We always get an extra large sauce with our order. I wish the they gave more salchi with the papas - what we receive is nothing like the picture in their menu. The Sabroso Combo #2 is our go-to. It would be nice if they also provided their salsa criolla (red onion salsa) but they never have and I've gotten it standard at other Peruvian restaurants. Maybe we have to ask for it but we've never gotten it, even when I've ordered a tamal, and again, they show the salsa pictured with the tamal in their menu. It's quite a let down because it really heightens their dishes, as simple and satisfying as they are already.

The 3 Peruvian restaurants within a few blocks of each other in this section of Mamaroneck, all run lunch specials of the day. We call up before ordering to find out what they are serving and round up orders around the office. My office mate is Peruvian and speaks Spanish, so he gets the duty to call in the order (make sure it's correct) and a bunch of us will cruise down there for pick-up. We've tried the delivery service, but it's too inconsistent, so I'd rather be the master of my own destiny and drive there myself to pick up our order.
