In my very strategic process of shopping for a vehicle, Imperial Highline was one of my top three picks. I've read through some of these reviews and in my interaction with these guys, they don't deserve such pretentious nonsense from online reviewers. They most certainly don't deserve 1.5 stars. (One reviewer was "traumatized" by their car buying experienced? Really? Get a life. I'm glad some of you consider your cars an expensive 'toy', but here on planet earth it's a necessity.) Sam was very helpful, down to earth, and honest about what I wanted to buy and the trade in I presented. My wife was very impressed with him, and that's hard feat to accomplish when it comes to sales people. She's usually skeptical of all of them (because she married one). I felt like I was negotiating with a neighbor, not some guy behind a desk with a cute little uniform and a script. Their inventory is fairly priced, the website was easy to navigate, they were very responsive, and they were as transparent as possible when it came to the information on their products. Could not have had a better experience! I called to schedule my appointment for a used Tesla Imperial High-line had in stock. When I arrived, the vehicle was cleaned up and ready to go for me. I Worked with Peter who was friendly, professional and helped us in a pressure-free way. My wife and I did a lot of research and the price was considerably lower than anything else we had seen. They were not joking when they said they have more Used Tesla's than a Tesla dealership. Once we decided on the car, we signed all the paperwork and drove out in less than 45 minutes. Bobby the financing manager gave us an excellent rate! The rate was even better than the bank that already Pre-approved me. After the sale, we forgot our sunglasses and our garage door opener, which peter mailed to me. I am very happy to give Peter and Imperial Highline our business and would highly recommend! read more

ORIGINAL REVIEW***Car as pictured and described on internet was inaccurate. The car had lots of cosmetic damages on outside. Literally every side of the car had scratches/chips. The car drove well and seemed mechanically fine, but the condition of the paint was unacceptable. I don't recommend trading here. They will offer you a very low number. Even CarMax offered more, which they said they'd match. But we all know CarMax offers are low as well. Go to a more reputable dealer. I'm giving them 2/5 because the staff was friendly. They were very busy and I had to wait for a while, but they did their best to deliver a good customer experience.*** *Edit - Downgraded to 1/5 stars from 2/5 stars due to the snarky response and shady behavior after some valid criticism was pointed out in the original review. They offered $16,000 for a car that was worth $22,000 rough trade. Another dealer traded $24,000 for the same car they claim they offered a "Fair Value" for. Now you guys have proven you are liars as well. Edit #2: The dealer has now resorted to threats to get a valid review taken down. I have only put up ONE review. Go ahead and waste your money and time. You are just digging a deeper hole and proving the credibility of my review. I never once told them I wanted $24,000 for my trade. Edit #3: The dealer has now resorted to harassing me. The Google Voice # I gave them has had 6 calls in rapid fire. Then to top it off they used a free pranking service that left a voicemail @ 7:04 AM EST the next day after the initial review. The service PrankDial.com is cooperating with me and this will be used in a harassment lawsuit against Imperial Highline if they do not cease and desist. They've also been notified to cease and desist all further contact with me. It also has come to my attention they went through my car's personal belongings while I was test driving one of their cars. The comments they made about my vehicle were warranty covered items the original dealer of my car fixed that I had in service records. None of those items are currently any issue and they are just attempting to make it seem like their $16,000 offer was reasonable when it was not. My vehicle was in Good-Excellent condition and while speaking with Fahim he even complimented the vehicle but said he didn't know much about that Make/Model. As stated above, I received a $24,000 trade at another dealer so their story about me threatening them with a bad review in another obvious lie. Upon realizing that they had gone through my personal items, I discovered they have stolen at least one item of value from the car. Beware of this dealer and don't leave your car unattended while they "Assess the Value". That's exactly what they want you to do. Originally I believed the dealer just delivered a less than expected product, but wasn't malicious. Their behavior after my original review has shown me otherwise. They care about their online reputation, which is fine and good. However they go to any length to get bad reviews changed/removed including threatening lawsuits, harassment, and lying. Car dealerships already have a terrible reputation for ripping people off. Don't go to a dealership like this one where they have shown a repeated capacity and willingness to lie, harass, and threaten someone who simply pointed out they were attempting to sell a car in "Fair" condition for "Excellent" condition Retail prices. The car's shift knob wasn't even original. Fahim lied about that to my face, as though I don't know what the original shifter looks like. He claimed maybe it wasn't installed correctly. It had nothing to do with the way it was installed. It was an aftermarket low quality shift knob. They probably sold the original shift knob to make an extra buck. I'm not responsible for any fake reviews. If you honestly feel you are the victim of fake reviews, report it to Google and they will help you remove those reviews. Im an out of state customer and I saw an ad for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee online and fell in love with the car. I called first thing in the morning and spoke with Nick where I expressed my interest in the car and my intent of driving up the next day to purchase the car. I communicated with him the entire day to get the bill of sale for my credit union and called the dealership at 4 pm to update him that I had everything together on my end, but I spoke with someone who told me he was unavailabe. I tried again at 6 pm where I spoke to a lady that said he was busy and I told her to let him know that I would be leaving NC at 4am and would get to the dealership by the time they open the next day to buy the car. I get a call an hour later from the same lady telling me that someone walked in 15 minutes til close and they sold the car I was planning to buy. I was extremely disappointed as I wasted so much time getting everything I needed together to purchase the car the next day, just for them to sell it to someone "15 minutes before closing". I spoke with the general manager Marino where he explained how it was an unfortunate situation and how I shouldve came to get the car sooner because they operate on a "first come first serve basis" (regardless of how far a customer is in the buying process apparently). He assured me that he would look for a similar Jeep for me and call me back the next day with updates and I have yet to hear from him. I have called 3 days in a row and have been given exuses by several employees about why I cannot get in contact with Marino. All the while, I have a check made out to Imperial Highline from my bank that must be reversed, my car search has been delayed, and I have to start the search/buying process again from scratch. My experience has been extremely disorganized and the customer service has been less than subpar. I got an "I could care less" attitude from the employees who I explained my situation to and through the lack of initiative to find a solution by the General Manager. I am fully confident that if I had not called again at 6pm that day to attempt to get in contact with Nick, they would not have informed me about the sale of the car to another person and I woud have been met with the news the next morning after driving 4 hours from NC to Virginia. read more

In response to the owners comment, I am that Danielle Johnson from 2015. Navy blue range rover sport supercharged with miles in the low 60's. I traded in a Dodge Charger. I didn't even mention the busted CD player, car locks and broken key (which is the one thing Imperial did replace surprisingly). This experience traumatized me so much and I'm still trying to recover from the damage this has done to my credit. I'm no hoax. I was your customer!! What can you possibly do to fix this now? You can't do anything. I begged for your assistance when I was going through this and you never fixed the issue which was the supercharger the entire time. You people had NO business selling that POS to anyone but you just wanted to make a buck. It's taken me awhile to write this review as I was so deeply violated by this dealership that I couldn't bring myself to even write this review. My dream car was a Range Rover Sport. I wanted one my whole life and I scrimped and saved to be able to afford it. I saved 7k for my maintenance alone because I wanted to be responsible. I went in to Imperial Highline and everyone was so nice and shiny and full of conversation. I trusted them when they told me how lucky I was to be buying my dream car with such low miles on it. I was thrilled until I drove off the lot, got 10 miles from home and the check engine light came on. I was totally blindsided. I just signed papers minutes earlier and put money down and was facing this monumental problem. I immediately called the dealership and spoke to MY salesman, the slick and shiny Fahim, that assured me he would make it right. So I brought it back like they said and they kept it 3 days and then told me to come pick it up. I picked it up and before I made it home the check engine light was back on. I brought my truck back 3 times until I took it to a mechanic that told me that the reason the check engine light kept coming on was because the supercharger was burnt out and had been for a while. I told the folks at Imperial what the issue was and that it was going to cost almost 5 grand to fix. They told me they they had done what they had done already as a courtesy and that they wouldn't be doing anything else. They had zero honor as I cried on the phone. I ended up having to pay for it out of pocket. 3 weeks later the hydraulic system went. That was 2k. Eventually this lemon they sold me sucked me dry and ate up all my reserves within less than 3 months of ownership. I ended up having to give it back to the bank and it ruined my credit. DO NOT TRUST THESE HEARTLESS PEOPLE. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR FINANCES BY SELLING YOU A LEMON AND THEN JUST WALK AWAY. If only zero stars was an option. Like many of you I would have never gone to IMPERIAL HIGHLINE if I had read the reviews. Makes you wonder about the veracity of the few positive reviews when one started off "After reading the reviews...[I went to Highline]" BS. So I have the same advice - do not go there. Period. They are very good at what they do. Here is my story when looking to buy a 2015 BMW 435i convertible from these guys (still on the lot as of this posting). When bringing together the sales documents the salesman indicated that there was a problem with the CarFax. The problem was that CarFax was showing the title as being Flood Damage. He then showed me a copy of the title and pointed out that it did not indicate any flood damage. Let me say that again, he handed me a "copy" of the title. Never indicated why he didn't have the original title but I let it play out. If you have ever bought or sold a car you will understand the significance of this. The CarFax showed the car was sold and titled in January 2015, but then a flood title was issued in February 2015. The copy of the title he showed me was dated February 2015. He avoided discussing the original title and date but kept assuring me that they were currently on the phone with CarFax trying to sort it out. He then speculated that the prior owner probably falsely claimed the car was flood damaged in order to get a flood title and avoid paying personal property tax. Only problem is that this was a lease and the title was held by BMW's leasing group. So now my BS meter is going crazy. His manager then joined in with the efforts that they had been making to correct the situation, but giving inconsistent time frames as to their efforts. But he assured me the title was clean and that this was a CarFax mistake but that it could takes weeks to clear up. I walked from the deal and went on-line with DMV and paid $12 to run the VIN. Turns out DMV's records confirmed what was reported to CarFax - the title showed extensive water damage. What are the odds that guys in the business couldn't figure out what i figured out in 5 minutes? There are a number of other issues with the vehicle that indicate water/flood damage that I won't go into here. You can draw your own conclusions regarding whether or not the title was clean and what IMPERIAL HIGHLINE and its employees knew. For me I'm going to let the experts make the determination as I am forwarding everything to the DMV Law Enforcement Department. read more

Before the manager replies to this review with something like: "We're sorry you had this experience, as it doesn't match up with what we aim to deliver,"--save it. I was fully invested in this purchase with the cash in my hand. I'd already spoken to my boss about taking a few days off of work, and per your request I even called the shop doing the inspection to give them my credit card info to make sure your porters wouldn't be inconvenienced by waiting on me to pay the inspection fee. I'd spoken to Peter and Salim about the silver 435i and we'd agreed on a price, pending a clean pre-purchase inspection. The sales manager gave his approval. Salim said his porters would drive the car to Manassas Autowerkes (233 ft. up the road) for an inspection, which I was paying for. The next afternoon, Manassass Autowerkes called me saying the car was never delivered. I called Imperial Highline to ask where the car was and was told that Salim wasn't working today and nobody could take the car until after Thanksgiving. I was then told that in actuality, another buyer had offered to buy the car without an inspection and that was the reason the car was never dropped off. I argued that we already had a deal and the car should not be sold unless I backed out, as they accepted my offer and if all was as they claimed, the inspection should come out clean. I was promised a call back from the manager but never got one. I called several times later on but nobody answered until I called from a different number. The manager picked up and was completely unapologetic for wasting both the shop's time and mine and said it was 'first come first serve' despite the fact that they'd agreed to drop the car off, and if I wanted it I should just come in person. I told him the entire reason for the inspection was bebcause I'm out of state. He claimed there was not another buyer and that they were simply short-staffed. He said it would have to be another day, and the next day the ad was removed. I'm extremely upset as I'm sure you can imagine and was treated with no respect despite being completely upfront and showing that I was 100% serious about buying the car. I would never waste my time with these idiots again even if another deal like this came along--it's worth it to find a dealer with more integrity. Caveat Emptor...let the buyer beware. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a very high end vehicle. They were very nice at the dealership even reducing the price by $500 to $46,000 ( not really much on a very high end car but it was something). Interestingly told that it passed VA inspection but since I live in Maryland I should find an inspector who was someone that I knew well or planned to use as a future mechanic to perform the inspection (an oddly interesting recommendation but I just let it go). Over the first week of ownership I found a number of wear and tear repairs that needed to be made, but the car is a 2010 so I was not worried and chalked it up to high end car maintenance. Got to the MD inspection and the car failed due to wiper blades (easy) and leaking power steering rack (not so good). the parts and labor on the power steering is nearly $6,000! The dealer indicated that the car was a VA car and passed VA inspection and that they have no responsibility for it passing another State's inspection. Something about the out of State business rules of the company. And also that the power steering is not a safety issue, but just a potential future problem (really!?!). When I asked what they would do, they offered to find me someone who would do the work cheaper than the dealership in Maryland. when I pressed them on it I was told that they made me that offer as a "courtesy" but that this was all that they would do. I notice that this word "courtesy" has been reported by other buyers in other reviews as their standard wording when blowing you off. And I was told that that offer stands if I ever want to use it (nice) but that was all they would offer me (not good customer service at all). So all totaled I am facing a repair bill of $8,200 on a car that I just paid $46,000 for three weeks ago. I will not use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. I think I will stick to the well known and reputable dealerships from now on. I close by saying I really do wish I had read these Yelp reviews ahead of time. Shame on me. So we looked at an Aston Martin there a few months ago. It made funny noises so we opted not to pursue it. And they mix in cars among their fleet that have accident reports and they do not disclose or reduce the price. That car we wanted had a clean car fax but it was priced high. We went in and were treated horribly. I told Pat we were interested in the car but needed to test drive it, especially because of that noise it had made. He said you get what you get when you buy and they don't allow test drives. He said if we could prove we had either a loan approved or the cash we could test drive it, but that was because I pushed the issue. We asked about the clutch. He had no information on it, but he said he drove it and it drove fine. Clutches cost six thousand and his saying that it drove fine does not give us a clue to clutch life. He was very nasty. I will never buy a car from that place. And they didn't answer the phone at their main number. Seems like a shady dealership to me. read more
