All seemed good--until they brought out my husband's bike, which turned out to have completely different specs than what was originally offered. We began discussing alternatives with the salesperson, and my husband started trying other models. Suddenly, the salesperson walked off to the parking lot because a friend of his had arrived. They came inside, but instead of continuing to help us, the salesperson turned his full attention to his friends and completely ignored us, it wasn't just a moment, it was at least 15-20 min, So we left. Thankfully, we then went to a store in Whitby where the experience was completely different. We were warmly welcomed, given clear explanations of so many options, and ended up purchasing two bikes very quickly. That's how customer service should be.

All of Andy's staff are also helpful and knowledgeable especially Ryan who took the time to help me pick out the perfect bike helmet while Andy was getting my bike ready. Before making the purchase, he asked great questions to determine what type of bike would fit my needs then showed me to those types of models. I was able to ride a couple of bikes to get a feel for the difference and determine which I liked better. In the end I went with the purple 2017 Specialized Vita model in small. It rides so smooth, is comfortable and brings back that feeling of freedom, pure joy and FUN! I had forgotten how amazing it feels to ride a bicycle since I haven't had one in over 25 years!! I'm so looking forward to taking this awesome piece of perfection on the road. Unfortunately my Co2 inflator malfunctioned: I had a repaired tire but no air. A quick online search showed that Dream Cyclery was just a few blocks away. I knew as a reputable shop that they would have air available for those who need it in a pinch. And yes, as I arrived, there was the air hose as I had hoped. Noticing it was only Schraeder-ready I went into the shop to borrow an adapter and say thanks for the rescue. No thanks needed. Just 5 bucks. That's right, any cyclist with Presta valves must pay for the tiny brass adapter in order to use the "free air." The staffer seemed embarrassed to be charging me $5 for a piece that costs no more than a nickel. With the next nearest bike shop a significant walk away, I had no other choice. How chintzy is that! It wouldn't be so obnoxious if they were charging a dollar to cover the cost of providing them, or asking for a donation to a favourite charity (Cycle Toronto?) but this feels likes mean-spirited gouging. Looks like a nice shop. Sorry I will not be visiting again.

From the start, their custom service was outhandling. We rented the one bike for three hours (the half day rental) and we were a bit concerned that we might not be back within the three hour period because we wanted to ride as far as the falls. They said not to worry about being late with the return if needed, they are lenient. We also asked them if we could borrow a hex key to raise the handlebars on my bike. A short time later, not only did someone came out to the parking lot with a hex torque wrench, but he also made the adjustments to my handlebars. However, he found that after raising the handlebars, the brake cables would no longer reach, so we took the bike into the shop and two people started working on setting up my front brakes. After they finished, they said that the work would be no charge because we rented a bike from them, but I asked them how much this adjustment would have cost. They said about five dollars, which I thought was very reasonable. So, on my insistence, I paid the five dollars anyway because they deserved it for demonstrating good customer service, in going out of their way, and for the time they spent to adjust my bike. In addition to their excellent customer service, the bike that we rented was in excellent shape and very well maintained. The bike was a Trek hybrid bike and cost $20.00 for the three hours (we returned it on time, so we didn't test their leniency after all).
