I got a group on for a Spa mani and pedi. I love the service. They accommodated a late appt time. The place was quiet with soft music playing. It was tastefully decorated. The woman who did my pedicure was AN EXPERT. I have never had a pedicure that was so thorough! I love their color choices, the massage chair was new and comfortable. I went back to groupon and bought 2 more visits. Even without the groupon, the price is fitting for the work that is done. Where do i begin! The worst mistake i made was walking into this place i went in for a wash cut'1' inch that i specifically asked for for the length of my hair, which is short to my shoulder the price was incorrect, but I agreed anyway because I was in a rush and my regular lady was busy for the day. The lady in the front desk seems nice, but who knows the woman who washed my hair was also nice but I know she's just a shampoo, girl and cleans just an assistant, which is nothing wrong with that but the actual woman who came to cut my hair did not even speak to me she was on the phone on speakerphone the entire time my mind told me to get up and just pay for the wash, but I just sat there as she continue to text so send photos or whatever she was doing as she was on and off cutting my hair she butchered my hair. It's the worst cut I've ever had. I'm going away this weekend. It ruined my trip completely now I have to figure out how to fix this with hair extensions. There's no way I can cut it even more. It was about 3 inches or more taken off of my hair when I asked the lady in the front did they let the assistant do my hair she said no, that's the owner. That woman is not the owner. She is a shampoo girl which they let blow dry my hair although she's a nice young lady she should not be working on anyone's hair without a license because anyone with a license would not cut my hair the way that it was cut or blow dry my hair the way that it was being blowdried I left to feeling defeated. I paid the bill never ever in my life. Have I ever not tipped in fact I work for Tips I left out of there fuming mad so mad that I am going to contact about a business Bureau after reading some reviews, this place is known for having this type of service. I'm not just some colored girl that came in there that you can just throw to the side and do whatever you want to them you let the shampoo girl blow dry my hair and a woman who is unlicensed because the cut that she gave is not a person with experience or who went to school for cosmetology. I actually should have not paid and call the cops because I understand that if you get service, you have to pay for it and again never in my life. Have I ever had this type of experience, I expressed to the woman in the front how I felt she said I'll have a talk with her. I'm not quite sure what that really means because that is just not making any sense to me then she said I will see if they can discount the cost I don't need a discount. I took my 8year old here for her first blow out a few months back and asked them not to put too much heat in her hair and use heat protectant because she has long natural hair. here we are month 3 recovering from that blow out. her hair it destroyed to the point where i have to cut all of it off. popped off in so many places. I knew better but i trusted that they would do the right thing and they fried her hair. We have the same grade and i've personally never have issues with them but i'll never go back to them again. read more

One star for the friendly woman who colored my hair. Everything else about this experience has been an epic fail. I asked for a simple black rinse. Easy right? I literally walked out with the same Color that I walked in with. But what really annoyed me is the owner asking me To pay before the dye is even out of my hair!! And then has the audacity to charge 90 for a rinse--which I wouldn't have mind paying if I liked the end result. When I Asked the owner to tell me the brand of the rinse, all of a sudden she walks away looking dump founded as if I asked her a difficult question. And then when I tell her the color didn't meet my expectations, because it's not black, I get a blank stare like "so! What you want me to do about it? And she's right because she already has my money. Once I told her my concern, she did offer To put more of the 90 color in? Which of course I declined because she had already insisted they were closing. Just so unprofessional. If anyone is Interested in having a relaxing hair experience and wants to darken their hair, I would highly suggest you go somewhere else. I got three groupons for massages--it is in the neighborhood, so why not?! If you want a decent, general massage from a nice masseur, and have no trouble laying facedown on a table, this is your place. If you want deep tissue and have any neck issues, STAY AWAY. The first experience was disappointing, to say the least. The masseur did not speak English, so I could not communicate with her directly. I asked specifically for a deep tissue massage and was given a quasi-Swedish something. I asked that she concentrate on my TMJ and rotator cuff areas--was given NO work on my jawline. However, the worst of it was that the table was not a standard massage table--there was no face rest, so half the massage had me laying facedown on the table with my (sore) neck wrenched to the side. Generally a bad experience. BUT I had two other certificates and was not able to talk with the masseur, so I figured that maybe I had been unclear. So, I went back. When I made the appointment, I asked for a DEEP TISSUE massage. When I arrived, I reminded the receptionist that I wanted a deep tissue massage. On the paperwork, I noted that I wanted to concentrate on my rotator cuff and tmj--with stars next to my notes. When the masseur took me back, I asked her for the head rest. She didn't understand. She left the room and came back without one. I asked three more times. She finally brought in an extra towel for ME to ball up under my forehead. I asked six times for deep tissue--"Mas fuerza". Nothing. As nice, polite, and conciliatory as the masseur was she did not provide the service I asked for, and I left, again, with the same kinks I went in with, less a second groupon. I've had several pedicures and gel manicures at this location the ladies here do a decent job on pedicures ,the one time I decide to get tips I left unsatisfied I can't stand sloppy work polish was left on some fingers and under my nails. I had been coming here on and off since high school were talking about since 2006. There were 2 people who always washed my hair Margarita and Betsy. It was no issue when my hair was relaxed. When i transitioned to natural i still came here and wore my hair straight major fail because they heat damaged my hair. Stopped going in 2015 cut all my hair off and periodically still went to get mani/pedis to still support the business because the spa is nice. Today i had a weave in my hair and needed assistance taking it out. MAJOR MISTAKE. I have my mask on during the service so i suppose they didn't recognize me, but it goes to show how they continue to treat patrons with natural hair. Betsy rushed doing my hair because they it started to get busy. I still sat patient because i can understand the need to service people. Then she immediately asks me if i'm blow drying my hair , i said no id like rollers. You can see her disposition change. I ask for medium size rollers. She proceeded to be rough combing my hair. I stated she was hurting me, instead of apologizing she said "when you move your head its going to hurt". I didn't make a scene, I shook my head in disbelief. she then states "see when you don't move your head, thank you beautiful" very condescending. I asked them to wash the weave, and dry it. I get to the desk thats not done. Doris who's styled my hair a few times asks me if i'm going to blow dry my hair, (shes always nice) i say no not today. She asks me if id like to wrap my hair, and then asks me if i'm alright, (she was concerned). coming here is like being in an abusive relationship, they're customer service = and they don't treat you well if they presume your hair is a burden to them. The spa manager was very rude and would not accept my Groupon for a massage and facial bc I had been there before with a Groupon for a mani pedi. The Groupon didn't say that customers could not do that. I had taken a day off and made an appointment. When I arrived, I had to wait for her to come in. Then she refused to provide the services so I called Groupon and they issued a credit. I will never use this spa again. They should have told me when I made the appointment but she said she always tells customers when they come in. I explained that I had taken off work but it wasn't her problem. Then she told me the massage tech wasn't scheduled that day, although I specifically had an appointment for a massage and facial. It is not worth the hassle. I came here because I purchased a groupon. The lady did my pedicure and manicure. She was a bit rough with the manicure because my cuticles are still sore. When it came time to pay and use the groupon she states oh the groupon is only for next door, mind you its a salon with the same name by the same person. Really!!!! This salon does your hair nice. This is why I choose them for my wedding. I brought 7 bridesmaids and my mom. I booked my date with a deposit in advance.i paid for everyone's hair and nails and make up before it was completely. Unfortunately once I paid for everything there was only caos confusion and total lack of customer service. So many things went wrong I don't know where to start. But of all the things the worst part was the things I experienced the DAY of my wedding. Theresa told me I should come at 630am to finish curling my hair and my make up and touch up for my bridesmaids. 1.8am Makeup pp don't show up till 8am 2. Btw 7am-8am I'm still waiting to do my hair touch up 3.815 am she starts my hair 4.846am she stops my hair to finish some hair who going to a graduation on the day of my wedding 5.keeping in I had to be back at my house dressed for d limo at 10am because I had a day wedding which I told her several time before and she said she can accommodate me 6. At 915 am my mom gets very upset because I'm standing waiting. 7. Theresa gets very irate throws down her comb and walked out came back and said 'can you tell your mom to shut up'' 8. 10am now finished my hair and now starting my makeup which had to be rushed Bc the limo was at my house and I wasn't even finish with my makeup 9. Made the mistake of going to this place recently. I was appalled that the seats were full of dust and hair! The floor was filthy and the pedicure way below even average standards. It was closing time and I saw one woman using the towels to mop the floors! The same towels that were used for customers' hands and feet. Never again :) read more

If I can give this place no stars I would!!!!! Smh so I came to the hair salon, I walk in no one greeted me or ask me what I wanted to do. So I walked to the back and this man that works there asked me if i was there to wash my hair, I said yes and he started to wash my hair. When he was done washing my hair he told me to sit in a seat and that someone will come and do my rollers. I sat There for about 20 to 25 mins and no one came. Until a lady said "isn't that girl getting rollers?" Then that's when they remembered that I was there. By the time they started doing my rollers my hair was already dry so the girl had to put something on my hair to make it wet again. After my rollers were done I was put under the dryer for about 40 mins. I came out the hair dryer and noticed that my hair was really hard. The girl that did my rollers put some blue liquid on my hair thinking it was watered!!!! So that Made my hair extremely stiff, by that time I had it already!!! The lady told me that she would wash my hair agin and just blow dry it. I was so pissed I basically sat in the hair dryer for no reason to then get my hair wet again with cold water smh! She washed my hair and then blew dry it. And of course it wasn't all that great. But wait there's more! When I was all done and went to go pay the lady I asked her how much? She said $25.00 I have her $40 and she only gave me back $5.00 when I questioned her she said oh I forgot to give u your $10.00. Smh!!!!! Like are U kidding me! After all the bad experience u want to over charge me like smh. I know all this happened Bc the owner Teresa wasn't there. She needs to be there more often and supervise her staff.
