I had a 3 start but feel more a 3+, so I gave them 4 as they are really nice people and do have good customer service. I feel guilty for having to give them this review. But it is what it is. I called Imperial Windows for a 2nd estimate as my first was a bit high. Ken came out Friday afternoon. Almost felt he was in a bit of a hurry for the weekend as I asked if he could give me a quote on new front door and side panel as well so can see what I am looking at, but the windows needed to be done first as I wanted to see if the windows solved the issue with heat in my house or not as I feel heat come thru my front door and side panel. He said he can do that another time, lets get the windows done first. I had received a larger estimate from another company (one for all windows and one for front door & side panel) but they had priced me out with triple pane windows. Most of my townhome front windows all face west and the afternoon sun is brutal. This is a big issue for me as from 2pm-7:30pm I have solid sun. I had single pane windows before with sunscreens and they did very little. So I was excited to get my windows done and chose Imperial Windows due to the great reviews. I explained to Ken my heat issues on the west side as well as telling how hot it gets during the SRP 3-6pm time of use time. So my kitchen which is next to my dining room (no solid wall dividing) is 78 during this time and the room right next to it with the big window is 3-4 degrees hotter. I also explained to him I am disabled and home all day long and miserable as it is so hot in my house. This room with the large window is the one I am in a lot. He told me that I don't need triple pane windows, just Low E double pane. So he quoted me 6 Low E windows and 2 sliding doors. I asked him if I needed sunscreens and he said no why? I said for privacy. I have a unique situation where my dining room has a large window and is my bedroom. The same large window I speak of in this review. He told me no one can see in. I feel so uncomfortable because I feel they can. I go outside and check. When the sun is directly on the windows the reflection is greater. But today is over cast and you can see in quite clearly. So now I am trying to figure out how to make it more private with out again, having to have blinds closed. I had window film on the lower half of a couple windows before for privacy. But was told I cannot use window film. The quote was a lot lower than my other estimate due to going with only double pane. I never told him what I was quoted, nor did I tell him I had a top price I could go. Now that the windows are installed and I am trying to figure out how to make the privacy issue work and it isn't going very well as I refuse to have blinds curtains closed all the time. I am also dealing with the hot west direct sun and I honestly wished I was quoted triple pane. Or at least even just the one large window that seems to let my room heat up still so much. It's not as bad as before but it's still pretty warm in here and fans are still going 24/7. I was tired of having to have insulated curtains on that large window which helped tremendously but were ugly plus I felt so closed in as my place is small. I took those down and now have just my vertical blinds, but it still gets so warm. I do wish I was quoted with triple pane windows as it would have been worth it to me to pay the price even if it was just for the largest window on the west side which I think would have drastically helped. This is actually a bit of a big deal to me thus the 3 stars, as now I am trying to find the best window covering that will help with heat for this large window yet let light in and not make me feel closed in. I wanted to use my vertical blinds with no insulated curtains. But now it cost me several hundred to put cellular blinds up as they are supposed to help trap heat. Haven't gotten them yet as they are in the mail, so we will see. Still not the option I wanted. If it wasn't for this one issue, Imperial Windows would have gotten 5 stars. read more

We decided to go with Imperial Windows and Screens to replace the aged sunscreens on our home. John Uptegrove (the owner) came to our home to give us an estimate for the sunscreens and a replacement patio door. John took his time as he explained the options available to us as well as the cost - including the estimated SRP rebate. The screens were installed approximately 2 weeks after they were ordered and they look great and are a really nice quality. Bob the installer was very pleasant and professional and John showed up during the install to make sure everything was going smoothly. Bob left the SRP rebate paperwork with Imperial Windows and Screens portion filled out and explained exactly what needed to be done to submit the rebate forms. I would highly recommended Imperial Windows and Screens. John obviously takes great pride in the quality of his product and work and was a pleasure to do business with. Honest, reliable and fairly priced. I was also very pleased with the professionalism of Bob who did the install. Thanks again Imperial! read more

We had been searching for a year for a contractor who would do dual pane windows with sunscreens because our HOA requires sunscreens with a grid pattern. Finally found John and we are very happy with the job he did and the quality of the windows and sunscreens. He worked with us to find out just what we wanted. We have beautiful energy efficient windows now with the screens as required. The price was very reasonable, less than just windows from most companies and it included the sunscreens. If you have a special situation or just need new windows at a great price, call John at Imperial Windows and Sunscreens. read more

We had three new windows installed last month and we are extremely satisfied. When I had initially inquired about a quote, Bob promptly responded and worked around our schedule to come to our home to provide us with a quote. Bob is not your typical pushy, annoying sales guy. He is very professional, informative and and friendly without being overly aggressive or pushy. My husband and I immediately agreed that this was the company we wanted to work with to replace our windows. Imperial's pricing is highly competitive. The installers were great as well. They were prompt, professional and friendly. Bob followed up with us to see if we were satisfied with our windows, and we are. They look fantastic. We are planning to replace the rest of our windows this year and we will definitely be going with Imperial again. Thank you! read more

We had Imperial Windows come out and install new double pane windows throughout our house and they did a great job. John was very helpful in helping us pick out the best windows for us - and the installation went great. We would definitely recommend! read more

The install team was out today installing our three new windows. They were kind, courteous, and thoughtful men. They cleaned up after themselves, communicated effectively and were a joy to have in our home. I am exceedingly impressed with the level of customer service and care provided throughout the process of choosing and installing our windows. Thank you for excellent work and my beautiful windows. The owner went out of his way to ensure that at the end of the day we were happy with our choice. Bob was amazing and even stopped by today just to see how the install was going. We will be back for more windows! Thank you! read more

Ken came out very quickly and gave me a quick estimate. He was neat, friendly, knowledgable and prompt. I had to reschedule once and they had to reschedule once. Both times the experience was customer centric and pleasant. The installers were also very personable, neat and professional. It is not easy having contractors in your home, because you never know how they are going to leave it. They left everything clean when they were done. I love my new windows. They look great and have reduced the noise in my rooms tremendously. Thanks for a great job! read more

Had sunscreens and five windows replaced in my home this week. John did an excellent job explaining the options and advantages to different solutions. He didn't try to up sell me and was very thorough in this bid and proposal. Bob did an excellent job on the sunscreen install and Jose was awesome with the window install and left our interior spotless upon completion. Results look fantastic and would definitely recommend Imperial to friends and family. read more

I have never written a review on Yelp before but it's the least I can do for Imperial Windows and Sunscreens. I can't begin to tell you how EASY the process of replacing the windows in my home was because of Imperial's professionalism, communication, and work ethic. From my first call with the owner to Ken's visit to provide a quote to the experience with the installation crew, I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was everybody I dealt with amazing, but Imperial offered a lower price than two other local companies. My windows look fantastic, the crew cleaned up their mess after installation, and Ken (the sales guy) even stopped by towards the end of the installation to ensure everything was going smoothly. I can't recommend this company enough. You won't be disappointed! read more

I found John from Imperial windows through yelp. We shopped around and John offered the best prices- he was very easy to work with. He was very thorough, informative, and answered all out questions and concerns. We are very happy with our sunscreens and our house already feels cooler.....Money well spent :) read more

Had john come out about 2 weeks ago to give me a estimate on some sun screens. His presentation was the best out of all estimates i got. It took about a week to get them installed. They look awesome and would recommend him to anyone. read more

John Uptegrove from Imperial does a great job! I've had him do sunscreens on 2 houses and plantation shutters on another home. His work is impeccable! The finished look really is dramatic. I can't recommend him highly enough! He has great attention to detail and his prices are more than fair for the quality he delivers. read more

Called John last summer to replaced 14 windows and 3 glass only. Great customer service and he came out and walked around the house to check that everything was correct after the job was completed. I found John to be very friendly, informative and personable. I ended up having Imperial do the work I requested. I went with the local window maker and WOW those windows kick butt. Heavy duty and you cant beat the price. The house stayed warmer and my heater did not turn on as often. Waiting to see this summer since I got the windows last July. Cant wait to see how the windows do a whole summer this year. Thank John and his Crew, excellent Job. read more

Fantastic company, incredible service, fully satisfied, would recommend to all friends with no doubt. First Ken arrived as promised, took all preliminary measurements and got us an estimate pretty quickly. Then, after we accepted, he sent one of his crew installers and John took the precise measurements. The order was done the same day. A few weeks later the windows and the door were ready and Ken contacted me and scheduled 3 days. The crew arrived as promised, did the job. They don't hesitate to help with blinds and other stuff, then returned everything back to the original stage. One of the windows was damaged during delivery and they made an emergency order, so it arrived and was installed next week. John and his crew were extremely detailed, answered all questions and we are the people enjoying the new just installed windows and one replaced garage door. Great job, guys, thanks! read more

Excellent job from beginning to end. Very professional and kind. Great customer service, helped me with SRP rebate as well. Will use them again when I install patio door. read more

Excellent work and very reasonable prices! John was extremely helpful in providing a detailed estimate and timely service. He was able to address a very specific custom order of mine and he also filled out the necessary rebate information. During the process we were in direct communication via phone/text which I loved. I would highly recommend Imperial Windows. read more

I COULD NOT be happier with my new windows!!! I set up the appointment with John to come replace the 5 windows in my house that weren't double pane, and about a month and a half later his partners Jose and Jorge came out and did a fabulous job. They were professional and quick! They were in and out in about 3 1/2 hours and cleaned up everything. I will definitely be using them when it's time to replace the other three windows in my house. read more

Received a reasonable quote from John and quickly selected Imperial Home Improvement to install sun screens on several of my windows. John also informed me about the SRP rebate program that I would be eligible for. John recommended the 90% sun screens and it made a drastic difference in cooling the hottest room in the house!! John was very personable and professional and he made me feel comfortable with the entire process, too. I plan to have John come back to screen or re-screen other windows. I highly recommend Imperial Home Improvement to everyone. read more

We got new windows and shutters from Imperial. We got about 8 quotes and decided to go with Imperial. I am extremely happy with the product and the service. John is awesome and you get top notch service and price from someone who is local and is passionate about making his customers happy. The installation team performed exceptionally and finished work on-time. I recommend Imperial if you want quality product, excellent installation, and great service. Thanks John! read more

I choose Imperial based on other yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. John and Kyle were professional, friendly and left my house spotless after installation. Ken was exceptionally helpful in helping me decide on styles/colors and very patient with me when I kept making changes to the order. The windows were delivered when he said they would be and installation was done quickly. I am very pleased with my purchase and the customer service I received from Imperial! read more

I called several different companies, and I went went John and Imperial, because of the questions he asked, that the other sales people never brought up. He had great input, but also let me listened to me and my questions, about the product and the Installation. When it came time to install the windows, everything went smooth. Jose and his crew, were great. They arrived at the correct time, and did their best at keep the work area clean and safe while at my house. The windows ended up looking great, I would use this company again for sure!! read more

These people were great from beginning to end (with a tiny glitch in the middle) I scheduled an appointment with Bob for a quote. He was right on time, friendly and professional. He gave me two options for brand new windows within my price range and wasn't too pushy. I received a quote the following day, that included tax, installation, and screens. I was just about ready to say go ahead when I realized I hadn't gotten two other estimates as one should. I called other companies for estimates. Some wouldn't take an order as small as mine (two custom windows). Some of the people were rude and some made getting an estimate so arduous and confusing. I finally set one appointment, which I canceled the next day after thinking if it was this hard to make an appointment, what would the rest of the process be like? I called Bob to go ahead and order the windows and we set an installation date and time. (The glitch) When installation day came Bob called me and had to reschedule. The frame color was wrong, and they hadn't seen it until that morning. Yes, I was annoyed. Geez, open the carton and check when you get something in people! But, I am sure that is a mistake that will never happen again.) John, the owner contacted me with apologies and a, probably more than, fair compensation for my inconvenience and we rescheduled. On the day of the installation two installers, young, polite and friendly fellows arrived 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time. It took just under the estimated time to install the windows. They cleaned up EVERYTHING so that, other than the new pretty and very clean windows, one wouldn't know they'd been there. Everyone makes a mistake from time to time. I don't think the particular error in my case will ever occur again with this company. How the persons responsible for the company handle errors is crucial, and these people handled it honorably. The windows are better than I'd hoped. (They have some security-latchy thing that is awesome!) The installers are knowledgeable without being know-it-alls and personable. I would, and likely will use Imperial Windows again in a heartbeat. read more

John the owner, and Jose the installer were both great. I have never replaced windows before so I got 3 quotes originally. John was honest with me and didn't try to oversell or over charge me. Everything was installed on time and looks great! I've still got to paint the stucco repair in a couple weeks when it cures but the repair needed was minimal due to a great instillation. Would highly recommend. read more

Ken and company did a fantastic job for us. We had 5 upstairs windows we needed to replace, the quote came in much lower than our other chosen options, they made all appointments on time, and returned all phone calls quickly. Also VERY trustworthy -- due to an emergency situation, we were there to let them in the house but then had to leave them alone to work all day and close up the house when they were done. They even had to handle a signed but blank check that we hadn't finished filling out (yikes!!!) They were completely professional, felt like they treated us like family, and the windows look and work great. It rained the very next day, so while I'm bummed my new windows got spotted right away, we were able to see if there were any leaks or installation issues. Nope! Everything was perfect. We will be calling them to finish our downstairs windows next. read more

Perfect Solution! I called John in desperate need of shade screens. Two rooms in particular were getting blasted by the sun and very uncomfortable to be in--the master bedroom and my sons' room. John showed me options for shade screens that would solve my problem. I asked for his recommendation and the following week my custom screens were in. John's recommendation was the PERFECT SOLUTION and immediately there was a DRASTICALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT in the rooms. The master bath no longer feels like a sauna and my boys will actually sleep through the night in their room again. Thank you so much John for your superior customer service and professional installation. ~Team Burch read more

Couldn't have been more impressed by John & team. We had the windows throughout our home replaced last year. The immediate impact/improvement to both the reduction of outside noise & temperature control was outstanding. This was hands-down a great investment. The price was pretty middle-of-the-road. We had a couple of quotes higher & a few lower, but we are extremely happy that we ended up using Imperial for the job. Dust from the project was a huge concern for me, and I was shocked at how clean the process was & what a great job the team did to contain any dust/mess. They even finished the job in less time than originally quoted. We've just purchased a second home & will absolutely be using Imperial for all of our window/sunscreen needs. read more

We were doing a lot of work in our house and we were looking for the best quality products for the best price. We got 5 different companies to come to our house and give us quotes. Imperial was by far the best quality for the best price. They didn't waste our time with hours of trying to sell us crazy expensive windows (like 2 of the other companies). They did show us sample windows and explained how they work. We were happily surprised when we saw the price. Thank you Imperial Windows & Sunscreens, we love our new windows!! I still keep touching the inside of the windows and I'm amazed that, in this crazy hot Arizona weather, they are cool to the touch!! :) read more

John did a great job on our screens at a great price. We highly recommend him and we will be using Imperial again in the future.

Purchased several sunscreens. Project was simple, on time and on budget.

We had 1 window & sliding screen door replaced 10/2015. We were very pleased with both the service John provided us during the whole process as well as the installation process. Due to the service we received, we decided to have the rest of the windows replaced on the house 2/2017. It was no surprise that the service the second time around was just as professional as the first time. The prices are reasonable and the quality is better than I expected. I will use Imperial again and I definitely recommend Imperial Windows to others read more

Before I wrote a review, I wanted to evaluate the product. As you can see with my 5 star rating, I am elated. I have had the screens on my house for about a month now and my upstairs is now livable and much cooler without keeping my a/c on so much to compensate for the heated windows. I thank you Ken, Kyle and John for delivering a superior product and caring customer service. When we are ready to do the back of the house, you will hear from me! I highly recommend Imperial! read more

We were in need of an 8' patio door replacement. We did our 'due diligence' and obtained a few estimates. We decided to go with Imperial Windows & Sunscreens for a few reasons; no sales pressure, no gimmicks, no up-selling, reasonable price. All our questions were answered and the process was explained. Bob was personable, courteous and responsive. John, (the owner) followed up to schedule and confirm installation date. The install went well. We are happy and would highly recommend read more

Do NOT shop any further. I shopped and received quotes from 5 other window businesses and was frustrated with the variance in price and quality. The really scary thing was reading the reviews on those companies, some good and a lot not so good. I just couldn't commit to any of them. Then I found Imperial Windows & Sunscreens. I met with Ken in sales and was impressed with his knowledge and demeanor. The product was quality but that was not what sold me. The reviews for this business are top of the stars. And so many people can't be wrong. John the owner called twice to confirm the install date. His install staff was top notch. I can't thank installer John, Roy, Corey and Chris for a meticulous and respectful installation. I was impressed with the cleanliness that they left. This crew is the best and so appreciated. In fact, after this project, I met with Bob their blinds manager and ordered 5 blinds to compliment my new windows. Because my experience with this company was so outstanding, I am giving them the most stars available. Please give them call. read more

We got sunscreens installed by John. John was great, on time and professional. He even helped us fill out forms for the SRP sunscreen rebates. The sunscreens look awesome, John knows how to make them actually look good. Ours has a grid pattern on them to match the windows. Price was right too, comparable with other estimates from other companies (who probably would have given us an inferior product). read more

We bought a 1960's ranch and needed to have many of the original single pane windows and two sets of French doors replaced with sliding doors. We selected Imperial Home Improvement for the job based on John's professionalism, communication and pricing. I'm always impressed when email correspondence is well-written and timely - John's was both. In addition, he returned calls when I had questions and always worked hard to make sure I had the information I needed prior to making a decision. We selected the Simonton brand and couldn't be happier. They are solid windows - energy efficient and very nice looking too. During the installation John and his assistant worked hard to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend Imperial Home Improvement, a competent, trustworthy and highly professional operation. read more

What a great company and product! Ken, their outstanding sales manager, came out to my home to go over the choices I would have for my window replacements. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and never pushy! I had 4 total quotes for 22 windows and 1 patio door but I chose Imperial Windows and Sunscreens because this company came in at a reasonable price with a quality product! John, the owner, came during the installation and showed how to work the new windows. Ken was here every day! I am sending out big KUDOS to the super installation crew - John, Chris, Cody, and Kyle! They were personable and professional! They arrived on time every day, answered all my questions (sorry guys), and worked so hard to make sure the window installations were done properly - during the pouring rain!! They cleaned up every day before they left my home. I felt valued as a customer! I highly recommend Imperial Windows and Sunscreens for their professionalism, great product, and wonderful service! read more

Highly recommend this company and Ken Griggs. He helped me replace all of my East/West Windows past month. Some were arched windows, and very large picture windows. I researched windows for about 8 months before I decided to go with Imperial. I have some windows that required more noise control, and my research was valuable as I learned about window depths, etc. I considered glass replacement, as well as new windows and after talking/meeting with several window company options, was not "sure" about any of the companies I met with. When I met Ken, discussed window options and received his quote, I was ready to move forward. He knows the business, is conscientious about the process and making sure that all goes well. Once we agreed to buy, our installer ( who has been with the company for many years ) came out for a final measure. Our windows are amazing, and I am very happy. Day of install, Ken was here to make sure all was perfect. Thank you to this company, Ken and John ( install) for a great experience and result. read more
