Really happy this store is nearby in Carmichael! Friendly and kind staff who clearly love pets and animals. Their self-serve dog wash is awesome - so convenient, very well stocked and organized, and also very affordable. You truly don't need to make such a large mess in your own home - this place is totally worth it. Warm water with a long enough hose, plenty of dog shampoo choices, brushes, clean/dry towels, and even a warmed animal blow dryer which was really efficient! They also have a few doggy treats to share with your pup while they're getting situated. The washing stations are at waist level, so you're not bent over - everything about this was so well designed and I'm never washing my dog at home again. =) I didn't get a chance to check out the rest of the store, but it seemed well stocked with plenty of multi-pet options, with friendly staff that is standing by to answer questions. I was so glad we found this place. We were driving in the area, visiting a friend, and took our dog, Max with us. He got into a huge mud puddle, and we didn't have enough towels to get him clean. Our friend wasn't home, but we came across Incredible Pets. They got him all cleaned up, and even trimmed his nails for us! The manager, Nicole was really helpful and gave us tips for Max's grooming. I've been going to this pet store for years, and the last two visits have been absolutely unacceptable. The decline in cleanliness, professionalism, and basic customer care has become impossible to ignore. During my previous visit, there were no customers in the store and four employees total. NONE of the three tubs were clean -- all of them were dirty and piled with wet towels. Meanwhile, the employees were all standing at the front register chatting. Not one of them was cleaning or preparing the wash area. Only after I started washing my dog did an employee decide to clean the tub directly behind me. The chemical smell was extremely strong, and he drenched the entire floor and surrounding tubs with chemicals. The area filled with steam and both me and my dog were forced to inhale the chemical fumes while I was actively washing my dog. It was unsafe and completely unnecessary. Fast forward to today. I couldn't even get through the front door because a customer had a dog well over 100 lbs being held by a child who could not have been older than seven. Once inside, they weren't accepting card payments, and they had absolutely no towels available. I went to the back to wash my dogs, and even though I paid, the woman and her two children back there with their one dog had taken ALL the aprons and two of the three available scrubbers. Again, there were no towels and no conditioner. Nothing available. The tubs don't latch, and the gate that's supposed to prevent dogs from getting out was left open -- by customers AND employees. The children were running around the wet area while their dad shopped, and at one point they fell in the cramped space and hit my dog in the tub. Neither the woman nor any employee did anything about it. While the dog wash area was already full and chaotic, the manager still allowed another customer with two large dogs to come back and wait, bringing the total to six dogs -- four of them big -- all stressed and reacting to each other. It was an absolute mess, and on top of that, the employees were trying to get me to give up my other tub to these people. It's first come, first serve, and that was not going to happen. The manager should never have continued letting customers in to pile up in the back during unsafe conditions. The entire time I was washing my dogs, I had the water turned all the way to hot and it was ICE cold. When I finished, I went to the front to ask who the manager was. I was met with attitude immediately. The older Black woman working snapped "I'm the manager every day." When I asked who her manager was, she said the owner, since they're a small business. Again -- nothing but attitude. I was doing everything I could to stay calm since I work in customer service myself and understand how uncomfortable complaints can be. I even told her that. But instead of listening, she cut me off, talked over me, and immediately started making excuses -- "It was the holidays," "We were shorted on towels," "We had a break-in." She didn't even hear the issue before jumping to excuses. There was no "shortage" of towels -- there was a huge pile of mildew-covered towels sitting in the back, unwashed. And while I sympathize with the fact they were broken into, that has NOTHING to do with the employees failing to maintain the wash area, failing to close gates, or creating unsafe conditions for customers and pets. Their break-in was at the registers only, and had no effect on business practices. She offered no solutions, no accountability, nothing. And apparently this is the only manager they have. I've been coming here for years, but recently it has become dirty, unprofessional, unsafe, and a hazard to customers and their pets. They've never cared for the animals in the store, and they charge more for products than other retailers. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I'm not supporting unsafe, unsanitary conditions and nasty customer service. She eventually gave me a card with an 800 number for "the owner," and even that she couldn't find without going to the back. I had to ask her to connect my $45 purchase to my account. So if you're the ONLY manager, maybe they need to get a new one because youre doing a TERRIBLE job. They're the closest to my house, but from now on I'll be driving to Folsom to Sbarkles. Not only are they friendly, but their products aren't watered down, their wash stations actually work, and everything is clean. Such a shame. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

We went to bathe our 2 doodle puppies in their self-serve dog wash. We had never tried one of these before. The staff were so helpful. They ran back and checks that it was clean from their last customer and well stocked. Time to update my review. I do like to shop at Incredible Pets as they are one of the only Pet Store that carries my Dog's brand of food. The customer service has improved slight but I hate that they follow like your going to steal or something, it just gets a little creepy. I love the selection of cat and dog treats and when they have there twice and year sale I'm always stocking up the prices can't be beat. Incredible pets has almost always had my business. I used to come to this location a lot and now sometimes I'll pop in if I'm in that side of town. The staff here is ok I guess but a little over bearing. They can be a little pushy if that's what you call it by kind of following you around asking over and over if you need help. Can be a good thing but gets a little overwhelming. Incredible pets has healthier dog food and way more selection than petsmart or petco, however at this location I feel they treat everyone like they don't trust them. They also have love little critters and birds for sale and seem to somehow keep the place neat and clean. This location seems to be a bit smaller but they have almost everything packed in here so it is a little cramped but they still do carry almost about everything you can think of for your little Animal friend. We started going to this place to wash our dogs during the colder months when we can't do it outside. The staff is so helpful and kind. We had an issue with another dog there off leash, making our dog stressed and he was barking and making a scene, and they jumped in to help right away (letting us leave thru the back door, making sure the other dog was leashed asap, etc). My family and I have been frequenting Incredible Pets for two years now, and don't do any of our pet shopping anywhere else. Their prices are very reasonable, many times even better than what their big-box competitors are offering. We have even purchased small animals there, and have had no health problems with them as can often occur when the same breeds are purchased from the big-box stores. I think much of this is due to the fact that IC deals with reputable breeders within the community for the sale of their animals. From the first time we walked in, we were made to feel welcome, offered help, and from then on remembered. No, they're not as big a big-big pet store -- but they are well stocked with plenty of high-quality products for all sorts of pets, and they have a price match guarantee. More important, they have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped us choose the perfect dry food for the pup: It's got ideal, healthy ingredients you would find in a more expensive high-end dog food, but it's reasonably priced because it's made in No. Calif. so there aren't high shipping costs tacked on. One of the employees there also reiterated what we were told at the SPCA: That dogs really shouldn't have rawhide chews because they can wreak have on their stomachs. They suggested a perfect alternative, and our dog loves it. This place isn't all about dogs by any means, though: They have supplies for just about any kind of pet (perhaps not hippos); they also sell various kinds of animals -- but to their credit, not farm-bred kittens and cats. I feel obliged to report the SELF SERVE DOG WASH: I have used it for about 3 years, and for about a year now the ramp up into the wash has an exposed screw that may cut your pet's paws if you don't cover it up with your shoe. I've asked SEVERAL TIMES that they fix this problem, telling them there is a hardware store on the same strip where they could purchase a rounded screw top/nut for it, but all on deaf ears. So sorry that I can't bring my dogs here to wash anymore because apparently they don't care about your dog's safety. So sad. read more

So disappointed... not only was the customer service terrible, the whole experience was. Perhaps this is because I had higher expectations from the Greenhaven Incredible Pet store. Which was my go-to pet store that I would frequent almost weekly between my 4 pets. I would use the self grooming station and always was a pleasant outing for myself and the two pups... as bathing dogs can usually be a nightmare. The store manager was always so pleasant and helpful, when I told her I was moving she highly recommended the Incredible Pets near Fair Oaks, and since my experience was always so positive, I didn't mind the 18 minute drive from my house. I arrived, and wasn't greeted. I informed the sales associate I made an appointment to bathe my dogs but had never been to this location before. I barely got any direction of where to go, and when I pretty much figured it out and saw the grooming station, I wanted to turn around and leave. There was one station tightly tucked in a corner behind a wall so I couldn't see who was approaching as I am attempting to bathe my dogs. There were no hooks or clasps set up to secure my dogs while bathing. Everything was messy, I was barely able to fit my large dog in this space, with no equipment to secure either pup. There was a large rack directly behind the wash station, supplies were falling, and my dogs were scared. I went through with the baths anyways, that were very difficult as the dogs were climbing out and there was no gate to secure them behind in the bathing area. After the baths, I found out the dryer had no heating element. Needless to say I left with wet dogs. As I approached the counter to pay I was not asked how anything was. I will never be returning to this location as I was SO dissatisfied with their grooming station and customer service. read more

Amazing and knowledgeable staff here. Darcy, an employee at this store was super helpful and kind, and knowledgeable about animals. She helped us tremendously, and we are very thankful for her. The staff and healthy food options for pets is the reason I continuously have shopped here for years. The only thing I really dislike about incredible pets is that they sell feeder mice, which is incredibly sad and cruel. Which is why I will not give five stars.I have contemplated not supporting this store anymore because of this, we will see. I have started to rescue some of the feeder mice, so they don't have to endure a cruel and tumultuous death at a young age. It's sad, I wish I can save them all. I started shopping at this location when it first opened. It's a small shop but often has a lot of small furry animals, birds, fish and reptiles. There is almost everything you need here, however it is kind of expensive like at a lot of smaller shops. There was one visit when I first started coming to the shop when I asked the sales girl if I could hold a larger rat. She pulled the rat out (not telling me it was a feeder and was never handled before) and gave it to me. Needless to say the rat freaked out and jumped out of my hands in hysterics and took off behind the glass cages. I was pretty upset. I have gotten some good information on pet care here; however unless there is a specific animal or fish I am looking for I only visit this location to buy crickets (especially if I am grocery shopping next door.) read more

MORE LIKE INDELIBLE PETS. Used to go here weekly. They were the only store in the Sacramento area at the time that carried felidae (Fancy cat food) They also had live bloodworms for my newts. The employees were very friendly when I first started coming in. Over time it seemed like when I walked in they knew I was likely only getting bloodworms and possibly cat food not any of their severely over-priced other items so they would ignore me. There were multiple times when the store was empty and I had to wait 15 minutes or more to get help, sometimes with multiple employees in the store. I finally had enough when one of the owners was rude as hell to me. The attitude flies here regularly. Never EVER again. Also, their "reward" program is a total joke. We're in the internet age and there's stores like Western Feed and Bradshaw Feed. This place is garbage compared to any of those options. read more

This store has some really great products and usually nice informative people. We love the raw food and treat selection as our dogs have several health issues. They have a customer loyalty program and frequently give out cool coupons that make you want to come in and buy more. The only problem we have experienced is with a much older woman who works there. She isn't knowledgeable about the products, gets a bit rude, and seems to have a hard time doing her job.
