I've gone from telling everyone about this place to being reluctant to recommend. I have eaten here 4x in the past year, and every time I walk away disappointed. The chicken avocado sandwich used to be the bomb, but they have cut corners, and it's now just "ehhh". I tried two different paninis yesterday, and then both were pretty blah. I don't mind paying $13 for a sandwich if it's good, but the sandwiches here have lost their taste and pizzazz. It makes me sad because I used to really enjoy having lunch here.

Since it was the first time there, we also wanted to see what other items I had for sale.We waited 5 to 7 minutes behind the car in the outside lane as there were cars in both lanes. THe first lane car left, so we were still behind the second lane. Other cars started coming in filling up both lanes. The lady outside taking orders skipped over us altogether and started waiting on everybody else. We tried reaching out to 7 brew and nobody will return calls. Poor customer service all around.

On Wednesday 9/3/25, my husband had a meeting planned with another party who requested to meet at Starbucks on Morton Ave., as chain coffee shops are known to be a safe and public place for meetings such as these to take place. This meeting was to occur at 3:30 pm and by 3:50 my husband had been told that he needed to leave the premises since he did not order anything yet. This is outrageous and I would like to know if every single individual who enters the store is told to leave if they have not purchased anything within 20 minutes. While I can understand needing seats for paying customers, this was not the case in this circumstance and I feel that kicking out a uniformed service-member is a gross misjudgment.

I would have driven off if I hadn't been stuck behind someone else...who didn't have a large order either. Like others, I have been there mid afternoon and ordered something as simple as sweet tea only to be told that their are 'out of it' or that 'we stop making it after 3'. Been told on multiple occasions that they are out of donuts at a time when that shouldn't be an issue. I can see it happening 7 pm, but not in the morning. Also, posted hours are worthless! You say you open at 5 am and you are still dark at 5:30?

I recently ran out of beans and came across Flora Roasting. Honestly, Springfield Illinois has little to offer in the way of specialty...anything. And what little shops they have, they're awful. So, it was a pleasant surprise when I received a bag of their Ethiopian coffee and it was actually delicious. Finally, I found a company worth recommending here.
