Stumbled upon this place while looking for Colombian breakfast. The menu was varied with all normal Colombian offerings, including calentado. Dining room is spacious and service is prompt. They apparently have evening/night programs that I'll be sure to return and experience.

the dead fly in my drink

the food was great and all also the service and time on bringing the food, what i was really disappointed and disgusted is when i order one of the juices called lemonade, i found a dead bug and also a strain of hair in my beverage.

Very disappointed - I ordered to go and when I got home noticed they packed my order burned (breaded chicken). I wish I opened the bag and checked before I left the place. If there is a next time, I will have to check before I pay. It was horrible to get home and ready to eat then realized the food was burned.

We were recommended this place by a Colombian friend and he raved about this place and its authenticity. I'm glad we were told about this place I'm sure we will order from here again. My father went to pick up the food and he said one day we should go and eat at the restaurant because it looks so nice and the ambience was great. We ordered so much food and still didn't eat it all. The quantity is large and the flavors are wonderful. Really tasted like food straight from Colombia. I highly recommend and will plan to go and sit down to eat at this restaurant very soon!

Staple Colombian Food that is fresh, consistently executed and delicious. The baked goods here are delicious and the buñelo are perhaps the best I've ever had. The staff is always polite and prompt. Stop in and enjoy!

My first time ordering from here, and am so pleased! Bistek encebollado had great flavors! Beans were excellent. You get a choice between tostones or maduros. We got one of each. Biggest tostones ive seen in a while! Huge piece of tres leches. Everything was super fresh. The presentation and delivery packaging were superb! The portions are generous. The delivery was fast! Will be ordering again!

My favorite spot for Colombian food. Great bread and coffee. Buñuelos are out of this world. Willing to accommodate my dietary needs (pescatarian). Great service, staff very attentive. Highly recommend the seafood. Does tend to get busy on the weekends. Highly recommended.

Here's a polished Yelp-ready version that keeps it warm and genuine:…read more We've lived in White Plains for almost 10 years, and last night we finally tried Colombian House for the first time--we're so glad we did! The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, with generous portion sizes. We especially appreciated that the menu included photos, which made it so much easier to decide what to order. The staff could not have been nicer. Several members of the management team stopped by our table throughout the evening to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our experience. Service was quick and attentive, and the ambience is beautiful--warm, inviting, and a great place for dinner. Our only critique was the chicharrón, which was quite dry and chewy and didn't seem as fresh as the rest of the meal. Everything else was excellent. So happy we finally checked this place out after all these years. We'll definitely be back!

Just got in town...wandering around for a lunch spot and saw Columbia House...quickly checked…read more"Yelp" of course...and based on reviews it was a go. Besides almost every table full at 1:15 lunch...including the back room and it is a large restaurant. We were seated without a wait. Took longer to navigate the huge menu. Hubby and I just wanted a light lunch. He ordered the chicken wings and I ordered the "fish" sandwich w/o cheese. Unfortunately, I was served the chicken sandwich not the requested fish sandwich. It still came with avacado, onions, tomato and lettuce. (No cheese as requested). Once I took a bite I realized I had the wrong sandwich. I was disappointed. Waiter apologized and offered to switch it up...I can see he felt bad and we were not quite sure where we both messed up...could have been me? Him? Not a big deal...I just kept it and enjoyed. Chicken was slighty dry (cheese would have fixed the dryness) but seasoned perfectly. It was a large sandwich with two layers of thin grilled chicken. I would split it next time. I like the way it was served...wrapped in a paper. I requested un-seasoned fries and my request was honored. It was all a generous portion. The restaurant is high energy, food around us all looked delicious and fresh, cocktails looked really good...I wanted to taste the cappuccino martini next to us...tempting to order one. Service was timely, friendly and efficient. Noise level a tad high however it was easy enough to carry on a conversation. Overall, I understand the reason this place was so busy...definately a solid fun place...wish it were on my neighborhood as I enjoy exploring different dishes. Thumbs up for sure.

When we went to this restaurant a few weeks ago, it had the name Makondo, not Pantojarse…read more The environment in Makondo was welcoming and warm, with a mural of los cafeteros that immediately lets you know you're in Colombia. There is a take-away area at the front where you can purchase breads, arepas, and other easily portable foods, in addition to the tables and seating area in the back of the restaurant. We opted to dine-in for breakfast and try a variety of plates: calentado, arepa con chicharron, morcilla, and bunuelos. The calentado transported me back to Medellin and, honestly, it kept me full for the entire day. The morchilla, arepas, and chicharrones were cooked to perfection and we were provided with a variety of sauces to add an extra boost of flavor. Absolutely everything was delicious and the prices are incredibly reasonable when compared with the other breakfast restaurants in the area. The service was very friendly and attentive. Most of the clients spoke Spanish, including us, but we did hear them speaking English with a few tables that morning. This restaurant is a little piece of Colombia in White Plains and brings some much needed diversity (and flavor!) to the regular breakfast scene in this city.

I spat something out and it was a tiny hard rock. Before I went to wash my mouth I felt sand. As I was looking at my empanada after, I found the other half of the rock I bit into. I then saw my tooth was chipped. I couldn't sleep that night from thinking how disgusting this situation was. I called Noches de Columbia when that happened and they only offered one empanada but my trust for them was lost. The second time I called they said how it was just a rock, basically implying that it was not a big deal. They didn't see why I was upset and didn't apologize. The owner got mad at me for being upset about this situation. Both times I've called they weren't professional and instead rude.
