Hadn't had In-N-Out in a while, so we decided to go. We ordered two hamburgers, fries, and a Coke with grilled onions, lettuce, and tomato. The food was good--fresh and simple, just what you expect. The fries were good but went fast! The burgers were tasty, and everything came out right. The only downside was the wait--we were in line for about 40 minutes, which felt a little long. They did have someone outside taking orders, which helped a bit. One person with us was from out of state trying it for the first time and thought it was good, just not anything too special. 1000pm, Saturday, November 16, 2025 Having late dinner. The line of cars extended to the driveway. First time coming to this location. It's an OG design, not modern. Still has the tiny kitchen with drive thru windows and lanes to each side. Interaction with the mobile order taker was fine. I don't know how she keeps track, servicing both lanes. They must have a system on their tablet or something. She came back to my car when my lane moved forward and past her. She did mention that she'd be back to my car to take the order. The order was a protein style hamburger (ie lettuce wrap) light spread, grilled onion, extra tomato; Double-double animal style; fries well done; ice water. The order was repeated perfectly. It's been a while since I've done a drive thru order, at an OG location no less. Beware, line moves slow. Avoid right lane as that's where the entry door is to the tiny kitchen. I was held up twice when they needed more supplies from the other building across the drive thru lane. They'll put up a stop pylon in the way so you don't block the door. Very busy at 4pm on a Friday, got 2 burgers to go, waited 30 min, both were wrong. A cheese burger with spread on the side, no spread was included with order. Second burger was a double double with grilled onion, no onions and no spread were on the burger at all. All patties on both burgers burnt. Won't be returning to this location. I've always loved my burger thick, juicy and medium rare so I really didn't enjoy my first double double decades ago. That was until I discovered their secret menu. I have since came back once in a while for protein style cheeseburger which they always wrap so neatly with super crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes and pickles which I always eat with their spread. Even better, I just tried their double double animal and protein style and now there's no turning back. So soooo goooood!!! I recently found out about well done fries which is just like the best ever version of the crispy and salty shoe string potatoes I enjoyed when I was a kid. Perfect with ice cold soda! My daughter and I came here tonight and we are never disappointed with the simple menu of pretty much burger, fries, and drink. Today, the service was ok. The lady skipped our car so we were practically up to the front before my daughter had to get out of the car and chase her down so we could have our order taken. The lady was nice and felt bad. When she got to our car, the iPad didn't work so she had to headset our order in. When we got up to the window, the guy asked us if we got a certain order and I told him know, it was a different order which he found. We were not up at the window too long. Our total was approx $23, but with our two free Double Double cards that we won at the Ontario Reign hockey game, it came out to approx $10. So of course again the food always exceeds all expectations. I was away from home for over 2 months and had not ate at an In n Out for over 3 months. I was so glad to eat here tonight! My daughter and I both had a Double Double cheeseburger minus onions add pickles. I also added mustard on mine. She had animal style fries and I had regular fries. She had a Medium cherry coke, I went with old fashioned water. We asked for extra spread sauces. I ordered a hamburger and strawberry shake for my mom because she doesn't like their fries. Then I ordered a number 2 cheese burger fries upgraded to a strawberry shake. Instead of ordering the number 2 they made mine Ala cart which actually brings the price to $9.65 instead of the $8.85 . It's sad that America is suffering and these big corporations will squeeze as much money they can get from us . What happened to the bun it's smaller than before just like the burger we get less but they charge us more. I've been coming here for 25 years. My husband and I are in-n-out groupies, okay! For our wedding, we got $500 in in-n-out gift cards! Unfortunately, in the last year, this location has become ungodly slow. Even if you are only 3rd in line in drive thru, I'm not sure what is going on in that kitchen, but it will take you at least 25 minutes to get your single person order. It's even slower if you go up to the window. Tonight was enough for me. The drive thru was long, so my husband and I went to the window. We ordered 2 burgers, 3 fries, and 2 plain unsalted Pattie's. It took almost 1 HOUR to get our food. This was the 3rd time in a row that we waited so long to get our food. You could've sworn everyone was ordering for a family of 30 from how long it took. I was not happy obviously. I asked the lady at the register if there was a policy for orders that take an hour because that seems ridiculous and excessive for a small order. She sarcastically apologized and then went on to ignore me. The girl flipping the Pattie's on the grill turned around to roll her eyes at me. I stated "okay so you're ignoring me apparently" and with enough attitude to fill your gas tank stated "nope, there's no policy, sorry!!!! We only have one grill!!" The Double-Double might be California's finest sandwich. In NorCal they're likely to go for cured meats and arugula stuffed into a Dutch crunch roll. But south of the Bakersfield line, few things present a formidable challenge to the Double-Double's supremacy. And it must be a Double-Double, although a Double-Single is permissible in certain circumstances, but never a single cheeseburger and never-ever a hamburger. Why is this? It is not a matter of indulgence. I don't recommend the 3x3, nor the 4x4; the further option verges on sport eating and the latter fully embraces it. Anything more than the Double-Double knocks the thing out of harmony. The balance of the burger gestalt is disrupted. This is also the case with the single patty. The In-N-Out patty weighs in at 2 oz. On its own, this is not an adequate amount of beef to help shape a harmonious burger. But sliding in the additional patty, making the Double-Double the standard bearer, is the act of taking a 4oz., quarter-pound burger, escalloping it into two, thereby giving the diner four sides of Maillard seared ground beef. The French fries are fresh, but completely lacking in structure. This is nothing new and a common gripe of many. And it is the result of cooking the fries only once. The ideal fry is fried first at a lower temperature, cooked completely, then finished in hotter oil for a crisp exterior. Some enthusiasts suggest that thrice-cooked fries are the pinnacle: boiled first before frying twice. Animal fries are not the answer; neither are fries "well done." For a slutty French fry experience, you're much better off with chili cheese fries at one of many local Tom's, Tam's, Troy's, etc. And ordering "well-done" fries at In-N-Out is like ordering a well done steak, they're just overcooked. The milkshakes are good and I'm told they brew a good cup of joe. Whenever possible, you want to patron the In-N-Outs that do not have dining rooms. What's more SoCal than dining al fresco amid the exhaust fumes of two dozen cars sat in fast food drive-thru? It is extra special to find a location with green signage, a blast from the past. And the Baldwin Park location is the original, next to the museum and the company's university. But the Upland location might be the ultimate one. It abuts the quarries that were commissioned in building the southland's freeway network. It sits under the imperial form of Mt. Baldy. It sits on the dying artery of Route 66. And most importantly, Upland is completely lost in the past. When there, it's hard to tell if the year is 1948 or 1973, but it definitely has never been 2024. read more

How could Gordon Ramsey be wrong? The celebrity chef's favorite burger is served here. Maybe not at this exact location. He's probably never even heard of Upland. I'm referring to this chain of restaurants. The fact that an In-N-Out on Foothill Blvd serves the same delicious burger as the location in Baldwin Park or one in Austin, TX is pretty cool. Mastro's can't even cook a steak with consistency from it's Malibu restaurant to the downtown LA one. (The DTLA one sucks.) Am I right? The staff is always friendly and attentive. Extra ketchup and chilis? Just ask. I can't even get a waiter to refill my water at Gus's BBQ in Claremont, and that's when I ask. The atmosphere is great. Al fresco or al legno attraverso. In-N-Out is such a temptation to avoid; my friends and I stopped by after visiting the Claremont Colleges. I ordered my classic double-double with extra veggies and grilled onions, but it didn't feel like I got extra grilled veggies. I was glad i came to try the fries light well because they were AMAZING - such a secret I wish I discovered sooner. This In-N-Out has parking as well as a drive-thru to accommodate customers who want to take-out or eat-out - a joke since they have a small outdoor canopy area. Overall, the food was great on a rainy day. Service was as expected in drive-thru but a little chaotic in-person at the front (no real line, free for all, etc.)... so be aware of that during your visit. read more

They had already made the burger & went to remake it but when I got it it had the grilled onions on it that someone had lazily tried to scrape off but still left a bunch, not only that but the burger had banana peppers on it that I didn't order. Went to in n out this past week during the afternoon and all I have to say is Daniel is the top worker in that store. He immediately greeted me at the window with a smile and made time to get to ask about my day even with how busy they were! My food wasn't exactly how i ordered it so i was a little flustered because of my health, but Daniel immediately got on it to make the moment right for me. He apologized several times and seemed genuine ( hardly experience that these days) This is my in n out I go to often and hardly experience service like that . ( totally understandable since they are so busy ) But this was definitely a nice change in atmosphere. Whoever in management is reading this needs to give that boy a raise!! Slightly long line for this location on a Monday evening, but with the worker taking orders on foot, it went by incredibly quickly. The guy who took our order was really friendly and informative too, letting us know that we can just ask for spread at the window unless it was a huge bulk order (did NOT even know you can bulk order spread for free...I'll keep this in mind for future stops). This location is always super busy. But they are incredibly slow. I've waited for over 30 mins in the drive thru and at the walk up window. It doesn't make a difference. Getting there: If you're coming from the 210, exit Mountain and head south; you'll spot this location on your left. Parking is almost non-existent at this location. If heading for the drive-thru it can get a little tricky as well due to how this restaurant is positioned. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Experience: This place is my ultimate guilty pleasure; I don't indulge often, but when I do, it's I like to get the works. I love in-n-out, just not this location's. I brought a lot of my friends from out-of-state and this was the nearest one to show them. I really wish I did my research because there wasn't an inside. The line was long, and the walk-in line that was outside isn't any better. They do have two car lanes but the pace isn't any faster. We waited about 45 min for our food and our order was messed up for one order. Redeem qualities are that it's in-n-out so I love the food and will always come back, just not this location. The staff is very helpful and friendly still. And, that's pretty much it. Any other in-n-out gets my good rating, but this specific location isn't it. read more
