Caffeine customized to your liking. On a day when I had to drop my car off at the tire shop for new tires, Emily and I took that as an invitation to go out of town for an afternoon. We headed out to Springfield since neither of us had been down there for awhile. First stop was... Custom Cup Coffee to get us caffeinated for an afternoon of shenanigans. We dropped in to a cozy little coffeehouse. This place had been on my list for awhile and on the way down, I gave Em a list of local coffee places we can try and this is the one that she picked and what a great choice it was. I got my usual Americano and Emily got the Beekeeper. Along with my love of coffee, I do love stickers and grabbed a giant one for $4 and the barista hooked us up with some free little ones. Score! They do have a small food menu, too, if you come here and need something to compliment your caffeinated drink. I usually look around and snap a few photos while waiting but I barely got turned around before my drink was being called out. That's the fastest I've ever gotten an Americano. Emily's drink was not far behind. Granted we had no one in front of us when we ordered, it was Jimmy Johns level of freaky fast. We were going to sit outside but they were putting up their outside furniture for some reason so we took a seat inside. This Americano was spot-on for what I crave when I want one. Not only was it tasty but for being 20oz, it somehow lasted me until we walked over to Buzz Bomb Brewing Co. and I started drinking a beer. Emily was in love with her latte and let me have a little sip and wow... it was delicious. It was no surprise that she finished her drink in half the time it took me to finish mine. All in all, Custom Cup Coffee had super friendly baristas, a quaint and cozy interior with a little bit of seating and super delicious coffee. read more

Coffee is excellent. Discount if you bring your own cup. There aren't a lot of pastries but their cinnamon rolls are the best in town. They have energy balls for a healthy gluten free snack. Friendly service. They also have a few lunch items that you can add extras for a reasonable price. read more

The decor of the place is very nice - clean, simple, and lots of gnomes :) The latte's all seemed delicious (and it was). I think i had some seasonal lavender one which was pretty great. I also had their nut bar which was very filling and delicious as well. My partner on the other hand tried their matcha and sadly, we both thought it was sort of lacking. While their espresso based lattes were good, the matcha latte seemed....off. I think the biggest issue is that they dont seem to whisk their matcha - which makes it clumpy as you drink it. This also causes the milk to not mix well with the matcha (and/or water used to whisk). Besides the matcha, everything was pretty great! read more

What a fantastic find in Springfield. In town for an event and staying nearby. Found the place thru here and was not disappointed. Egg sandwich and bakery items were delicious and the iced Americano was good enough to grab a second cup to go. Seating is limited so have a backup plan if you want to meet a friend for coffee. Staff is very friendly. Bummed tomorrow they are closed due to the parade downtown though I grabbed some more muffins to go to hold us over. read more

I I love supporting local places but we're from out of town. We saw this on the way to our hotel and decided to give it a try! When we walked in the place was so cute and smelled delicious. Hands down the best coffee shop in town! I'm a major customer cup fan from day one. They roast their beans on site. They have the best cold brew in town as well as an amazing standard cup of coffee (idk how they make it taste so great in store but I swear I can't do it at home and I've tried multiple brewing methods) each new roast truly captures a unique flavor profile. Their espresso drinks are great as well - especially the strawberry milk latte! They also offer breakfast sandwiches and a variety of fresh baked goods - my favorites are the cinnamon roll, jimmy sticks scone, cheese bagel with jimmy stick cream cheese, and the biscuit with jam (not as boring as it sounds because the jam out out of this world!!) read more

This place is perfect for a quick coffee pickup on the way to work. They brew multiple varieties of coffee (light or dark, robust or mild) that are available in drip or pour-over serving styles. The coffee is roasted in-house and you can buy a bag of the beans to brew at home. The guy working the counter is super friendly and explained that they plan to put some sidewalk seating outside once the weather turns around. The shop just opened in November, but they've been roasting and serving at the Springfield farmers' market for a while. As someone who drinks most of my coffee black, Custom Cup is perfect. They make a darn good cup of black coffee at an affordable price. I tried their Costa Rica brew and it was a dream. Certainly not a favorite place to get coffee in town. Furthermore, I waited for quite a while in line to order a simple light roast coffee. I stood in line for about 20mins, and there were only 3 people in front of me! Mind you, I saw what they ordered and it's not like they ordered something in dephtly complicated. The selections are pretty limited. This is my second time coming here and I highly doubt I would come a third time. (I tried to give it a chance.) I ended up not ordering because they took such a long time, I also was never acknowledge. Not one person behind the counter made a comment nor said just a moment or hello, etc. They certainly saw me because eye contact was made. There are several [local] coffee shops in this area. Blown away by their customer service today! I'd been hearing about CC for a while and had never made my way over. They were out at the Farmer's Market this Saturday and appeared to be doing really well! Almost every couple or adult group walking around had a cold press (they should definitely have some custom cups with their names displayed for the free publicity while everyone is strolling! Pun intended). Anyway--all smiles. Super knowledgeable. And an amazing cup of joe! Making it a staple and kicking myself for taking so long to support this amazing local small business.
