This place was recommended to me by a friend (noted to be her favorite place for peruvian food in westchester/fairly similar to food back home in peru for her) and I loved it. The star was the seafood - so fresh & delicious. We got it 3 ways through the arriba peru platter (paella, cerviche & fried). If you don't know what the get (since the menu is so extensive), this is a great place to start. Each dish on the platter is like an entree or at the very least, a large appetizer of its own. If you want something non seafood, the lomo saltado that we got was yummy as well - we got it over causa (tasted like mashed potato). For a non alcoholic drink, the peruvian purple corn drink was sweet & refreshing! Really nice to try this place out. The woman who took the order on the phone was really helpful with recommendations. The fried non-sweet plaintains were really good - crispy even in the takeout container. The two empanadas I got were also nicely put together, both the sirloin and the carné. I had wished that I had gotten one non-meat version. The Incas potatoes were really cool - cooked to perfection, a cold dish. Three different flavors with three different colors. The fried sirloin steak with rice and french fries were puzzling - in the takeout container the steak sauce was absorbed by the french fries (rendering them non-crispy). Should have been in a separate container, the fries. The sirloin was a bit tough, though it was very flavorful. The star of the meal was the seafood soup, which came with a clam, some shrimp (those were too tough), and some nicely textured calamari, none of which were tough at all. The steak was flavorful but too chewy for my taste. The plantains were just okay, and I'm usually a plantain lover. Decided to have dinner with a friend today and headed to this lovely Peruvian place. The restaurant is very clean, good amount of seating and plenty of space between the tables. We Liked their menus as they use tablets instead of papers, but felt they lack to provide a full description for some their plates instead of just pictures. As this would help people with food allergies and new people experience their Peruvian food. We order the traditional drink Chicha Morada, it was good and for started we had the Papa a la Huancaina which was very good and Causa Rellena with Tuna, we found it to be super salty. We then had a Lomo Saltado which I loved (a bit salty for me) and could not finish it all and my friend had the Pollo Saltado which she found it to be a bit salty as well. I am Peruvian and been reducing my salt intake, perhaps I should start to ask to make it less salty in the future. We had a nice experience, the waitress was nice, it took a bit longer to order our food, but our food did come out quick. There is plenty of meter parking in the area. I would say, this is one of best Peruvian places I have eating in White Plains. Also this was my friend first experience eating Peruvian Food and she did love it, with the exception of the salt. Inca Gaucho gave us a great meal for a great price. The restaurant was busy, mostly locals South Americans patrons. Shortly after we sat down our waiter who spoke perfect English brought us warm bread with some excellent chimichurri sauce and some very spicy and delicious " green" sauce. He was very attentive thru out, thumbs up. I ordered the sweetbreads, done crispy, pipping hot and well seasoned with some tostones to die for. My husband ordered the skirt steak, he loved it, grilled rare and well seasoned. We will most definitely go back and try more of the delicious food. Finally tried this place after passing by the establishment, with curiosity, for years. I had dinner at a former Mexican restaurant in the same location many years ago and never wished to return, but Inca & Gaucho is SO much better! Ceviche that is plentiful and delicious, some of the best mussel apps I have ever had, and flavorful fried rice, saltados, chicharron, and so much more. Attentive service, that sometimes dragged on the slow side, but totally worth the wait. Sangria was OK - wished they had offered a white option in addition to the red. Found this restaurant on Yelp for Peruvian food. I love their food and I brought my mom here for Mother's Day. Unfortunately that turned out to be a mistake. We were told it will be about 40 minutes or so for a table which I was ok with given the occasion. I knew there was going to be a wait time. Once we were seated, it was downhill from there. The table was very wobbly and small for 4 people. The waiter came over shortly thereafter. He was very friendly. He took our drink order and we then put in for apps at that time. The drinks came over soon after but we waited almost an hour for the apps to come. I flagged our waiter over to ask what the problem was and he basically shrugged his shoulders. The proper thing to do was to find out from the kitchen how long it would be. He just didn't care. We also had the table next to us complaining about the same issue. For a day like Mother's Day, management should have all hands on deck knowing how busy it would be. Don't know if it was a staff shortage or just that the staff simply don't care about customer satisfaction. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. Food is good, but unethical staff and poorly run. A couple of months back I attended dinner here with my wife, another couple, and our 2 year old daughter. Something we've probably done there 20 times the past few years. The bill came out to $277. When I received the check I saw the tip chart in big font and bolded. I proceed to tip 20% (so $55). When I looked at the receipt the next day I notice the tip chart is based off the post tax amount (uncustomary or possibly illegal but not that big a deal in comparison to my other issues). The bigger issues were them quietly burying 18% auto gratuity into the itemization of the check (unsurprisingly no big bolded letters here), and for a group of 4 (5 if you count a 2 year old)...which is something I have never seen there or anywhere for a party that small in the thousands of restaurants I've been to over the years. The waiter also conveniently didn't circle, highlight, or tell me gratuity was already included (which is also customary) and also didn't say anything after looking at the check and noticing over $85 in tips (and they would have had the time to tell us as we stuck around for a little bit after that). You add that all up and you get what? Just one bad apple making the restaurant look bad. If I hadn't had similar experiences with them the past 6-9 months then I could let it go with that logic but that isn't the case. There are consistent unprofessional, dirty, and potentially illegal things going on there. Let me explain in more detail-- On the occasion I talk about above, I called the restaurant and asked for the manager and they said the mgr. wasn't there. When I asked for the name of the mgr. they tried to deflect and ask how they can help. After I asked for the name for the 5th time he relented and gave it to me but fairly sure it was a lie so if I don't get a call back and try calling again I sound like an idiot who doesn't know what I'm talking about asking for someone who doesn't exist. "Are you sure you have the right restaurant sir?", so I asked him to take my number down and have her give me a call back. When he said he completed taking down the number I was fairly confident he wasn't writing it down so I asked him to repeat it and sure enough, he couldn't. I called him out on this but said some other lie that made no sense to explain away why he said that and didn't do it. Sure enough, no call back. I can call again but the same thing will happen, or drive down there and someone will present themselves as the mgr. (when they aren't), tell me they will fix it, and blow me off again. Somehow they think there slick but not even close to it and not my first rodeo dealing with lowlifes. I know what one person doing wrong looks like vs. a systematic approach to it. The later being what is going on there. Either under the nose of management, or with their participation. I told my wife I'm done with them after similar issues like this tending to happen every other time we go there.....and if I keep going there the next thing you know I'll start getting fraudulent charges showing up on my card. Not worth that headache for some good food. Can get good food from many places. Writing this extremely blunt (but also extremely honest and detailed account of what goes on there) since it appears payback isn't going to come in the form of an apology and would have to question if the person providing it was even who they say they are. I always love coming here, the food is so delicious and tastes super fresh. Came here last night for my mom's birthday dinner and the staff was so pleasant and friendly. We arrived a bit late and ended up staying a bit later, but we did not feel rushed at all. Also, they were so accommodating and even put the super bowl on the TVS when we asked if it was possible. What I love about that restaurant is that they make combinations so you can try ceviche and something else... they should make a lomo-viche! Unfortunately, I can't go back to this restaurant again. I love Peruvian food but I have gotten sick twice here. This last time I contracted a virus (Norovirus). Additionally, the person in charge was not friendly and gave us the check 30 minutes after we arrived because the restaurant got busy. This was New Year's Eve. Very disappointed at the service by the person in charge ( not the waitress she was actually sweet) and their health standards. It's the second time I get a virus from eating there. read more

I went to Inca & Gaucho yesterday for dinner with hubby for the first time. We were looking for a new Peruvian restaurant to go and we found this place thanks to Yelp And Wow, we ordered the Fish Ceviche, Leche de Tigre, Anticuchos and Passion Fruit Pisco Sours. Let me start by saying as soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. Waiter was very attentive and polite, he came to check on us the whole time we were there. We ordered Passion fruit Pisco Sours and they were served in a chilled glass and it was SO good. Then we ordered a fish ceviche and Leche de Tigre. The fish was fresh, flavor and juice was on point , the traditional way and it was excellent. It was like eating a ceviche back home and I'm Peruvian. So I extremely satisfied. It's hard to find a restaurant that makes good ceviche but this place exceeded my expectations. Lastly we ordered the Anticuchos de corazón, so tasty, loved the hot sauces that came with it. Overall my experience was excellent and I can't wait to be back. !!! read more

We found the service to be perfect we went in and out within an hour and a half and that's because we kept talking not because of the service. The food was delicious and prepared exactly the way we expected it. I will definitely make this my once a week place. Yes it's that good. Came here based on recommendation of friend. Overall 4.5 experience. It was busy at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Food was delicious and portions generous. Our group had the grilled steak platter, mixed seafood tacu tacu, arroz con mariscos and mixed seafood ceviche. I would give the food 5 stars...the arroz con mariscos and mixed seafood tacu tacu and ceviche had loads of calamari, shrimp, crab and mussels. The seafood in the ceviche was very fresh. The rice and beans were interesting - they were mixed together and then pan fried (?) so it had a crispy exterior and some seasoning on it that I'm not sure what it was but it was delicious. The steak was undercooked for what we requested but they happily took it back and cooked it more. I would give service 4 stars. The staff was friendly. Our group has food allergies and intolerances so we had a lot of questions about gluten and dairy. On their menu, it states to let the waitstaff know if we have food allergies or diet restrictions so figured they are attentive to those who have dietary restrictions. The staff had to keep leaving to ask the kitchen what is gluten free and dairy free. In the end we got our answers but it took a bit of time to sort it out. They didn't have beer to serve us for lunch so we got wine. Would definitely recommend to others and return for another meal. read more

Gave this place a try and was not disappointed with the food but definitely with their ventilation system because it smelled like heavy fish upon walking in almost a slap in the face. One of my favorite meals has to be lomo de pollo and they cooked it to perfection. The people were piling in. The service was okay. The chicha morada drink was amazing. As for the food.. below is what I ordered: Tostones - They were decent. Chicharrón de pollo - Not at all what I thought they would look like or taste. I guess I'm used to the cubes from other places. These looked like thick calamari (or thinner chicken fingers). They tasted ok. Fries - came with the chicharrón. They were decent. Tacutacucon Churasco - the Peruvian style rice with beans were awesome! But the steak was really bland. Nice size cut though. Meat Empanadas- I thought it was going to be ground beef for some reason but it was small chunks of bland meat. It was ok. They gave me 3 small containers that had something that looked like a salad - 2 pieces of lettuce and some red onions. The little sauces, salsa and green spicy garlic were pretty good. One word....DELICIOUS! You know it's going to be good when you walk in and all of the patrons are Peruvian! The staff is all Peruvian also and extremely knowledgeable. We ordered the trio ceviche and it was amazing. If you don't like olive flavor you may not like the olive choice. We also got a chicken and beef empanadas and they were great. They bring bread with an amazing green mildly spiced sauce for dipping and it was great. There is fantastic parking on the street and a lot right next to the restaurant. I'm peruvian and since I found this spot, i order once a month. So far it's my favorite peruvian food restaurant in westchester. I've stuck with the "Inca" menu and never had the seafood but here are my top 5: 1. The best dish so far is the tacu tacu with lomo or chicken saltado. Very tasty, consistently great all around every time. Be prepared for a salty dish though. 2. Ocopa is very flavorful. It wavers between extremely delicious to good some days (may be the chef). Even on those days, it's good. I still I order it every time. 3. The aji de gallina is solid. It's hard to compare against to the best one in Peru but likely the best in the westchester area. 4. The chicken/beef soups are good. 5. Empanadas are fried, not baked like in Peru but i've learned to get over it. Some times are great. Some times the saulteed chicken filling is a bit dry, but not terrible so I still order it for my husband, he pours in the spicy sauce and it's pretty much fixed. The chicha seems homemade, which means you might get the sandy stuff at the bottom. I've only done delivery and the staff has always been very responsive and accommodating. They call right away when they ran out of something. My husband doesn't eat seafood or red meat but loves peruvian food so sometimes we have creative asks and the staff has always been great at working with us. When they've had to tell us they can't do something, they work with us on alternatives. read more
