I have no idea what's going on here. It seems like they had a shift change between the guys and the ladies. When the guys worked the second drive-thru window they would always give me utensils with my order- I always get cheese fries with peppers on top. However, if the ladies work the second window, they never include utensils in my order. Also, the ladies seem to be kicking out the guys from the second window. When I was here 2 weeks ago, the guys who were working the second window, and then when I inched up a bit one of the ladies seemed to be trying to kick out the guys in that window, One guy held strong and stayed. My nephew has a theory that ordering inside is way much faster than the drive thru. He was totally right! As all In-N-Outs are usually stacked with cars that wrap around the building like this one today. My nephew said let's order inside so we tried it. Right when you open the door there is a line that reach right up to the entrance way so you initially feel like it would take a long time. It was about 6-7 line of people in front of you but surprisingly the efficiency of these locations are so on point that I was ordering up front in under 8 minutes or so. Then when you wait for your order it's about 5-7 minutes. Even with the 6 hamburgers I ordered it didn't take too long. My nephew told me after I just finishing ordering that he wanted a vanilla milkshake. When I looked back in line it was about the same number of people that reached to the entrance door. But I stood in line again but this time it went faster like in 5 minutes and I asked the same guy Isaiah if I could add the milkshake to the previous order we were waiting for and he kindly said, "I can hand that to you now." The place is well air conditioned even on an extremely hot day like today in the valley already reaching 93 degrees by lunch time. What my nephew and I also realized was we should come after 12:30pm because when we got there it was around 12pm with the long line stretching to the door. In some ways this is our favorite in and out location in the valley, in other ways it isn't, and that's not helpful to either you or me. The main thing that we like about this In-N-Out location, is the actual location and the parking lot. It's easy to get to. The parking lot is large, and there's usually not any trouble finding a parking space. The reason that we don't like this In-N-Out location is there's very limited indoor seating. I know this is a theme at most in and outs, but at most in and out I usually sit down. We've gotten to the point at this location where we just always take our food to go. And yes, the drive-thru line is a nightmare just like every other In-N-Out. But the food quality is exactly what you would expect from In-N-Out so no complaints there. read more

Aside from the long wait, everything is usually great, but this time was bad. When I ordered, the staff didn't even ask me if I wanted onions. This is the first time that's ever happened, I'm always asked. So I got a hamburger with extra lettuce and tomato. When I got my order, I asked for 3 packs of spread and the person handed me 2. When I checked my burger, there was no extra lettuce and tomato. I asked for it and she gave me extra tomatoes. I had to ask again for the lettuce. I noticed that the majority of the staff were younger employees, only a few elders in the back cleaning the floor and such. Staff need to pay more attention and be properly trained. Overall Experience: Can get very busy and difficult to find parking when it's prime time. But you can't beat In-N-Out on VALUE for best burger and fries at the best price. Food: I always compare my burgers back to In n out and I just gotta say you can't beat the quality and the price. My hack is to get extra everything with grilled onions and whole grilled onions. Of course, double double - no lie. Portion Size: Excellent. The perfect size of burgers and fries, and no complicated menu. Service: Always great customer service. Ask and you will receive! It's one of those love hate situation here. You either love it or hate it. The parking situation is a hit or miss as well. Depending on what location you go to. This particular one, there's a nice size lot but it's also part of the drive thru line. In and Out is notorious for their long line of cars at all their locations. That's good for them as it's rolling in the money. It's a burger place that's only caters to burgers and fries. Basically a few ways for your burgers and basis fries. It's good, I've alway enjoyed my meals every time I've been. This visit, I was next door at the gas station and was craving a vanilla shake. Even though there was a line at drive thru, walking in there was no one waiting. Seating area was full but no one in line. Staff were very friendly when I walked in. The hello and how may I help you. I just wanted a shake. Plain and Simple. I'm sure it also their duty asking if we wanted a burger as well. Shake literally didn't take long. He was the one that prepared it for me. If it's busy , it does take a while. Overall, I mainly come when I have the craving for something. Rarely do I have fast food but the craving for a vanilla shake does pop up every now and then. Is In-N-Out overrated? Do we just visit for comfort and nostalgia? Today, I visited at 10:30 am. They weren't busy and went straight for the drive through. I ordered a cheeseburger animal style with added whole grilled onions, animal fries, and they upsold me on a beverage. What I got was a cold cheeseburger with hardly any grilled onions and no sign of whole grilled onions, a couple of whole grilled onions on fries covered with melted cheese, and a watery, almost room temperature strawberry shake. With plenty of burger options in the Valley, I don't think I will be back at this particular In-N-Out location. I would rather support local at Bill's Burgers or get better quality burgers at HiHo Cheeseburger in Studio City or the new Goldburger in Granada Hills....or even the Habit where I've never had a cold burger. While going thru the separated drive thru line ahead of the car next to me, Ariel decided to help the car closest to him instead of doing the logical thing in helping who arrived first. The reason this business is so successful is because the quality is superior compared to other chains such as McDonald's, Wendy's, Jack in the Crack and Burger King. The cheese is so creamy and decadent. The meat is very fresh and never frozen. That soft bun...so buttery and toasty. Plus that special spread sauce is so mouthwatering. It's a thousand island like sauce with pickles that is the perfect contrast to the burger and fries. I recommend getting a Double Double Cheeseburger Animal Style with extra grilled onions and well done fries. If you're feeling extra hungry get the thick chocolate milkshake as dessert. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. I came here around 10:20pm (11-10-25) Today I visited this location and every single item I ordered was extremely disappointing. Firstly, I purchased Animal fries and quickly disappointed followed, the fries that i had were absolutely burnt. They tasted like i ordered them well done and were way to crunchy for my liking, they appeared to be soaked in oil. (see attached photo). TO TOP THESE FRIES REALLY OFF not only were the fries overcooked the onions on top were literally burnt BLACK, BLACK, and tasted so disgusting, I threw them away after that. Then the regular fries were the exact same overcooked, crunchy, and old tasting. Next was the burger bun on the first burger I ordered, again burnt and unenjoyable (see attached). Then my burger I got it with Whole Grilled onion, it literally says that on my receipt but was given raw. This really put me off because the onions in the burger are my favorite part. Then to top it all off my food was so cold, I live 6 mins from this location no way in hell should it have gotten that cold that quick. It absolutely tasted like it was just sitting around in there. Lastly, the staff: At the first window we were told they don't accept cash after 10pm so just note that. Then when I got to the window i and asked for condiments the staff didn't ask how many I wanted like they have time before instead she's gave me one of the spread and peppers, never in all my years and visits to in n out have they been like this with there condiments. I knew inflation was getting bad but come on. The ambiance in this location is the same with them all, they all look the same just filled with different individuals who care less about proper customer care. Anyways In all don't come to this location I also went to the drive through and it took me sooo long to get my order, and then waiting all that time wasn't even worth it, the food was a massive let down and overall disgrace to the in n out name. Coming in through the drive thru, there was only 1 order taker using the intercom for 10 cars back. There would be 1 order taken, car getting the food all in one sequence before the next car can even order. Must have been a problem with the ordering tablets and the rain. While I waited 10 mins for my food, I was still given burnt buns and it was somehow acceptable to be sent to customers. Working in fast food, buns like this take a long time to burn. They must of had it on the grill for 5+ mins!! we bit through the burger and had to tear it off like a piece of steak. I'm always surprised at how fast the inevitability long lines move at In-N-Out. I came to the drive-thru at this location, and they had the split line that merges into one after you put your order in with the expediter. It definitely seems to be an efficient way to eliminate the line from bottlenecking out into the main street. The expediter was friendly, and provided clear instructions about which car to merge after, and I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes to get my food from the time I entered the line to when I made it to the pick up window. I ordered two double-double cheeseburgers for my boyfriend and I, minus the onions, with fries to share. I also ordered the animal sauce on the side, because it's the bomb.com! The food is always fresh! It's the cleanest tasting burger I've found. The service is always prompt and on point. The team members are dressed neat and a smile is always part of the uniform. The lines are long but they move quickly. As a result of long lines, it means the restaurant is turning the food over constantly which means the burger and fries you are ordering will always be fresh. I was on business in the San Fernando Valley, and I was famished! I was craving a complete meal from In N Out, and found this location closest to me. I was in no rush to get back on the road, as rush hour had now hit in full force. I found parking in their lot, which had plenty of open spots despite them being busy. I walked in, and after making a quick pit stop, ordered my meal. I got a double-double, with fries, and an extra large iced tea. Due to Covid restrictions, I had to take my food to-go. After a short wait, I got my food, and headed back to my car. I devoured my meal, which I found to be delicious. Anyone who's had In N Out knows how great the food is at this chain. In fact, bad In N Out locations are extremely rare. This particular location is definitely on the good list. This place is kept clean, run efficiently, and staffed by friendly people. Harry Snyder and Esther Snyder founded In-N-Out back in 1948 in Baldwin Park, CA and the company is still to this day privately ran and family operated. With locations now spanning several states they've been able to offer there beloved food to those outside of CA as well. Let's get to it. They serve burgers, fries, shakes and various other drinks. They pretty much have not added anything to the menu besides hot chocolate as of 2018 (re-introduced as hot chocolate was an item of the past), and for this reason they're able to keep things pretty consistent and under a sharp eye. They use fresh beef that's never frozen, the buns are made with real sponge dough and made without preservatives, veggies are cut fresh and the fries are peeled and cut from fresh potatoes and cooked in 100% sunflower oil. Besides anything on the regular menu, there are some "secret" (I say secret this way because most of these are known about) items. Here's just some of those additions to the regular menu: protein style burger, 3x3 and 4x4 (three burger patties and three slices of cheese and four burger patties and four slices of cheese respectively), flying dutchman (my favorite!), Scooby Snack (just a burger patty), mustard grilled burgers, animal style fries and burgers (cheese, grilled onions, extra spread and pickles), cheese fries, grilled cheese and a Neapolitan shake. You can also ask for chilies or to have your burger cooked a little less than normal. Prices are in the $2-7 range for any of their items. ---Location Specific---- This location is in Van Nuys and not too far from the 101 & 405 freeways. This is store #134 which opened up back in 1998. The look and size is similar to others I have been to with both inside and outside (limited) seating. The drive thru currently has just one lane, but as always they're pretty quick. It is to be expected that at any given time at all sorts of hours for traffic to spill into the street. Service was quick on the most recent visit, food was warm and consistent,  and needs were met with ease. Napkins? Sure! Extra spread? I got you Aryo. Chilies? Say no more! This In-N-Out Burger is one of the early locations. It is a drive thru only. No indoor seating. Which is kinda cool. A little nostalgic. I hope they keep it that way. There are small round outdoor tables although not good if it rains In-N-Out Burger is a good burger for the money. They have not changed this burger for years. However I believe our taste does change and they have lots of room for improvement. One I hope some day they add chili. Two offer onion rings. Third perhaps offer thick cut french fries as well. I feel so silly leaving a review for a fast food place, but I feel like this one is warranted as it's been seriously the most disappointing In N Out I've ever had. Waited 20+ mins only to receive cold fries and an animal style burger so soggy that half the sandwich was falling apart. There was a stray piece of lettuce on my burger that had a short, black hair hanging off of it. My pink lemonade was carbonated? Tasted like it was mixed with 7 up, which for a non-soda drinker made it undrinkable. Also didn't get a fork for the animal fries.
