I've picked up pastries from Incredibly Delicious at the Springfield Farmer's Market. This weekend was the first time coming to their physical location in Downtown Springfield. The building is sooooo so so cute! Beautiful garden and outdoor seating area. Their croissants are to die for! We also tried their white chocolate raspberry coffee cake this weekend. Hands down...the best coffee cake I've ever had. If you're craving something sweet in Springfield, definitely make a stop here. It's perfect for whatever you're craving. And their daily lunch specials are always a delight and light... which is nice not feeling over stuffed and ready for a nap afterwards. The setting of the historic home, the ambience, the gustatory delights--it was all just lovely. When visiting a new city, it's the kind of place where you say: "If I lived here, I'd be here all the time." Seems you couldn't get any more authentic if you were stumbling into a little Parisian Patisserie. Hubby and I got the breakfast croissants and a couple of sweet treats for later. All delightful. They also offer China Mist iced tea, which had me over the moon, because it's one of my faves. Only places that GET iced tea carry it, and I could not have been happier to have that with my breakfast. It was too cold for us to sit outside, and they did a nice job spacing people out and assigning tables indoors. It's clearly a local fave, and I totally understand why. Driving by I wouldn't have known it was a restaurant; walking in my girlfriend and I were a bit lost but there are plenty of signs to guide you. Everything we got was fresh including the bread. I highly recommend getting something from the bakery. Definitely lives up to its name. read more

Large delightful innovative macaroons and coffee was what I had for breakfast here and I was quite content. They have a large array or baked goods- I tried a blueberry macaroon and a guava flavored one. They were both amazing. My friend had a salted Carmel and raspberry one and loves them as well. As usual, I had a tasty lunch with terrible service today. We ordered, took our dessert to the table and waited for a half-hour before I went back to the counter to ask what happened. The server looked up our order and said, "i put the nunber in front of you." Nobody handed either of us a number and I didn't notice that. She added, "you got your dessert." Ironically, another server was wearing a t-shirt that advised, "EAT DESSERT FIRST, " so I guess that was an instruction, not a slogan. I always grudgingly tip 15% when I order and then wish I could get a refund. And: now the portions are much smaller - the cup of soup really is a cup and the sandwich fits in one hand. I love the overall atmosphere of this place. The building is beautiful and the garden is great. The food is a little pricey but its to be excepted for freshly baked food. My only issue was that the wait staff seemed annoyed and the girl who brought my grandmother her soup spilled it on the table and on the plate without blinking an eye. It wasn't a lot but enough to take up both napkins we had been given. I drove 90 miles to Springfield from STL today because it has the closest Chase bank - I was really annoyed by this until I found this bakery/cafe! It really is Incredibly Delicious, by any standard. The quality of the food and baked goods here is on par with Schat's Bakery in Bishop, CA - and people drive hours from Los Angeles for Schat's. Incredibly Delicious is THAT good! I would certainly drive here from STL just for them. First of all, the place is adorable since it's in a full Victorian - style house! I had the Ham and Tomato quiche (best ever) and White Bean/Sausage/Something-I-can't remember Soup along with their bread (also amazing). Their quiche was full of flavor, you can tell they use very high quality ham and tomato. And their soup was also perfectly spiced! Growing up, my grandma used to always get a few slices of Incredibly Delicous's flourless chocolate cake for us when we visited. As a 4 year old, I declared it "The World's Best Chocolate Cake". 20 years and many cakes later, my opinion is unchanged. Whenever I visit Springfield, I make sure to stop by and grab some of their Chocolate chip cherry cookies and a slice of that glorious cake. Pretty good!!! Owners are great and the staff is so cute. When you can dine in, the atmosphere is just so happy it feels like sunshine. One time I had a slice of butter creme cake and there was just a little too much butter creme for everyone at the table, but still delicious! You can tell everything is made from scratch and has character. The flourless cake is a go-to, especially if you're gluten free!! We picked this place because of Yelp reviews and were NOT disappointed. Interior and exterior are gorgeous! We were slightly confused at first but figured out how to get to the counter where you order your food. My asparagus, roasted pepper and mozzarella quiche was very yummy, wonderful flavors. It came with a small salad and two slices of hard bread. My husband got a chicken salad sandwich which oddly enough was served on the same hard bread which made it challenging to eat, his tomato Florentine soup was tasty and helped make up for the disappointment of the sandwich. I got a custard tart topped with fruit, delicious custard and nice fresh fruit. Portions are a bit on the small size, as I post this review oh, it's been 3 hours or so since we ate and I'm hungry again. They offer outside seating which I bet would be delightful on a warmer day and the place is very family-friendly inside and out including a swing set near the seating area which would be delightful for harried moms and dads looking for a break from energetic kids. We stopped here for Breakfast this Morning on Our way for a Weekend trip to MO to see Family... Robert had a Morning Bun, Cheesecake Brownie, Quiche and Coffee. I had Avocado Toast topped with a Fried Egg over Easy, a Tiramisu and Coffee. It was the first time I had that Toast and it was Scrumptious. Patrick's middle Son Isaac waited on Us We told Him We knew Him as a Young Boy. He is now 20 years old and a very polite well mannered Young Man. I told Him We knew His Mom and He said "She was a real Sweetheart ". I told Issac His Mom would be very proud of Who He is. I told Him His Parents have done a very good job raising Their Children. I ordered a wedding cake and provided a photo on what I wanted it to look like. I had to pay extra to get it the way I wanted. The day of the wedding, I got the cake and it did not look like what I ordered at all. Furthermore, the outside of the cake was not edible, it tasted like shortening. I asked for buttercream. The inside of the cake was good, (white chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting) which is why I gave it a 3 out of 5. In sum, I'm disappointed. This review is for a cake that I ordered. I have not yet tried anything else here! Last year, I had forgotten to call and order my daughter's cake until it was almost too late. I called around but the only place willing to take my order was Incredibly Delicious. They were very kind over the phone and walked me through the process of ordering a lovely vanilla-and-chocolate-filled unicorn cake. When I picked it up, it was a little hard to find the front counter, but the staff was attentive and sweet! They showed me the cake and were very, very excited with me. Ordered the pesto grilled cheese with salad. The cost of the meal was 10.95 before tax. The sandwich you could barely see any cheese as seen in the pictures. The taste of the sandwich was good but wasn't a grilled cheese it was more of just a pesto sandwich. The salad was only lettuce and dressing. Not a single tomato, onion, crouton or anything. We visited this quaint and delightful restaurant while visiting my best friend in Springfield, Illinois. The restaurant is located inside an old mansion so there are several areas where you can dine or just have coffee and a pastry. The motif is French and the ambience is relaxing, fun, and sophisticated. I enjoyed looking at the wood fixtures, walls, and decorations. The place had a French County feel. There are several entrances with a beautiful flower garden at the side entrance. You are greeted with wonderful fragrances of French breads, coffee, etc. The host and servers were welcoming and friendly. They really helped set the mood. I ordered a chicken salad croissant sandwich with French coffee and a pastry. The croissant was fresh and buttery. The coffee and pastry outstanding. The Abraham Lincoln museum is nearby as well as many other historic sites. It was wonderful spending time with loved ones, and I plan to return later this year. read more

No clue why I never tried this place earlier. Probably because on their website the last time I checked they listed an array of quiches for breakfast and I am not a quiche fan. They have delicious parfaits, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, etc. The wait will be a long time unless you get something pre made but it's delicious. Quaint French bakery, cafe, and brunch spot in a beautiful Victorian era house, and the food lives up to its name. We came here for brunch and ordered an egg croissant and Croque Madam. The egg croissant was absolutely delicious! It had egg, avocado, a wonderfully flaky croissant, and a slightly sweet dried tomato spread. The macaroons are also great here! I had the pistachio macaroon with a cup of well-roasted Americano. Only downside was that they were somehow out of ketchup which I wanted for my Croque Madam potatoes. Otherwise fantastic brunch!
