Best acrylics my sister in law and I have found in lake county. The man who did my nails absolutely perfected them. And the woman who waxed my eyebrows was fast and precise. The woman who did my sister in laws nails was quick and did an incredible job. We were both very happy with the results. :) The bad is, I was pressured into a lip wax that I honestly didn't need. I was never told to go to the UV tables for drying my nails, I was sent over to the waxing station immediately. My sister in law, however. Was sent to the UV tables. Also, although we appreciated the speed this time because she had work. They were in a rush before they even knew that. There was no manicure included with the acrylic nails. I stopped in on my way home - had never been here and figured it can't be that bad. The man that did my nails was very nice, but SO SLOW. I always do a dip manicure. It took almost 2.5 hours to remove my old dip, cut/file and then do the new dip/top coat. No designs or anything fancy, just a basic color... it has never taken this long to get my nails done. He used the nail drill on my cuticles and they were bleeding when I left and are still red and puffy today (I went last night). I paid $45 + $9 tip b/c I believe in paying for services but I will never be back to this salon. read more

Asked for dip manicure, technician decided to finish the dip powder with a no chip top coat and cure my nails under the lamp. First time going here. The salon followed CV19 suggestions. They took my temperature upon arriving and made sure patrons followed social distancing. The nail tech that did my nails was Tony. The manager told me that I didn't have to pay because of how they looked and the nail technician chased me out to my car and tried opening my door and repeatedly was banging on my window. She kept screaming and hitting my car because I didn't pay, when her boss told me I didn't need to. Absolutely unprofessional and harassment if you ask me. I went to go get a no chip and they dipped my finger in acetone to remove the no chip while I was getting a pedicure. This was around 40 minutes long and it damaged my skin so much. RUN AWAY!!!!! This place is a joke! I made an appt & when I walked in for it, they were busy with Walk-Ins. When I let them know I was there for my appointment, they told me I would have to come back another day because they were busy. I told Helen I had an appt, but because she didn't write it down in her book, I'm suppose to not get serviced? I told her I left work early, am losing money because I left work early, and that I drove 30 minutes for my appointment THAT WAS BOOKED 4 hours earlier! She told me to wait. So, I sit around waiting 20 minutes, she couldn't be bothered. So I called another (much better) salon and walked out. This isn't the first time either they have done this. Their service is crap also because you call and make an appt. with someone specific, but you get there and they toss you off to someone else because again, they work on who they want to and do not care what the customer wants. Last time I was there, I made an appt. with Helen, but she passed me off to her husband telling me she doesn't do pink & whites. Really? You own the nail salon and do nails and you don't do pink & whites? So I tell her husband I want pink & whites and he literally starts giving me the 3rd degree asking why I want pink & whites. I told him because I do... but he wouldn't stop, he asked me over and over why do I want them, do I have something special coming up, where am I going, on & on. WHY does it matter what I want - just do what I am paying you to do! This is what you guys do - you do nails!! Well, some of you do, some of you need to learn how to and some of you need to care about NOT DAMAGING your customers nails with the way you split their cuticles, file so hard in one place that you burn the finger, pry old product off and destroy the nail bed, etc. You did me a HUGE favor treating me like crap (again) because I found an amazing salon that has great pricing, fantastic service, fully staffed with qualified and quality nail techs, and THEY DON'T HURT OR DAMAGE YOUR NAILS! Had to give this place a try when my coworker recommended me to Erik, and he did not disappoint!! I asked for a foil nail look and while my entire appointment did take about 2-3 hours (i had a previous gel set on my nails so removal was done first), I loved my nails and this is probably my best set yet! However, the nature of the way he removes a previous set seemed more aggressive/painful than my previous nail techs had done it in other stores I go to..he would use a tool over the nail but then would use an acrylic tip to then manually remove the gel from my nail causing a lot of discomfort and friction...that was the only downside..idk the verbage with nail removal but i know for a fact there are other ways to do this without causing discomfort for the client. I am fortunate too that i have natural strong nails, otherwise i don't think i would have put up with it. $55 was what i was charged for in total bc of the ombré look and i used two different types of foil/color. If I could come back again for another look like this I would, but the process of removing and the long tedious appointment isn't worth it! read more

I loved how they did my dip it lasted me 3 weeks like usual and wasn't too heavy I just moved in the area and normally dip doesn't take too long at my old salon 30 min tops even with a cool ombré, but when I went in it took over 2 hours for just the dip I was so frustrated since I also had to wait 40min when I was told there was no wait. I waited almost 2 hours to get my nails done at this establishment. They rarely look at the sign in sheet so there really is no "first come first serve" order. I ended up leaving and no one apologized or said anything about how long my wait was. Either the place is understaffed or just mismanaged. The nail polish smell is also the strongest I've ever smelled from any nail salon, enough to give you a headache. Went there and ended up getting a refund. I asked for a no chip manicure and a regular pedicure. The people were friendly and my pedicure was okay but the no-chip was another story. First, the person doing my nails starting pushing back my cuticles and filing my nails without soaking them. He then used the round electronic filer to file down the top of my nails-something I've had done for acrylics but never for gel manicures! Once he finished filing down my nails he then laughed and mentioned he forgot a step and then had me soak my nails and pushed back the cuticles AGAIN! After it was done I went to pay and he ran my card before he told me it would cost more than $60 for a mani/pedi!!! The people are friendly here and they are very good at nail design, but it's not the cleanest place. The location is old and has a strong odor when you first walk in. Also, the person who did my nails kept trying to push other services on me that I was not interested in at the time (such as no-chip or French). Even after I repeatedly told her I only wanted a simple one color manicure because I had some job interviews coming up, she still kept pushing. Needless to say, I walked out with something completely different from what I wanted and it felt like I had to argue with her not to do the no-chip (which would've cost me $60!). No soothing rubs, no salt scrub, just a quick nail trim and file, scrape of dead skin, and polish. Helen is part owner and not friendly, If you call on the phone, you can't understand what they are saying, If you make an appointment don't expect them to honor the appointment. They have no consideration for your time, but you miss an appointment time or are late they are pissed . Not a friendly establishment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The nail polish is cheap. They don't keep the utensils clean or use new ones like you are suppose too . The place is not clean, beware of the pedicure chairs. My nails were great, but both of my daughters got no chips and were horrible. The older lady did my daughter's, cut her cuticles til the bled, and said Oh no. Her nails look like bells. They are lumpy and sloppy looking. Then for her toes, she told the lady 3 times she wanted her toes to match. And she STILL proceeded to do white. My daughter just said forget it. I didn't see it until we pulled away and she started to complain. We got in car and if we didn't need to head somewhere else I would have marched her right back in. Then $20 to change polish? Wow. I just wanted a simple manicure and was pushed for the double priced gel polish at least 6 times after the initial no. My technician says she's been working here for 12 years? I was thinking more like 12 hours. I had finally grown out my natural nails and instead of nicely shaping them, she cut them down to stubs and hacked at them with a very course and painful file. She didn't even fully remove my prior polish, which is now all over my finger tips and showing through on the edges of my new color! Horrible Experience going there for the first time! Will never return! DO NOT have Kim do your nails! She was NOT Gentle by any means!!! She nicked my cuticals numerous times...which now I have an infection in my cutical that I am STILL treating. She was cleaning around my nails with her own nail with NO GLOVES ON! Gross! So Unsanitary!! When I asked for my nails to be cut down real short ( I happen to like them that way) file square with rounded corners she looked at me and said with them that short you need to just have them square. I said No I'm paying for them and I want them square with rounded corners. After all my nails were painted ( been there an hour now) she removed all the nail polish to start over with out even the courtesy to explain why, I had to ask why and remind her I needed to be at work soon. She acted like she could of cared less! She doesnt belong working in a nail salon! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I did speak with the owner regarding my complaints and he was very nice and apologetic.
