I asked for the toppings on the side because I was getting sandwiches for the next day's track meet. Not only did he give me the extra topping but he added the Mike's way, too. Unfortunately the overall management and customer service of this Jersey Mike's location has really gone downhill over the last 6 months! Today after ordering my sandwich I asked one of the employees to use their restroom to wash my hands before eating. He appeared to be tall, appeared to have tan skin, stocky build with dark hair and facial hair (see photos). He seemed rather annoyed with my standard question--as though I was asking him for money , or something very preposterous. In a rude remark he glared at me then commented that the restroom is "out of order ". Unfortunately this is the third time I've visited Jersey Mike over the last 6 months where their restroom is inoperable. A little odd if you ask me?? I then asked for hand sanitizer to another employee as an alternative to washing my hands. This employee appeared to be slim build, wore glasses and appeared to be Caucasian. To my shock, he awkwardly said "we don't have hand sanitizer". He was barely able to make any eye contact and spoke so softly , as though he was afraid of his own shadow. If your restroom is nonfunctional the LEAST you could do for your guests is provide hand sanitizer... especially in a POST COVID society where sanitation and hygiene is more valued within public settings and anywhere involving general food preparation. Can you only imagine then how careless they must be when it comes to handling food items. The employees must barely wash their own hands after handing cash, then touching meat, then touching their aprons, then touching their hair, then touching bread.. At the next visit, I sure hope either the restroom is functional or there is hand sanitizer as a backup for guests to use. I occasionally order from this place via Postmates and every time I eat their sandwich I get completely nauseous It's interesting because I used to eat there when they opened and everything was great. I am so happy this location is finally under new management. It was starting to go downhill and the quality of service and food was not as good. Ryan, the new manager, and Elias, the assistant manager, are awesome. They are training their staff so that the quality of food and service are consistent. I ordered my usual sandwiches - #7 and the California club - and they were delicious (sorry for the lack of photos). Ingredients and bread were fresh and service was impeccable. Customer service, I entered the store at 6:45 pm on Saturday Sept. 7, 2024. I don't know if it was closed cause the open sign was not on, but the door was open and the lights were on. I get Jersey mikes pretty commonly, and have been to a bunch of different stores. My experiences are almost always the same. Good service, nice employees, good food. But this location has very strange staff, and even though I came in early the bread was stale. And just in general the sandwich was very off... definitely don't feel well after eating it. Anyway this is not the right location, eat somewhere else. I get that working in service sucks but the vibe was like a was waiting in line at a prisons lunchroom. I've been in their shoes.
