The reviews on Groupon were great so of course I purchased the special! You must make an appointment, great! As soon as I purchased the Groupon, I called and left a message. This was Saturday evening. They're closed on Sunday so I patiently waited until Monday morning to call again. I called once Monday morning, no answer. Once more a couple hours later and a frantic woman answered the call. I told her I purchased a Groupon and wanted to make an appointment. She told me she was driving and would call me right back. Odd... So I waited an hour. Two hours. Several hours. No response. I really need my nails done! So I got in touch with Groupon and they offered me a trade in value for my purchase. Thank God my money was not wasted! I traded in for a different nail salon and now I have an appointment with a different place. The Nail Spot will never get a recommendation from me. I STILL have not received a phone call back from this lady after my 3 calls to her. My business must not be important. Side note: I did some extensive research after the fact and the owner (might be a one woman show) is extremely abrasive on social media! Her name is Gini Love and she attacks people on their comment threads if they have something bad to say about her nail salon. It's mortifying! The store was clean and way busier than I expected for a place that had just opened on a Saturday. The women who did my pedicure was very nice and we chatted a bit about our lives while she worked. The pedicure was great up until another women sat next to me for a pedicure. The women doing my feet instantly started chatting with her coworker, who was working on the women next to her. Normally I wouldn't mind this, but the quality of her work instantly dropped. It was towards the end of my pedicure, so it did not ruin my experience, but it did leave me a bit disappointed with the massage. I chose the pedicure I had for the longer massage time. The technician I had was very detail focused on my nails. She did not make any negative comments about how I prefer shorter nails, which I've had at another place in Beechmont. My regular pedicure cost $37 which is a great price. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
