Place is great. I missed Columbian food that I always have in Corona Queens and this restaurant has all the same dishes. The portions are huge and the food is reeally tastey. I got the bandeja paisa

Came here after church and the food is pretty good. We ordered 10 empanadas. 4 Pollo and 4 Carne and 2 Hawaiian empanada. I ordered the Lomo soltado which was huge. The rice, steak and onions were on point. The fries just needed to be a cooked more, the food does have the spicies similar to Chinese food. The service was very quick, but after receiving the food no one asked how the food was or even refill our water. That is the reason why I brought a star down. Overall good experience will come again during the week I assume on weekends it gets pretty busy very quick.

Amazing food!!! Came here for lunch for my daughter and was not disappointed at all. All of the food is affordable already so the lunch special is out of this world!! Service was outstanding too. There was no language barrier here that I find at a lot of other restaurants in port Chester. I can't attest to authentic Colombian flavor but my grilled chicken (that I expected to be plain) was FULL of flavor! Even the rice was comment worthy lol Overall I'm really impressed with this place. Definitely will be coming back!!

Best Colombian food in the area! I'm so glad this place opened up! It saves me a trip to Queens for good Colombian food. The food is fresh and the service is great.

Sancocho de rabo. Delicious oxtails soup. Very clean and tasty. This is the soup size from the special of the day.

I passed by for lunch around 3pm on a Thursday and it was not packed and service was quick and polite. I ordered the special which is soup of the day ( nice portion) and it comes with rice salad and grilled steak or chicken. I have to say for $10.50 it was delicious the soup had so much flavor and it tastes homemade. I also orders the bandeja paisa to go and the portion was large and very tasty only complain was the beans didn't really ha e good floor but besides that my daughter enjoyed her food. I would go again and try another dish. Parking was easy and a lot of it.

Great food, great service and great music!!!

When we went to this restaurant a few weeks ago, it had the name Makondo, not Pantojarse…read more The environment in Makondo was welcoming and warm, with a mural of los cafeteros that immediately lets you know you're in Colombia. There is a take-away area at the front where you can purchase breads, arepas, and other easily portable foods, in addition to the tables and seating area in the back of the restaurant. We opted to dine-in for breakfast and try a variety of plates: calentado, arepa con chicharron, morcilla, and bunuelos. The calentado transported me back to Medellin and, honestly, it kept me full for the entire day. The morchilla, arepas, and chicharrones were cooked to perfection and we were provided with a variety of sauces to add an extra boost of flavor. Absolutely everything was delicious and the prices are incredibly reasonable when compared with the other breakfast restaurants in the area. The service was very friendly and attentive. Most of the clients spoke Spanish, including us, but we did hear them speaking English with a few tables that morning. This restaurant is a little piece of Colombia in White Plains and brings some much needed diversity (and flavor!) to the regular breakfast scene in this city.

Me I speak and understand a good amount but communication with her was atrocious and we realized she didn't want us here. It was 7:45 and they were breaking down the front line. She told us they close at 9. They are advertised to be open until 10 pm and I showed her They had no sancocho no soup? She didn't bother to ask the kitchen. The same with Morcilla. She didn't ask the kitchen. We ordered 2 of the same plates and 1 order of Salchipapas . The dish was Grilled steak chicken chorizo and Chicharron. . She asked what sides my daughter wanted ( accompaniment) gave her a choice rice beans avocado plantano maduro tostones and fries.. For my order ( exactly the same dish) I was told no I do not have a choice and if I wanted fries instead of the sweet plantains she would be selling me an order of fries and not giving me the sweet plantains.? What? So I just went along with her . The food was prepared fresh with great seasoning and looked presentable. The chorizo was the worse part of the disk. It was overcooked and chewy like a shoe. The restaurant is casual. Not fancy at all but. Very clean. Buyer beware it was me a toddler a teenager and a 20 year old. She added an 18 percent tip to the bill. The restaurant was empty only is. She stood in the dining area and never once checked on us. We were very uncomfortable with her so we took most of the food to go and I reduced the tip amount.

This review is not the easiest for me to write. I have been coming to the Little Columbian…read morerestaurant since 2015. I loved this place, their food was fantastic and the quality was super consistent; an excellent spot to get together with friends or a date. So much attention to detail was paid, house made dressing, salsa, all ingredients were super fresh, the meats were always cooked excellently, and the staff was friendly. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a while but at some point in the last few years the Little Columbian restaurant became My little Columbian restaurant. My friends and I went there for dinner at the end of October, there was one couple that was leaving the restaurant but we were the only ones there when we first walked in. The vibe of the restaurant has changed because they changed how they decorated the interior of the restaurant. I prefer their older vibe but no big deal. Our waitress was nice and very attentive all night and the staff in general was quite friendly. Here's my issue, the food quality is not as good as it was in the past. And if they are going to charge along the same lines as what they have, always been on the pricier side, then the quality should still be at the same level. There were a bunch of little things that added up. To start, the salad I ordered didn't have the same quality of greens (I think they used a spring mix in the past), there were some small bits of core in the salad. More to my disappointment the Salad dressing was no longer the house dressing they used to make it was Ken's balsamic dressing, which generally tastes like diabetes syrup. Maybe it was an off night for the salad and I could live with that but the lack of the old house dressing was disappointing. Speaking of cutting corners, the chimichuri used to be super fresh and of good quality ingredients. The chimichuri this time around had a lower quality olive oil and the parsley was dried instead of fresh. My friend ordered some empanadas, which were partially burnt and again the slasa wasn't the same quality as they used to make with the empanadas. For an entree, I ordered Bandeja Columbiana. The chicharon was a bit overdone but ok enough. The chorizo was probably the best part but you have to try to mess up chorizo. The maduro was kind of dry and somewhat bland. The chicken was a touch rubbery and the steak was fine; nothing to write home about. As I had mentioned before the food wasn't terrible, it was fine enough but it was not worth the price it cost. Much worse is the fact that the quality in general just isn't the same as it had been prior, maybe they just had an off night but something tells me this is how it is now. It's too bad this restaurant isn't quite what it was; it used to be one of my favorites.
