Kung Pao Chicken - Very Bland
Irene S.

I used to like the food at this restaurant. But over the years it seems that this is becoming a tourist trap and food is going downhill it's becoming bland. Which is unfortunate because they used to have decent flavor that you can enjoy. And they're even charging for hot water. Service is reasonable not too slow. Ambiance it hasn't changed and it's ok nothing too special about it.

Pretty good chinese food for this area! Friendly service. Came here for dinner one night and it was a nice experience. We ordered the sweet sour soup, beef broccoli, and a chow mein to share. The food came out very quickly which was a huge plus since we were starving! PortIon size is very good and the food was delicious. Service was nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Parking was super easy, bathrooms are clean.

We had such a great experience. The staff was nice, the food was delicious, and so were the drinks. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. The food tasted really fresh and flavorful. Will be back for sure next time we are in Bishop.

Leftover fried rice has a bug in it.

It's nice having Chinese food close by. Whenever I head down to Bishop I stop here for lunch or dinner! Yum!

Terrible service. There are at least 4 empty tables on one side of the restaurant, but the waitress told us to wait for 10 min.

Staff was very genuinely friendly, nice and efficient. Ambience is so so cute! The restaurant is shaped like a merry go round and has awesome decor. Plenty of vegetarian options. They even have resident well behaved and very beloved pit bull 'blue' in residence. He does not bother diners. And accepts petting like a gentleman. Definitely worth the visit! So we went there on a Wednesday night and first off it is so darling. The inside doesn't have tons of tables, but we were lucky to get one. Love the history and vibe that's in the restaurant. It's super cute. They have a big menu with all kinds of food. I was excited to see vegan and gluten-free options. I got a Kung pao tofu which was delicious and my mom got one of the specials, teriyaki which the waitress happily helped her choose. The servings were large. An older man, I don't know if he was the manager or owner, stop by to check on us and chat with us several times as he was doing with other people in the restaurant, very friendly. We both needed to-go bags and ate it as our lunch the next day. I also got a nice sake to go with my meal. It was a super memorable dinner and definitely recommend to anyone. in fact, I recommended it to some hikers the next day.

There's an unspoken law about Asian restaurants: the closer the dining room gets to majority Asian,…read morethe more you can trust the food is authentic. Well, for a Chinese restaurant tucked deep in a white neighborhood, Dynasty Chinese Cuisine breaks this law. Food: 5/5 From our first bite, we could tell everything was made in-house. The crispy potsticker wrapper did not taste like it came frozen from a Bibigo bag, and the egg roll filling tasted fresh. The Black Pepper Beef Skillet came out still sizzling and smoking, and the meat was tender and moist. We also ordered the BBQ Pork Chow Fun, and the noodles had a balanced smoky flavor. The meat was also tender. From our photos, you could see a hefty portion of meat in each dish. This is one of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and for the price point, this place deserves the elusive 5 out of 5. Service: 4.5/5 There appears to be one server manning the floor the majority of the time, but the owner came out to check in on patrons. Both were super friendly and attentive, chatting with us about recommendations and welcoming us to the area. The service was fast. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 This restaurant is a proper casual Chinese restaurant, and the atmosphere reflects that. We did not expect it to be as lively as it was when we came in for lunch at 1:30pm on a weekday. The noise levels and music were not offensive. And the place is incredible clean! The dining floor and bathroom looked well-maintained and clear of any debris. I would recommend this restaurant for a dinner date for one, a family meal, or takeout. Final rating: 4.5/5 (rounding up to 5 on Yelp)

Sun China has consistently served good meals to my family for over a decade now. We've ordered…read moredine-in and take-out, and have enjoyed our food, which has primarily been: chicken salad, chow mein, and rice. We've ordered other menu items, such as sesame chicken and egg foo young and we've liked those as well. While there's nothing wrong with dining in, I've personally preferred picking up food for take-out. Part of the reason for this is that the restaurant can get a bit cramped during peak times and there can be a lot happening with ordering, bussing tables, and whatnot. However, dining in during non-peak times has been delightful. I recommend eating at/ordering food from Sun China! I'm glad to eat here when visiting home, and am happy to experience a consistent level of quality when it comes to the food and service.

Being in town, she requested we get dinner here. The restaurant has been around for years. I remember coming here as a kid but now as an adult, we rarely dine here. Not much has changed. It gives a neighborhood restaurant vibe--cozy, and smallish, fish tank, and artwork. Service was alright, not really friendly but just that they were trying to get their job done. I called in our order and everything came out fine and semi-fast. Grandma and I shared the House Special Chop Suey and Sweet and Sour Pork. The portions are quite big and the entrees come out to over $15 per dish. A bit steep for the quality. The Chop Suey was our favorite--a bit of everything and nicely sauced. We'd order this again and again! Sweet and sour pork was underwhelming. No seasoning, vegetables are practically hard and still raw, and barely any pork under all the fried stuff. Wouldn't order that again. If you live in Reedley, there are only two Chinese restaurants and Sun China Chinese Restaurant is one of them. Depending on the dish it can either be a hit or miss. I wouldn't come back for myself but would if my Grandma or family were craving it.
