to be a manager asked us if we were on the list. I had not been asked for any information about a list. So.... we stood around for about fifteen minutes before we were even put on the list. What was supposed to be a ten minute wait turned into a twenty five minute wait. We went straight for the classic pepperoni and sausage. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside with a nice chew inside, and the pepperoni had that slightly spicy, savory kick that makes it hard to stop at just one slice. The sausage was finely ground and flavorful. The sauce leaned a little on the sweeter side, which balanced well with the salty toppings. I also had a Greek salad with prosciutto. It was very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and nearly uncomfortable due to the noise. Fredrick kept things moving quickly even with a busy crowd. He was awesome. Prices felt fair for the quality, and the portions were generous. Overall, a solid spot for pizza in Nashville--especially if you're craving a straightforward pepperoni pie done right.
