Pad Kra Pao
Tamara R.

Stopped in for a quick lunch - they have good lunch specials. I was seated quickly and the hostess was very friendly and polite. She's also the person to take your food order. It's a small place with limited seating but quite cozy. I had the Pad Kra Pao and while the meat was tasty, the egg was overcooked. I did have to ask for the condiment caddy to add a little heat. I would still return for lunch as there's not much competition in the area and the service was pleasant.

Located in fidi within walking distance of the MTA 1 and the NY/NJ PATH, the restaurant is in a pretty convenient spot for tourists and locals alike. We got to the restaurant a little late and a little before the kitchen was about to close. They were still happy to have us and provided quick and friendly service. The crab fried rice and the seafood tom yum soup was delicious. The flan as dessert was a nice touch and a definite must have. We'll be back for more! I would highly recommend this place if you have a craving for Thai food in the NYC area.

Today I stopped by here after seeing they had Khao Man Gai and had good reviews. I want to give 3 and a half stars, but can't. I ordered Khao Man Gai and Shrimp Dumplings Shrimp dumplings - good, ALOT of shrimp, the shrimp were big, the sauce had a VERY light tom yum flavor. Very good dish overall. Khao man gai - pretty tender, not that juicy, ginger rice could use more ginger. Overall: The Shrimp Dumplings are the mvp, the Khao Man gai is not as good as a few other places I've been, but it's not bad. Place is worth going to.

Hole in the wall in fidi! I'm not sure why this place isn't more popular! Very good and quick service! Papaya salad was perfect on all the flavors but doesn't come spicy really (even though it says spicy) I prefer extra spicy so i need to ask next time. Honey Ribs were SOOOOO good, definitely on the sweet and sticky side but so good. Had to keep the sauce for my shrimp. Pad thai with rice noodles were yum. classic, on the drier side but good none the less no frills. My bf got the tomyum seafood soup that had rice noodles inside and he LOVED IT. super savory, i would prefer it more sour but he looooved it, also came w a good spice. Would return for sure and try other dishes. I will say the menu is quite limited but still delicious.

Delicious Thai food in lower Manhattan. The space is quite small but cozy. The papaya salad tasted very fresh- like they just cut the papaya! The flavor was just right- some places make it too salty or too sweet. The Thai red rib curry was recommended by the server and it was great! Tender ribs in curry sauce. Next time I would try the crab fried rice and mango sticky rice!

Stumbled upon this place during a quick trip into the city. We came around 1pm and were able to get a table right away. There's a good amount of tables and it seems pretty popular for people taking their lunch breaks. They have pretty reasonably priced lunch specials. The two of us split a Pad See Ew with chicken and the Choo Chee Pla. I also got their Butterfly Tea Lemonade. I really enjoyed the Pad See Ew. There wasn't anything wrong with the Choo Chee Pla but I'd skip it next time. We also ordered a Mango Sticky Rice at the end of our meal. Our food came out pretty quickly so we were surprised at how long our dessert took. It felt like maybe they had forgotten about it.

what a great & lowkey Thai spot in the seaport area! (located on the busy Nassau street). Came in and was surprised to see seating in the back as I always thought this was a takeout spot lol. Sat down and got my order in pretty quickly. Food came out pretty quickly as well, we got the pad see ew, honey ribs & tom yum soup w/ Jasmine rice. Everything was great and I don't have any complaints. Portions were pretty big and def had some leftovers to bring home to enjoy for another day :) i definitely recommend the ribs as they aren't something you see usually in a Thai restaurant but it hit!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the 911 memorial/museum and we were pleasantly surprised. They have a small area for seating inside and we didn't have to wait 9/10 Thai tea - not too sweet and the tea flavor was very good 8/10 pad see ew - noodles were cooked well, but portion for lunch, lacking spice (I also didn't ask so not a negative) 9/10 Ground pork dish - spicy and delicious, rice was cooked perfectly

Came here on a hunch plus it's a new place to me I use to work in the area. I got the Pad See Ew with chicken and it is so good. Ngl I was thinking no because they use peanuts in alot of dishes but i asked and he said no. I got the lunch special and it's a very healthy amount so I can imagine what the dinner portion is like. I am definitely going back and before it comes too cold. Treat yourself if you are in the area

Came here with my friends for a Sunday lunch. The place is small with about 5-7 tables. We were quickly seated for a table of 5. One we say, the waitress came & took out drink order. We were hungry so decided to order food immediately for table sharing. The service was good though for Thai the price was on the higher end. There were hit & misses for me in the dishes. Hit: Chicken in cashew nut (spicy to warm those who can't handle spice); salmon curry; seafood Tom yum noodle soup (good amount of seafood) Misses: pad See yew (soggy & too soft to my liking), green curry (watery); spring rolls (had corn which I had never had in any Asian version of spring rolls incl. Thai) If I come back I would only come back for pad grow or seafood noodle soup.

Stopped by this unassuming Thai restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was full, despite it being a rainy Sunday evening in the financial district. The space was small and basic. The waitstaff were nice. The food was awesome and inexpensive. We tried a bunch of different things. They were all great. The standouts were the crab fried rice (which had a ton of crabmeat in it), pad Thai made with glass noodles, crispy golden honey chicken and Choo Chee Pla, which is perfectly fried cod in a mild curry sauce. Beers were $5 between 5 and 7 pm. The prices were very inexpensive. This place is a great find. I would be a regular if it were closer to home.

If you're near Wall Street and craving authentic Thai street style food, this local gem delivers. The chicken wings and Thai combination makes the perfect appetizers, packed with flavor and just the right crunch. I also had the Thai coconut seafood soup, which came beautifully presented and full of traditional herbs like galangal and lemongrass(rare to find)so well done. If you like it spicy, I'd recommend the Tom Yum soup instead. They even serve Thai beer to complete the experience.

This Thai place is so cool. It seem a bit hidden but wow was i surprised! Ambiance was great inside and food was terrific! The two main dish I really enjoyed was the honey ribs and the clear noodle Pad Thai. For me the Pat Thai was very unique because it wasn't the typical pad Thai noodle. It was the glass noodles which was a very unique take on pad Thai. I would totally recommend this dish if you're looking to try a different variant of pad thai! The honey brazed ribs were amazing! That is a must try. It wasn't sweat but not too sweat and hit just right!

The lobster is a little chewy, but the spicy claws were very flavorful. All of the crab had so much meat and the seasonings were all amazing. Surprisingly, the iron steak was one of our favorites despite this being a seafood spot. The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! Bonus: they play a great 2000s throwback playlist that got us singing along and dancing while we were peeling all our seafood to pass the time. Shoutout to whichever employee put that playlist together!

From the moment I entered the restaurant, I knew the experience was going to be next level. Thank you Jay for seating me and my friend at the best table in the house. Thank you to our phenomenal server Shamim. Your service was really over the top stellar. Soon as you sit at the table, menus are placed. Complimentary delicious bread, water, and warm hand towels are provided to clean your hands. The seafood buffet is $168 and you can order everything, as many times as you like. The buffet is contactless. The food is served to you at your table. Because the food is served in a manner that is based on a shared dining experience. All guests at the table have to order either buffet or Prix Fix menu. My order of Rockefeller oysters, and clams were simply the best I ever tasted. The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Back at the table our two servers set up a Picasso style dessert with hand drawn chocolate with the ice cream and a delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the birthday wishes, and celebration for my friend. José out did his self with his talented art skills. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.

The all-you-can-eat menu is made fresh to order, not sitting out like a typical buffet, which makes a huge difference in quality. I loved the seafood selection: lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, octopus, fish, calamari ... you name it. What really stood out to me was how much variety there is. Even the steak, fried rice, noodles, lamb, and veggies were delicious. The service was super attentive and quick with bringing out dishes. The price is definitely a splurge, but worth it for the experience and high qualit. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, over-the-top dining experience in Times Square!

I find it oftentimes to be overpriced, coming with a lot of bells and whistles and lacking in flavor compared to Little Thailand in Queens where I grew up. This place is an exception! From beginning to end everything was excellent. The pork belly was the perfect temperature of warm, tender, a bit acidic/sour (YUM), and so delightful. I can see why many reviews recommend it. The crab curry was so nice and clean and fresh. The crab was so tender, and the curry strong, and went beautifully with the rice. It's actually such a sleeper hit, and we added it onto our order last minute. The steamed branzino was delicious, too - tender, limey, sour, sweet, a little heat - it's got everything!! And it tasted so so clean. Beware! There are tiny fish bones, so be careful as you're eating it. The dessert was good too, and very authentic.
