I came to Kiki in May looking for a blonde specialist who could help mend my over processed hair and help me achieve a brighter blonde result. After an initial consult at which we talked for close to an hour where I showed her several inspo pics she scheduled me for an appointment. I show up to the first appointment and she doesn't remember who I am or what we spoke about (insists that i'm another one of her clients). After refreshing her on our conversation she says oh yeah I have you down for something else we don't have time for that appointment today and I'd also like you to start using K18 on your hair I'd like 6 more weeks of growth before I'll work on your hair (my hair is already 9 weeks grown out at this point) I'm slightly frustrated because I drove all the way to her salon for her to not realize who I am or do the service we scheduled when she could've told me she needed more growth at the consult and had me order K18 then. But, i'm a new client and really trying to be mailable so I smile and don't make a big deal of it. She suggests a haircut that day so I get a cut which I pay for at that time even though it's part of the highlight package but she reassured me she will take the amount I paid then out of the total I pay when we highlight my hair. We then schedule an appt to highlight my hair (which we were supposed to do that day) for 6 weeks later. Fast forward 6 weeks, I text her inspo pics the day before as a reminder of what I wanted. I'm a level 4 brunette wanting to be bright blonde. I even tell her in my text, i'm ready to be blonde and that my roots are so grown out. At the appt we discuss a full highlight and she suggests a root melt to make my roots not as noticeable when growing out. Not ever having had a root melt before or knowing what it is I agree. She has my inspo pics and knows I want to be bright blonde so I feel like she knows what I want it to look like. Well, the end of the appt nears and my roots are darker than they were before coming in and further down on my head. The lower part of my hair is brighter which she did well (probably put 20-30 foils in). Meanwhile I had been telling her the whole appt I don't want to see the root. Then she asks if I need a haircut, which she just did 6 weeks earlier. Now I understand not remembering every client's services but i'm thinking, "does she have no notes that she's reviewed before seeing me?" I tell her she already did one. Fast forward to paying and she charges me the whole package including the cut. We literally just talked about how she cut my hair 6 weeks ago. I tell her are you going to take out the cost of the cut? She goes, oh did you already pay for that? She knew I paid for it. She's not going to not charge a new client for a cut and take my word that I'll pay for it later. She was hoping I didn't notice. Though i'm extremely frustrated I stay calm, politely leave and even still tip her because it's the professional thing to do. I text her later letting her know that my root is just as dark as before and ask if there's a way to fix it. She says I need to sit with it for 8-10 weeks. Doesn't empathize with me or seem concerned that I spent $420 with her and i'm unhappy with the service. She says she'll schedule me for 8 weeks from then for a full highlight (which is what she was supposed to do that day!). Then I get a text saying my appt has been changed to a date and time without her even checking if it works for me. I text her the next day to politely and professionally share my feedback and let her know I don't think things are aligning and that i'm going to cancel my future appt. She proceeds to take the time to find me on Instagram and follow me but doesn't have the professionalism or decency to text me back. In the end, I'd say the only good thing I got from this 3 month saga was a recommendation for k18 (which any stylist can do) and some brightening of the bottom of my hair. Throughout the entire process, she was disorganized, forgetful, unprofessional and brash and working with her was a costly waste of time. Once you read her response to my review you will immediately see that instead of taking responsibility and trying to understand where things went wrong she has chosen to degrade the client and blatantly lie (Serious health issues? Could only come in once a quarter? What?) The only behavior that was erratic was hers, not remembering who I am, what we scheduled, whether she cut my hair or not, not charging the correct amount, etc. I think the fact that Kiki is only responding because this is a public forum but won't respond to the client individually tells you everything you need to know. She did a full set of volume lash extensions on me today, (9/24/2026) which i did NOT ask for. I came in today at the 2 week mark since my first appointment for a classic set. I had discussed with her a few things I wanted to improve and told her I was here for a 2 week FILL emphasis on FILL. She ended up removing all of my lashes without communicating with me, and completely creating a whole new volume lash set. This was not at all what I had been expecting. I had showed her a picture of how I wanted my lashes to look after the fill. She said "yea" super quick without any more communication on what she would do. I had told her I wanted the lashes a little bit more filled in because last time there were a LOT of lashes she did not lash. Barely little to any communication on her end of what she was actually doing during the service in fact she was on the phone calling the whole time. When i go to check out she tells me the total will be $120 and I said how? It's supposed to be $85 for a hybrid fill. She then proceeded to tell me they are not able to change styles, which i explained I get that and you should have told me you can't do it from the start instead of completely changing my lashes to a totally different style. She would not stop arguing with me, drawing lashes on paper, and trying to "school" me and lecture me. She leans in and says, "by the way I do not want to see you again". Essentially telling me not to come back. Victoria was complaining to me saying "you just take advantage of my time, you just taking advantage of my skill. dont come back". I clearly was telling her, No, that's not true, and I'm not doing that. I said i'm sorry you feel that way but it's not me trying to make you feel that way. I said, if you had told me you were doing a full set of volume on me, I would have said NO. Because that was NOT what I wanted nor what i asked for NOR what WE DISCUSSED. She was offering to only charge me for the $85 fill, however Victoria then proceeds to tell me "do you want me to just take them off?" In an aggressive manner. At first I did not want them off, but I also did not feel like paying after this treatment. I was about to put my card in but she was being so mean to me and I finally just said "well I'm upset now you keep arguing with me. Just go ahead and take them off". I told her that at this point I was not happy and wanted a removal. When she was doing the removal she was extremly aggressive with my eyes, brushing the lashes super hard to the point where I had to tell her "dont rip my lashes". and "your hurting me". She denied she was doing all of this, and continued to berate me saying things like that I am just "young" and that I "don't even do lashes yet" even though I literally graduated from esthetics school and am opening my own lashing suite. She was trying to school me on lashes and argue her point to me. By the time she was done with the "removal" (which wasnt even a proper removal, I still had lashes hanging on everywhere)I was close to tears. I told her "I cannot believe you would tell me you dont want to see me again. I do value your time and we MUST HAVE SOMEHOW had a miscommunication". Her disrespect and ignorant attitude to the situation wasted my time as well. I came in for my appointment at 11 and was on time, the appointment didn't start until 11:30. And this took up almost 1.5 to 2 hours of my day. Overall a big disappointment, and extremely unpleasant and unprofessional service. I would not recommend lola nails and lashes to anyone.

Last week I made a mistake and wrote down my appointment time incorrectly. I thought it was at 12:00 when it was actually at 11:00. At 11:30, the salon called to let me know I had missed my appointment and immediately charged my credit card $160. I completely understand missing an appointment is frustrating and I take responsibility for getting the time wrong. What was disappointing was there was zero willingness to work with me, despite my history as a long-standing, reliable client. I offered several solutions as I only live 5 minutes away.  My appointments always take several hours so I suggested skipping my haircut and still coming in for my highlights. Lainee admitted she had double booked my appointment so at noon she was going to start highlights on her 2nd client (while my hair processed). I then offered to come in later when the other client's color was processing for my haircut (the original plan when she double booked us), but she told me that it no longer worked for her. I get I made a mistake, but at this point it just felt like charging me a $160 fee was more important. I spent the following week trying to speak with Monique, the owner, hoping we could find a reasonable solution. A $160 fee is a significant charge, especially when there were options available to work with me, but after waiting 5 days for her to call me back I've realized this isn't a business I want to continue supporting anyway. There are too many great salons in the Broomfield area that provide great service AND appreciate their clients.
