I won't be going back to Dream Spa! It was my second time for a pedicure and I should have gone elsewhere. The water to soak in was cold, the service rushed. The tech was pushy about their "special" pedicures. I explained several times that I just wanted a basic pedicure and ended to with a service I didn't want that was $50.00. The tech didn't clean the dirt around my nails nor did he get the dead skin off. I had to come home and work on my own feet. I will be finding a better place that isn't so pushy! The almighty dollarr has gone to their heads and now it will cause the loss of not - just 1 client, but 2. I bought my wife a gift certificate for Christmas. She got a manicure and pedicure. She booked with the recommended person who is also the owner. She won't go back. It was not relaxing and no changes done in ambiance since i went there. It is a box. He pushed upgrades and didnt do her total nail requiring someone to come back sooner. He wouldn't allow her to add a tip on her charge. Said it had to be done on tipsy so it would go right into his checking account. He wouldn't allow less than 25% of toal including tax. She didnt have cash. I would have personally left no tip if it couldn't be added. All he is doing is skirting the IRS. He also said he wanted to breakaway from the family Hyde Park location. For premium pricing you expect premium service. You won't get it here. read more

She was good and I loved her but how so ever I didn't get the shape I wanted at all I only really like short nails not really long or anything and their not long but not as short as I wanted it to be I told them square oval and instead I got square. Coerced 5 star reviews, beware!!!! I had to delete my previous 5 star review, which I was forced to do upon leaving. Bo literally had me scan the code to get me to Google review, pointed to 5 star, then told me to press post. What the heck? I immediately walked out to my car and deleted it! I wouldn't have given a review, but to be coerced to give a high rating is not the way to earn my business. My pedicure was good, but my manicure was less than satisfactory. I have unfiled, rough spots, not to mention paint all over. I wanted a rounded shape, but he pulled out his card showing anything rounder than this shape was considered oval and is an extra charge because it takes more time. I came in today for a mani and pedi by recommendation of a co worker. I only usually get my nails done for vacations. And recently I stopped because I just couldn't find a salon I liked with good service or quality product or a price that wouldn't break the bank. Well Dream Salon and spa checks all these boxes. Marina did my nails and I came with an idea and she executed it to a tee. She was friendly and so detailed oriented. She above and beyond to make sure I loved my nails. And I did!!! Paul did my pedi and again so nice and detail oriented. Oh and let me tell you he gives an amazing leg and foot massage. I will be coming back for that alone!!! Started flaking off after a week, lost a nail putting on a skirt and progressively lost the rest of the nails over the next 3 days!! Second time here for a pedi, both times same issue. The technicians themselves do quality work. The issues are price transparency and upselling. I understand the art of upsells, and I don't mind them being offered. What I don't enjoy is saying what I want or saying no 3x. I heard multiple other guests also say no multiple times to their techs too. I agreed to do one of the seasonal pedis, treat yo self, and I was still being upsold on "how great the sugar scrub was." Also it took 90mins. 3 people have come in and gone and I was still sitting there while the tech was just now adding the 3rd coat of polish. If you can ignore that, the pedi does feel nice. read more

I got my nails done by Bo last week for my very first prom. they nails themsevels were very pretty and the staff was very nice. he told me then nails would last 2-3 weeks. i got dip powder. however a few days later, all of the nails had popped off. one after another. every time i looked down from dancing there was another one or two on the floor. if the nails were press ons i'd expect this but i paid $75 for them so i expected them last at least a week. i'm very disappointed with the quality of the nails. read more

When I first started coming here I had a great experience! I booked with Bo every time I came. I wasn't able to come for a little while because I just didn't prioritize my nails but when I came back I booked a service for acrylics and I was convinced to get dip nails when I didn't really want them. I loved all the acrylic sets I got here but the dip was very thick and the design was not very good compared to the other acrylics I got. It also seemed a little rushed even though I booked an appointment. Really one of the best nail places in town. I started going to their Hyde Park location several years ago for both nails (Bo, Allen, and Mariena) and hair (the fabulous Kaity) and this is their new (second) spot. Same great people and service. This location is twice as big as Hyde Park and the parking is right in front of the store-vedy suburban strip mall feel with shopping and restaurants nearby. I really love Bo's work and detail with my nails, so it was worth the 35 minute drive to see him at this place, where he will be working more often. They offer manicures, pedicures, salon services, and massage. You could have a total day of beauty here and it would be well worth your time. They are also really great about checking in with you throughout the process, so if anything isn't quite right or to your liking, let them know and they will make it right. I will be back! I have been to this salon four times before leaving a review. Each time I received excellent service. My first visit, Bo was very enthusiastic about me leaving a review. My second visit, Bo also did my nails and we were able to talk more. He is an educated professional and is eager for his family's business to succeed, which explained more of why he had asked for a review and encouraged me to do it right away my first visit My next two visits with Ana where great. She is very detail oriented and gentle. She talked to me but didn't chat a lot and focused on doing my nails well. I appreciated the way she listened to exactly how I wanted my nails done. Both I have been to many local nails salons and this is the place I will return. Their prices are reasonable, customer service is a priority, it is clean and they have a huge selection of services. I did not like the aggressive up selling of gel, dip, then vibrant regular polish (which I've never heard of that being more anywhere). Cuticle care not included in a basic manicure was frustrating. Just make a service the cost you want people to pay. Also learn to take no for an answer please! It makes it not relaxing to come here. And awkward to tell someone over and over I can't afford whatever they've asked me about 4x. I got the manicure but I was cut on 3 fingers so I'm covered in 3 band aids and can't enjoy my manicure. The man still did not believe me. They treated me as if I was a walk in now, so it took 45 minutes to start my pedicure. They spent 15 minutes on a pedicure and manicure total. I had an appointment at noon on Sunday and they were a little late opening but other than that it was a wonderful experience. Once they opened everyone apologized for running behind and my nail tech, Abby, was so friendly. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she delivered perfectly. My nails look great! This place was also extremely clean and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and get a pedicure! The best part is they are open Sundays abs and you can make an appointment online. read more

I typically go to the Hyde Park location because it's closer to where I live, but decided to make the drive to this new location to check it out - and it was completely worth it! They are so welcoming and professional and Bo did a wonderful job with both my mani (SNS) and pedi. I'll be continuing to make the drive. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Where to start. All started well, tech was very like able and talkative. Explained everything he would be doing for my pedicure & full set. Starting with the pedicure. I was offered a service that was advertised $10 off, then he proceeded to explain the service price isn't what was on the menu & was actually a different price than shown. A $65 "lavender" pedicure. Smelled no lavender & the price was different for me. Yes I should have left right then, I know. But I really needed a pick me up so we continue. He starts the pedi, lukewarm water. Lasted all of 5 minutes before he was painting my toes. He's painting my toes without toe separators, which makes sense why I've never seen this before because there was paint all over my skin. He scrapes it off with his nails. (Cringing but they're finally done). I initially added a paraffin dip to my pedicure, something else I will come to regret. He brings out two bags with barely a drop of paraffin in each one. Tries his best to spread it around but it's not going anywhere. Just hardens at the bottom of my feet and ankles. Terrible. Next he takes my feet out of the bags and begins to pick off the leftover paraffin from my skin! Another point where I should have just left. I've received this service too many times to not know how it's done. Where is the hot towel???? After paraffin (and really during any pedicure I've ever received) there is ALWAYS a hot towel placed. So here I am with paraffin all over my ankles and feet and he's like "all set!" Internally, I'm losing it. Trying not to get upset, I always shower after the nail salon anyways so I can wash it off. But it's the price and the principal. Not worth it. Still with me? Now to the full set. Somehow he talked me into getting dip powder over acrylic. Again, really nice guy but should have focused more on my requests than trying to chit chat with me. Firstly, he was very wild and sporadic with the hand drill. To the point I had to ask him to stop. I had to speak up for myself here because I refused to be cut and get an infection. He was talking, not paying much attention and very quickly swiping towards my cuticles. I had to beg him to stop as he didn't want to get anyone else & at first didn't care that I was worried. Anyways, he stops and moves on to the dipping. Most of which I HAD TO DO. He would put the gel coat on, then immediately walk away advising me on how to dip my own nails in the powder. At this point, this is a joke. Why am I sitting here doing my own nails? Lmao so this continues until all nails are dipped and it's time for shaping. I ask for a VERY general shape, tapered square. Or very skinny & sharp square. Easy? No. He's barely using the file and rounding off all of the corners. I'm losing it and can't hide it anymore. I grab my file from my purse and head to the bathroom to file my own nails the best I can. Because I know once the top coat is on doing any shaping is tough. So I'm filing away in the bathroom. Doing his job. 10 minutes later I come back and he's like "let me know if you like the shape before we move on." "Oh & we need you to pay before we do the top coat." I'm over it. I asked him thrice to make them more square and each time he would just round the corners. I was starting to feel insane. & now I have to pay before I've seen anyone else have to pay. I won't call it what this clearly is but yeah. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Most relaxing part was the spa music. Oh and masks aren't required. So protecting yourself isn't enough at this establishment when no one else has to and they could be potential carriers. I won't be back and wouldn't advise others to go. Most people can do these basic services at home with a youtube video and amazon order. Stay safe! read more

I made an appointment for this salon and went for the first time today. I had a pedicure and a manicure. The place is great! Very modern and clean. The staff was amazing. I worked with Bo and Marina. They made this spa morning very fun. I love my mani/ pedi and am ready for the weekend. I requested information about a girls spa party. They said it was no problem to bring wine and some snacks. Sounds like a great time and I definitely plan on doing that soon. Great place and a convenient location. read more

Wanted to try out a new place after going to Ambiance for years and sadly, this wasn't it. I booked my appointment online which was easy and I got scheduled with Marina. I ended up with someone else, not sure their name, and all was going well until I asked if nail art was extra (I expected something extra but their website stated nail art is free so wanted to double check). The guy didn't outright say yes or no but I was lead to believe there was no extra charge. After my nails were prepped, my nail technician then went to go start helping someone else while I sat there and waited. I get multitasking but this seemed rude? He finally came back, did my nails (took some creative liberty with them too) and while I like how they look, when it came time to pay, I was told nail art is usually $6 per nail but he gave me a discount of $3 per nail. If I had that number to begin with, I would've skipped it altogether. A $42 manicure turned into a $74 trip not including tip. Wish there was better price transparency here.
